I actually read the first three books because a friend bought them for me and gave me money to read them... worst deal I've ever made. Yes the books were terrible, but I've read worse. What really annoyed me was when my sisters' generation started reading them and thought it was such a romantic book. Thank god my sister has common sense. At least SHE understands that guys who watch you sleep without you knowing and try to pull you away from your friends are bad news...
But I digress. Please, don't let me get started on a real rant against that series. I get loud. My favourite family was actually the Pok Household. Assertive woman? Criminal dating a spy? Yes please! First thing I did was tag them both as not being allowed to break up. EDIT: I'm expecting to have a toddler with my family when I move to Moonlight Falls. If the toddler is a girl I'll have her make friends with the Goodfellow and Rodgers babies. If male, I'll make a love triangle! : D |

I like the EA approach to faeries, anyway. The Goodfellows' backstory suggests they don't understand normal sims very well. Classic mischievous faerie behavior.
|
Yeah, it's nice to hear they haven't just gone with popular culture references, but have also used actual fairy stories to refer to with the baby swapping.
|
Update!
4.19 - Don't be the Bad Guy http://sarisimsrandomlegacy.blogspo...be-bad-guy.html I don't have any snide comments for this chapter. |
Nice looking fairies Reya!
The beekeeping is fun. I wish it would stay clean, though. I had to barricade a maid from constantly cleaning it by surrounding it with a fence and a locked gate. lol I like the idea of it being put in with farming. ![]()

There's one family in Moonlight Falls ( Roommates Supernatural), where there's a ghost, werewolf, and vampire. I reference to Being Human.
![]() I'm kinda sad to admit that I have all four Twilight books, and I've read them (Still do when I'm bored). I bought them each for 16 cents on a website. So I get the references in the game. |
I think the Twilight series caught a lot of bad (fickle) press from overly critical adults to be honest. I read the series with my daughter (I'm going to end up dating myself here badly) when she was 12. By the time she was 14 and the last book came out, she hated them, mainly due to the terrible movies ruining it for her and some of the media criticism. My daughter loved them when they were relatively unknown and she loved the simple story. To her, at 12, she didn't care that the writing wasn't the greatest in the world (as I the adult noticed). Myself, being an old Ann Rice fan, found some of the ripoff a little annoying because Ann Rice wrote some really gritty sophisticated vampire stuff (to which Interview with a Vampire was written) ... but there again, those were adult novels. I would not have expected the Twilight series to be the same caliber whatsoever, it was written with young teen girls in mind.
![]() So in summary, don't be ashamed of either liking or hating the Twilight books. I think it did successfully at what it was designed to do. The movies however, totally different story. ick. |
@ Envie
I was about 12 when the first book came out, and the librarian at the library in my town asked me to read it so I could give it a review to have in a display. I loved it then, because at that time, I was really into vampire books, and the writing was simple. By the end of the series, I didn't particularly care anymore, other then hating the movies. (Though I still admit that I will be watching the last movie when it comes out.) Reading the book now, I can see the writing as not being as good as I can recall as a twelve year old, and I can see why other people think the books are terrible. So really, I still -like- the books in a way, but at the same time I dislike them. I only bought them because another friend wanted to read them, and she couldn't go to the library because she lived too far out of town. I'm sad that I bought them for that reason, and because when I read them at school during lunch, if I wasn't in the library, I'd get teased for reading them. And now they collect dust in my basement. And now back to sims. I'm hoping to get a chapter out today. Once I'm finished working on this house. |
I admit to taking a lot of inspiration from Anne Rice whenever I write lore. I LOVE her history of vampires from Queen of the Damned and just the way she incorporates everything so well despite having so many books.
Plus, y'know, Lestat. I'd die happy if he wanted me. Sorry. Fangirl. Can't help it. |

