I've been playing TS3 for years, yet it wasn't until last week that I noticed gardening for some reason doesn't increase your sims' fun like . thanks EA
This is a small tuning mod that fixes that!
It makes it so each action (harvest, water, weed and fertilize) on each plant increases your sims' fun +15 continuously until the action is complete, so if you have more than a couple of plants in your garden the fun meter should start to fill quite quickly (hence the increase on each action being small).
If anyone would like me to upload other flavours of the mod that reduces or increases the amount of fun each action gives, just let me know!
There are now three flavours: +15 fun, +10, and +5. I use +15, but you can pick whichever suits your game best!
Please only install ONE file
Personally, I recommend putting the .package file in your Electronic Arts/Mods/Overrides folder just to be safe, but I'm pretty sure it works as it should if it's placed in your /Packages folder.
Small but important note, for some reason I could only make it so your sim gains fun from fertilizing their plants if you choose what they're fertilizing with yourself - the "Fertilize Garden With Best Fertilizers" action does not increase fun. I'm going to try and fix it, but for now, I didn't think it was worth not posting the mod just because of that.
Massive thank you to sweetdevil sims on tumblr for pointing me in the right direction with starting the mod, it wouldn't have been possible without them! Also credit to joshiejack whose outdated mod gave me the idea to create my own lol
