My friends over on 'The Sims Forums', are working on a collaborative world project that will encompass the journey on the Orient Express to Venice, London and France. The Orient Express Collaboration will join these three amazing and historic cities in one, huge world and, as such, we have to make much of this stuff from scratch.

Trying to recreate such monumental places such as these is a bit of a daunting task for me, but I love making new stuff for the sims and fortunately I had just the right idea. The 'Deliciously Indulgent Bakery' venue from the sims 3 store was, I thought, a really cute shell with a lot of potential to turn into a salon in the Paris portion of this incredibly large world. So, that's exactly what I did.

I've transformed the 'Deliciously Indulgent Bakery' into a salon by gutting everything but the bathroom stalls on the inside. To make this world more compatible to everyone, we're trying to keep as much store content as possible out of it. For this particular lot, I've removed and replaced the windows and awnings that came with this venue. So, it is now completely store content free and also third party CC free! YAY!

Francine's Beauty Boutique, Salon & Tattoo was made to, hopefully, look like the real thing. On the first floor of the main salon(this is the building on the right), I've made sure that there was a place for cutting hair, blow dying hair (the black lights that hang above the chairs are made to look that way) and washing hair. There's a check-in counter with a decorative register and shampoo and conditioner bottles to 'purchase' behind it. There are also a few dressing rooms on this level as well. Now, the second level is actually usable. It's got the stylist makeover thing on both ends and an additional fake dressing room. On the top floor, the stylist can research new design concepts and brainstorm. The middle building is for tattooing. First floor consists of the waiting room and then you've got two tattoo studios above it. Finally, I've made use of the ITF pedestals in the clothing store. There are three different pedestals and I've designed each one male to female, young to old. Now, if you want to change or add designs, your sim has to own the lot unless there's a mod for that, but, otherwise, I would recommend changing the lot type to 'residential.' You'll see that the only items that will disappear by doing this are the bathroom doors and the public trash cans, located by the benches, outside. You can make the changes desired and move out the sim, change the lot type and add the trash cans and bathroom doors back in and you're good to go!