But I've just read comments on the French forum saying that zombies are a real mess.. they come from the ground, destroy all vegetables and fruits, and make a lot of unwanted troubles to players..they come on residential lot and are impossible to destroy.. As soon as one has been killed , he come back the day after as if anything had happened. I'm hesitating about turning off all SN monsters as I don't want them to create too much unwanted effects or issues in the game |
I don't have SN yet, I'm expecting it on Monday, but I'm already planning to install the no zombies mod. I really have no use for them.
|
I will be making an update for SN... I was waiting until we had figured out the new set up rules.
|
NutsAndDolts, would you consider adding a link to your new legacy on the blog for the Barnacle Bay one? I had been checking there in case it popped up, and kind of only accidentally found it linked on this thread. So in case there's anyone else like me who doesn't check this thread but is interested in your legacies, they'll be able to find it easily.

The Too Many Zombies problem is an EA bug. Crincrict posted that EA says it happens when you save during a full moon between the hours of 5 pm and 8 pm. That is why some had so many, and some didn't have very many. I personally, don't want them, so I installed a mod that keeps them out of my game. Works quite well!
![]() I have a couple of questions---if they were covered in the rules---sorry I didn't see it! What are the rules in regards to the Wishing Well? For children and money. You always get an evil child out of the thing, if that wish is granted. I can't remember how much money it gives you, if you get any. Second, more of a clarification. Can you have more kids than you roll for? So, if I roll 3 kids, can I have 5, just my heir has to come from the first 3? Just wondering! Thanks! ![]() |
You can't wish for money on wells, genies or any thing else that has a wish for money feature.
You can wish for a child, and the child will count toward your child total for that generation. This also includes voucher clone children, time machine children and any other children produced not through normal adoption or pregnancy. You can only have the number of children you rolled for, but if you have twins or triplets in your last pregnancy that takes you over the number, that's fine. |
Nirar's question about kids is one I've been meaning to ask as well. I play with autonomous woohoo choices on (twallan's) and sometimes I don't notice they 'try for baby' and I'm pleasantly surprised a few days later when she turns up pregnant. I can turn it off once I get to the required number or um, use some sim birth control if necessary, but wanted to know what happens if there's an 'oops' after the last child rolled or if you rolled 2 and then on the second kid got twins by chance and not because you used fertility treatment (I stay far from fertility treatment in most cases haha).
Thank you for planning to update the random roll app CyyKosis, you rock! Edit: Nevermind, Calisims just answered it as I was typing my reply. ![]() |

Sorry, mimi, I just added the two branches of fortune telling to the C careers.
I think the casino was discussed but I forget what the decision was.I don't have that stuff myself. |
The casino gambling was discussed. We were like "yeah whatever, don't abuse it". It's under the list of exceptions in general rule #4.
"(7) if you have the store content slot machines, you are free to use them, but try not to abuse," We're giving our players a lot of freedom to moderate themselves. If it feels cheaty and you don't want to cheat, don't do it. Mainly we didn't want to ban it because it might be good for screenshots. |

Alrighty then, Gen 2 just got harder. lol. I usually play with large families, never just 2 kids. Oooh tough!
Thanks for the answers though! I remembered reading about genies and stuff, but not the well. So I was double checking. ![]() |
I was only thinking C3 (Professions) because we put the Late Night film careers there, as well as Medical.
Though I guess we only did that to even out the C3 category, which at that point only had the Ambitions stuff. |
Late Night professions and Medical careers have missions outside the rabbit holes (vaccinations for example), maybe it's the reason why they had been included in the C3-careers.. But the fortune teller career doesn't seem to have missions linked to it. But maybe I'm wrong... So, if there are missions linked to this career outside the caravan rabbit hole, I agree with you that this career should be included in the C3 professions

