Obakemono is japanese term for 'ghost' or 'spirit'. You can read more about japanese ghosts here: http://www.obakemono.com/

Old houses were considered places where you are most likely to contact with bakemono. Thats why japanese people usually avoided strange-looking broken mansions. There are many stories and legends telling about how dangerous trapping behind those walls is. But isnt making haunted house fun? Especially, when you create the haunted house with asian flavour, which is a lot more original than usual (and boring) neo-gothic castles? Thats why i created this set! I made it especially for creators of abandoned japanese houses. Textures of these shoji set represent different kinds of damage: from fire burning (burning heighbours house was the popular type of revenge in Japan :D) to katana ripping (good idea for those who create dead samurai mansions). Some of the shoji have lovely additional images on them - like cobweb on the shoji #5 and fallen leaf on the shoji #4, they help to feel the mood.
These shoji are simply wall coverings. You can find them under Building>Walls>Panels.
