Default Sims won't put down books -bug
So I seem to have some type of bug with books where the sims are unable to put them down claiming they don't have the way. It's showing the "unable to walk there" icon. I do have some mods installed but I don't recall none of them having anything to do with books and the like. Are there any known mods that are known to create this bug? MCCC isn't showing an error notification. Thanks.

There really is no way to tell without a last exception file and if your game hasn't made one, then it'll take a bit of trial and error to fix the problem. First I would create a new save, exit the game and then start the game with the new save. If that doesn't work, take out all your mods, load your game and open your save, see if the problem is still there. If the problems is fixed after that, you'll have to slowly add the mods back to see which is causing it. If ALL of that fails, backup your sims 4 directory file in the documents folder and then delete it from the EA/electronic arts folder in documents. Start the game, it'll make a new directory and then just add in your saves from the backup and your mods as long as you are 100% sure they are all up to date and not conflicting.

Do you have a library on this lot? if so, try placing it without using MoveObjects On and see if that helps

in a recent patch functional objects got a bit buggy when placed with MOO and sims gets routing errors when directed to use them..
so it's best to avoid MOO with functional objects (any object that sims interact with, like beds, sofas, dining tables, bookcases, fridges and such)

Well what do you know, it was actually MCCC that generated this bug. No idea yet why it happens.

No, it wasn't MCCC, MCCC just tells you about errors, if you wouldn't have MCCC you will still get errors, it just that you want have any report about it..
MCCC LastException files can help determined what caused the error.. and usually it's NOT MCCC who caused it.

in your case it's mentioning this mod: http://modthesims.info/d/555813/fas...sive-speed.html
this mod was last updated at 2015.. so no wonder it's causing you issues..

there was a major patch at 16/11/18 which broke all of the script mods (because of a change in the language that is used to code the game)
which means, if you have ANY script mod since before the above date - it's probably broken and you should take it out..
search for updated for any other mods you have as well, and keep your mods up to date.

after doing so, delete the LastException file, and the Localthumbcache file (both in The Sims 4 Folder) before starting the game.