I should keep up better and I won't get distracted so easily! I'm trying not too get too excited about Supernatural, though, since I've already decided I'm going to wait until Seasons comes out to get them both at the same time. But, Cece, I Love your fairies! I think it's a wonderful way to put yourself in other people's shoes and learn some understanding and empathy, though. ![]() |
Okay, I'm getting ready to start my own legacy here (pretty stinking excited about it, to be honest). I've decided to roll at least two generations ahead (just so I don't have to stop playing as soon as I have a kid to look at the next gen's goals - I can just keep playing). So my Gen 2's generational goal is "Perfect Children." Does that mean Generation 2 as children must be perfect, or that Gen 2's children (Generation 3) must be perfect?
|
It means generation 2's children (generation 3) must fulfill the perfect requirements. =) So you don't have to worry about them for a while yet.
|
Okay, thanks :D
And I have one more question (hopefully this'll be the last for a while, but I'm pretty renowned for my questions, so...). I don't understand the "Idle Career" generational goal - like, I've looked through all the generational goals and I have no idea what that one means, if I end up getting it during my legacy. Let's just randomly say I had a gardener or something (cuz I can kind of understand it with a rabbithole career). How do they avoid gaining skill levels? They're naturally going to gain skill levels just by doing their work. |
Miss Puff, I haven't played WoW since Feb 2011... and I'm in danger of being sucked back in (patched 12GB the other day). You are never, ever safe.
|
If your sim is an unfortunate idle career gardener, they'd only be allowed to garden until 2 level ups had occurred for that week. Then they'd have to stop.
Idle Careers is so against my play-style, I personally refuse to do it. I just re-roll when it comes up, and don't even subtract a joker. But the rule itself even mentions a loop hole... your gardener could try to max the skill as a teenager, then they technically wouldn't be gaining any levels at all per week, and could garden to their heart's content. x.x You'd be dirt poor as a gen 1 sim, though. Sad. xD |
Awesome, thanks!
Okay. My first roll involves a couple having three children. One of them is supposed to go into the Criminal (Evil) branch and the other into the Law Enforcement (Super Spy) branch. The game is mocking me already. These are going to be some interesting family dynamics! Generational goal is Hobby Or Obsession, while fun goal is Hands Off. I'm obsessive-compulsive about dragging the newspapers and trash to the trash can, so my eye's going to be twitching for a little while, asking my Sims to do it... I shall set up a blog soon. Is the blog at the Sims 3 site sufficient or would I be better off getting a Blogspot or something similar? |
Personally I just think blogspot is neater because you have your story in one place rather than all over a thread on different pages and the like. That way if someone... three months from now joins the group and likes your legacy its much easier for them to find chapter one and read from there.
|
I personally prefer Blogger too...
On the subject of updating my app, it will be out tomorrow by 2pm CST. Having some problems with my IDE (basically the program I use to write the code that becomes the application). I'm solving the issue now, so no worries ![]() |
I'm disappointed to find out fortune telling is a rabbit hole job. I was really hoping they'd make it an outside career you could do on the side or as a full time active career as it would make some great story telling material, especially paired with criminal activity!
|
Ughh. Designing and trying to make a blog page look nice is not my forte. I could describe how frustrated I am, but I think a picture would describe it much better.
![]() If anybody knows how to do great blog design, maybe someone can help me. But otherwise, I'm going to just get by with what I have and worry about making it look how I want it to look later. Hopefully I'll get to starting on this legacy tomorrow, but I do have a challenge that I've done that I can post on that blog once I get it up. It is coming soon. |
I think something of mine is glitched. May be my house or Moonlight Falls all together, but upon loading, at least 1 sim in the house resets themselves... Dangit!
|
The lot reset thing happened to me today too, Teal.
This is what I was working on today instead of a new chapter xD... Becky, you're a genius! Now no one has to read those god awful early chapters to understand the history... Previous Generations: 1 - 23 http://sarisimsrandomlegacy.blogspo...enerations.html ... Generation 5 will eternally be my favourite. LOOUNNAAAA < 3 |
Oh the Previous Generations page is GREAT! Thanks for that, I am starting with Sari (and nearly caught up except I'm distracted with the new EP atm) - so its nice to be able to get a summary of all those others in the ancestry!
![]() |
Teal and Reya, do you guys have ErrorTrap? I think that was a problem with the last version. Twallan released another version today.
![]() @misslaheela---I hear you! I'm just winging it as I go myself. Yesterday I think I figured out how to add the "Followers" option, so I was pretty happy about that. I just add little by little as I figure it out. ![]() |
Yes. Yes I do have error trap. Goanna go and get the new version now. Thanks, Nirar!
|
Yeah, I have error trap too... BUT I deleted my house and started doing up another before checking here... Luckily, I have it saved to the library and can go back to it if I miss it too much. It was purdy.
EDIT: I forgot I was actually smart enough to make a different save to test if it was my house or the world, before I was told it was Error Trap... YAY OLD HOUSE!! |

