Oh no! ;_;
My condolences to her family and friends... I'll always remember her amazing creations, from the shell house to the small community lot.
She will forever be a valued member of the community.

So sorry to hear of this sad news. Rest in peace, Mootilda, you will be missed. My condolences to the family at this difficult time.

The great Mootilda will live on in my heart every time I run HoodChecker (proof of her genius!), every time I visit her mini comm lots in their incarnation in my game as the Strangetown Strip, every time I gleefully download a creative lot that could not exist without at least one of her creations...
But dammit, what are we going to do without you, Moo? The permission to take over her work in case of her disappearance or death suddenly makes a lot more sense, but nobody, no matter how gifted a programmer, could replace Moo herself. To be so gifted and varied a creator would be cause for praise alone; so would be being such a kind and helpful frequenter of the forums, with no scorn for even the shyest, most fumbling of newbies. To be both...is more than that. It is a gift to us, a gift we did not deserve, yet one we embraced with relief that at least someone cared. And I don't think we ever thanked you enough. I'm having a hard time finding words for the immense gratefulness I have for all you've done, and they don't feel enough...but they're something, and something I wish I had typed while you were here to read them. And now that I'm typing them, it's far too late, and there are no mystical telephones or genie lamps in the real world to make up for it... I can only hope the Reaper came complete with hula girls and fruity drink for you, no matter how old you were. We get some compensations for this harsh world, do we not?

Heartbroken.
I didn't know her very well, but I find myself having tears in my eyes as I write this. It's always sad to loose someone, especially when it's sickness that takes them away.
My prayers go to the family and friends.

Very sad this happened to such a giving and creative person.

Her Sims2PackCleaner saved my game many times.
Her Hood Replacer has made my game more interesting; my Strangetown is lush and green.
I use her Hood Cleaner every time I start a new neighborhood after I've deleted the townies (and their memories which remain in the game without her mod) that I don't want through SimPE.
I've played her Brainania University template in a lot of my neighborhoods, which I fondly always rename "Moo U".

In a world where destruction is common, she used her time to create and make others happy through those moments where they could forget their problems. To her family and friends: she will be missed.

Very sad news

How terribly sad to hear this - My thoughts are with her family and friends. She appeared to be well loved and I'm sure she will be deeply missed.

catparty 7th Sep 2014 7:12 PM

I remember a few years ago when I dipped my toe into the modding scene, she showed such incredible patience and was never snippy or made me feel stupid. She was one of the only people I didn't feel guilty asking questions to because she was just so friendly and receptive.

She was such a truly special person and one of a rare breed who is both talented and generous with their time.

Simdrew1993 7th Sep 2014 8:17 PM

Aww, that's really sad I've been here for a long time so I've seen Mootilda around all over the site helping people. Cancer is an awful thing it takes life away all the time it's sad to hear that we lost such a valuable person in our our community. I lost 2 family members in the past due to Cancer my little Cousin and Grandma both who I never got to meet because of that.

I liked Mootilda. I didn't know her too well personally but she was so much help to the community if I seen her solution to a problem I knew it would work before even reading it. I'm gonna miss seeing that little cow avatar. Her programs fixed my Sims 2 game quite a bit saved me from having to start over entirely. I will really miss seeing her around here she was always very helpful, incredibly smart, and to everyone she was always nice. I pray for Quatchi, and the rest of her family, they have my sympathies as well as ModTheSims, Rest in Peace Mootilda.

We will never forget you. :'(

RIP Mootilda, may you be gone in body, but your spirit will live on through your works, and in the hearts of those whose lives you've touched.

To Mootilda's family, I'm sorry for your loss. I'm glad to hear she passed peacefully with you surrounding her with your love. I didn't know her personally, but from what I could see she was a kind person, always eager to help her fellow simmers. My prayers are with you.

I just found out today when freefalldreams sent me a PM. (I have the Sims 2 forum bookmarked and seldom look at the front page.)

Oh mootilda, I can't believe that you're gone! You were such a stalwart of the forums here. Such talent and kindness combined in one person must be rare. I'll not forget your patient answer to my anguished cry when I first ran HoodChecker and got about 30 screens of errors in a base game Maxis 'hood. And to think that you were suffering when you were patiently answering all the questions from newbies like me. You will be most sadly missed in the Sims 2 community.

May you rest in peace,
and rise in glory.

Quatchi, I am very sorry for your loss. Anything I say will be inadequate. You can see how much she was appreciated and loved by the Sims community. She must have been a wonderful person to know face to face.

I'm so sorry, I used so many of her mods and she was an amazing creator - my heart goes out to her family and friends!

MissNorris90 8th Sep 2014 12:56 AM

My deepest condoleances to Mootilda's family and friends. I didn't know her, but her mods have been a great help and probably kept my game from going down in a fiery ball of corrupted game files. She will be greatly missed.
