Basic Log Cabin Kit by Loggin Kannuck

Imagine, the home of your dreams nestled far up in the mountains, all thoughts of civilization left behind. Built with your own hands, every cut made with love and care. In the spring, tulips cheerfully snuggle against the walls, summer brings cannonballs in a lake, echoing children’s laughter. Sweet smells of apple pie, pumpkins, and leaves in fall are carried on the winds that blow by. With winter brings frostbitten noses, snowball fights, and marshmallow filled mugs of hot chocolate by the fireside as the snow quietly drifts down. Home is where the heart is and Loggin Kannuck Industries can help you get there.

This is a project that I started nearly a year ago and kept getting sidetracked or simply discouraged with UV mapping or creating textures. I began working on it because the buildings in the mountain lots from Sims 1 Vacation looked funny without them. I kept waiting to see that someone had done them, always expecting they would (the base concept is relatively easy), but none were to be found. I can say I was significantly annoyed but delighted when Bon Voyage came out and Maxis' log cabin corners consisted of log ends pasted on wallpaper (that's pathetic). I simply wanted to have a more rustic set for some of my more reclusive Sims. The Cabin Corners in this set are decorative objects that need to be placed outside the walls with the “moveObjects on” cheat.

What is included:

LogCabinKitMESH
Log Cabin Corner
Log Cabin Foundation Corner

CabinCornerRECOLORS & FoundationCabinCornerRECOLORS
6 additional wood recolors each for both meshes
7 matching snow recolors each for both meshes

LogCabinWalls&Floors
7 matching wood walls
7 matching snow walls
7 matching wood floors

Loggin Kannuck Collection (this is the catalog sort for residential and community collections for the Base Log Cabin Kit.)*

Terms & Conditions:

Recolors: 100% allowed as long as 1.) if the recolor is posted on the net that you send me a link, I’d love to see how others would decorate my meshes! 2.) Link back to this post to obtain the original mesh 3.) if my textures are used but recolored (turning something from blue to green) proper credit is required 4.) do not, now or ever, upload them to pay sites (it’s mean and evil, you fiend!)

Lots: My meshes can be uploaded to lots on Mod as long as proper credit (and a link here would be nice) are given. Do NOT upload my objects on lots being posted to other sites, unless permission is given, the Exchange or pay sites are not allowed. And as always, let me know! I want to see your wonderful work as well!

Meshes: Do NOT clone my meshes, do NOT post my meshes on other sites, free or otherwise, most especially not on the Exchange! (it’s not hard to register on Mod.) A lot of time and hard work went into the creation of the meshes, and I’d like people to know where to look if I ever update them or add more, similar things in a set. It’s easier to post a link than it is to steal someone’s work.

If you really, really, really want to use part of a mesh I have made, contact me. Depending on what alterations/additions/subtractions/etc. would be desired, a compromise may be allowed. This is not a guarantee however, there must be enough change to the mesh to make it into a noticeably different object.

The sole reason for posting my work on Mod is to give back to the wonderful community that has already given me so much.

Polygon Counts:
Log Cabin Corner- faces = 434, vertices = 580
