This was loosely inspired by the Sims 4's Critic Career with City Living and was started around then. So you can see how long this took me! So without further adieu, here's the Critic Career! Like its Sims 4 counterpart, this career splits between Food Critic and Art Critic. This does not override any career in game.
For this career to show up, you will need the Nraas Careers Mod.
This career was made with Patch 1.69 and is in English and supports translations in German, Russian[/I, [I]Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch and French. If you're interested in translating this career, there are instructions at the bottom of the page.
The career is based at the Business and Journalism office and has five levels; one beginner level and four levels in each branch.
There are uniforms for this career. You can edit career outfits with Patch 1.31 and above, so I highly suggest using this feature to give your Sims a uniform of your own choosing.
There are 7 Opportunities available.
Your Sim may receive a bonus on Snowflake Day if Seasons is installed.
There is no boss for the top levels of the career.
There is are two custom tones; Write Review Notes, which builds the Writing skill and Post To Blog, which builds the Social Networking skill.
You will need World Adventure, Late Night and University for this career to work as intended.
Join Text ~ In the world today there are many subjects to discuss. The life of a Critic is to bring out the good in all aspects of the finer points in life. Be they food or art, the Critic will comment on the outcome and as such, a fine eye for detail is required to succeed in this career path.
The Levels
1. Critical Blogger ~ There are some things in the world that just drive you mad. The paintings you saw at the latest art show at the gallery just weren't quite right and there was something extremely off-putting in that meal you dined on last week. Instead of keeping these criticisms to yourself, you're going to put them out to the world on a blog designed for a critic.

Food Branch
2. Critical Reporter ~ Every so often, a catering magazine asks you to report on the experimental dishes the local restaurants produce in order to make recommendations to the readers. It's entirely up to you to take the reins and sample the dishes before making your decisions. Be fair and reasonable but above all, be honest.
45/hour
9.00am ~ 4.30pm
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
3. Radio Reviewer ~ After great success with your critiques, the local radio station wants you to have the dinner time slot to air your critiques and reach a wider audience. 4. Columnist ~ Having reached an audience as far away as SimCity, the local newspaper is interested in you having a regular Food column to put your critiques and opinions into print for people to refer to. 5. Restaurant Reviewer ~ Not only has your food reviews hit the spot and reached larger audiences than ever anticipated, but the papers and radio stations want you to start reviewing the restaurants themselves for cleanliness, politeness of staff and general food quality. This job is very important and you can't help but beam as you bear down on a new restaurant with pad and pen in hand.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
3. Art Evaluator ~ Your opinions have grown to be respected within the Fine Art community and you've been asked to attend a course in Art Evaluation. For Package files:
1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).
For Sims3Pack files:
1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.

4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.
