Hi everyone!

I made these two neoclassical paintings to use them in our Sims' house
  • The Origin of Painting or Dibutades Drawing
The myth tells that the daughter of Butades, a Corinthian potter, smitten with love for a youth, drew upon the wall the outline of his shadow, and that upon this outline her father modelled a face of the youth in clay, which he baked along with the clay tiles which it was his trade to make.
Made by the French painter Jean-Baptiste Regnault in 1786, this painting is currently used as an overdoor at the Salon des Nobles, at the Palace of Versailles.
  • The Origin of Sculpture or Pygmalion in Love With His Statue
In Greek mythology Pygmalion is a legendary figure of Cyprus, who was a king and a sculptor. He is most familiar from Ovid's narrative poem Metamorphoses, in which Pygmalion was a sculptor who fell in love with a statue he had carved and which changed to a woman under Aphrodite's blessing.
Made by the French painter Jean-Baptiste Regnault in 1785, this painting is currently used as an overdoor at the Salon des Nobles, at the Palace of Versailles.

Happy Simming!
