A school I'm building based off of one I went to briefly in my childhood. (Terrible picture, I know.)

A duplex.

Great buildings, guys! You inspire me! ♥

I've got two new lots; the first is the Kale household:

It's not really anything special from the front, but I forgot to take a picture from the back, from where you can see that the kitchen was done as a greenhouse. I think it's quite pretty like that; I'll try to get a good pic the next time I start up the game. =/

Then there's an untitled 1x1 lot (I love working small):

Well, it's not exactly a house...but I wanted the Hawkins family vacation home to start from scratch and develop over time, and I also didn't want to spend so much on Pigeon and Zeke's honeymoon that I didn't have enough left to do substantial work on the Home Place, so I sent them primitive camping. They loved it! They both have high nature enthusiasm and kept rolling cheap wants - swim in ocean, hike, fish, birdwatch, canoodle - until they were both tired and platinum and I could ignore all the expensive wants to buy things to fix the place up.

As you see, just the essentials:

Tent; roofless washhouse with two stalls, a sink, a locker, a strut-your-stuff shower, and a phone; pantry; grill to cook the fish they caught in the fishing hole community lot I added (in fact they never needed that - one catfish brought from home lasted them three days); makeshift hot tub; counters; and more dining space than they needed because when I furnished the lot I hoped you could have more than one family on vacation and visit back and forth like you do in the main hood. The house in the background belong to the other family I had on vacation at the same time. They're next door to South End Beach, but never felt the need to go there.

And of course the tent is set up facing the ocean view, which has absolutely everything else they need to have a spectacular honeymoon. Between the ocean cooling them off and the sink to drink from, I didn't even have an overheating problem.

Hi, i'm new to this community and this is the house i'm currently working on. It's a combination between the old and the new. Really like the 'floating' fundation. Might take a while to finish it, but when it is, you guys will hear it from me.

@ amora selvagen: Very nice church :O that might took you a while to make i guess. Very nicely made.

hehe, 1 to 2 hours you said? I wish i could do that. But i'm always struggling with shapes, colours and everything that it always takes alot of time. I also think this house will need alot of CC when i'm gonna furnish it since this is a style that maxis does'nt have. In a few days I will post more pics when possible.

Hello all like i said, here are more pictures of my progress with my mansion.

The front of the house with the square pond.

The back of the house with the carlot and the pool with poolhouse. (Not sure about the poolhouse though, might change that or remove it.

The floorplan of the 3 floors. (from bottom to top floor) I think it actually turned out pretty good

Ow, and i wanna thank tbudgett for his recolorable Pinegultcher stairs. I was kinda struggling with the stairs cause none was matching so thanks

I will try to furnish it good later on. Wish me luck Tips and tricks are always welcome so shoot

glad you like it about the pillars and the edge objects: http://www.blackpearlsims.com/downl...do=file&id=1313 they both come in the same set. Only need to register on the site i do really like them indeed. Great for smoothing edges and the columns and fences look awesome aswell when you make modern homes like this.

Well, here I am. Been away from the boards for awhile due to work overload...but during that absence I bought myself a three-year-old used desktop comp just for simming. I'm still looking for the perfect video card for it but in the meantime its integrated graphics chip is better than my 8-year-old laptop's graphics, so I've been having fun building stuff and taking pics that look a lot better than my laptop was capable of, the poor thing. Thought I'd share pics of a Maxis makeover I did.

Sometimes I wonder what the good folks at EAxis were smokin' when they built lots. I mean, I realize that they're limited to the base game and whatever comes with a given EP/SP, but geeeeez... This is the "Uplifting Loft," a lot bin house from Glamor Life:

Here's what I did to the exterior:

Heh...There is a front door in the middle. The tall "column" is blocking it.

Here are the floor plans:

And, here's the sleeping area of the master bedroom, just for the heck of it:

Mmmmm, I do love that elephant carving. I need to add colors to it, yes I do.

It occurs to me that the Glamor Life stuff reminds me of upscale 80s decor, what with the gaudy metal trim on everything that screams, "Look! A Nouveau Riche Yuppie lives here!" But then, I like the 80s, and I kind of like how this thing turned out. I might even use the place in my game. Stranger things have happened...

(sigh this blurry quality due to the MTS 175kb image size restriction )

DrowningFishy 8th Dec 2011 1:08 PM

The front, probably should recolor it... About the landscaping, well other then strangevilles teranne I seem to love the clashy look of the dead grey of downtown with the spray of landscaping... And yes that is a jacuzzi in the middle of the road... ... My bad. This is actually a house I made from my favorite floorplan but I screwed up some dimentions and decided to work with it and not fix it.

Taking it from the rear that's the lower floor (I don't have much to decorate houses on this laptop sorry)

Kitchen 1

Kitchen 2

Kitchen 3

Foyer, hahah didn't see this from the kitchen shot did you? My sims favorite part of the house.

Here are two lots I haven't shown:
Jugend skyscraper (I should've added two columns to the entrance niche)

Castle (not the final look since I had to add toilets)

Watch me resurrect this thread.

Been in "build mode" lately, and I decided that for once in my life I was going to build something on a not-flat lot and make the house fit into it rather than flatten the hell out of everything. This is what I came up with:

More pics and stuff can be found over here.

I'm fairly new to the forum, so I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place. :/

This is my Abandoned Victorian house that I made... It's been abandoned for about 60 - 70 years, so everything in it is real old and broken/run down.

Close-Up of House:

Front Yard - Side View:

First Floor:

Second Floor:

Third Floor "Tower" Room:

Can I get some advice from everyone on the outside? I'm pretty good with the inside and the building of the house itself, but the outside - I'm just not that great at.

Backyard:

By the way, everyone's pictures are just simply amazing!

EDIT: Forgot the close-up shot...