The babies don't have wings, but the toddlers are supposed to. That's odd.
Anyway no, I haven't tested breeding them. You could try going into CAS and checking if they are fairy or human? |
I'm wondering too if it's not an effect of one of Twallan's mods.. Twallan like to give us option to regulate our populations. Check your mods options, maybe there is one to turn on or turn off to have more fairies in your town
|
When the babies are born I've gotten into the habit of checking their occult (I was cross breeding for fun) and nothin'. I wait until they're toddlers, and in CAS they're listed as human. Through MC they're human, it's odd. I KINDA checked through the settings of Nraas stuff, but wasn't overly sure where to look. It's a smidge strange.
I forgot to mention, it's not only fairies, no supernatural is producing supernatural children. |

Teal, there's definitely something peculiar with it and I'm not convinced its twallan's or any mods doing it. I'm currently playing a sim teen I had ask to move in the crowded MacDuff household. I like their house a lot. Of their kids it looks like this: 1. Oldest twin son (Jules) - A witch at the start - stayed a witch aged up to YA now 2. Second twin son (Joe) - not a witch, and did not age up to witch as YA 3. Daughter (Faith) - teen at start, with witch, still a witch 4. Daughter (Felicity) - child at start, NOT a witch, aged up to teen and became a witch. 5. Baby Son (Reginald) - infant at start, not a witch, aged up to toddler, still not a witch I carefully checked their status when I first started playing with them. The parents are mixed with the Mom a human sim and the Dad a warlock sim. So apparently, at least with witches so far, the onset of their witch status can come on later, as far as teen in my case. I do not know if this is a 'feature' that's intended or a bug. Just thought I'd throw this out there because it will obviously change a lot of legacy stories if you assumed a child in the family was not a supernatural and later they become one! (Personally I like the surprise factor) :lovestruc @Uniqueflower: Witches are so far my favorite of the playable supernaturals, with fairies a close second. I like the newly "Re-vamped" (har har) vampires, but haven't played much with them yet. Werewolves are my least favorite so far. They seem pretty obnoxious (like ill behaved dogs). Hahaha. Zombies are my all time favorite for non-productive supernaturals haha. I am only happy to have something to do with a town full of stupid pudding sims (like Twinbrook) to enact my zombie apocalypse. They aren't playable in the same way the others are, and too stupid to work with, but they are funny. |
Thanks you, i love the idea of fairys! So I've decided to make a warlock and a fairy for my new legacy 😊
I won't be writing about it due to GCSE's and purely not having enough time with homework and hobbies, but I shall keep you updated with pictures and some info :D |

Take 'em with you and kill them with MC? Take 'em with you and stick them in another house and pretend they're not there?
Take 'em with you and plop them in the house next door, and have that be part of the story? ^^ |
Kayla~Are you having trouble unzipping it or actually launching the program? If its the latter, do you have Java installed on your computer? Most do since a lot of websites use it... but just in case here's the link to it: www.java.com/getjava/
|
If its a family of more than 8, or numerous households you can use Twallan's Porter mod to move.
I think Heaven set up her current generation to have the old town she used (where her heir's parents live) as a vacation world, so they're still synched up in the family tree, but not in her current town. No idea HOW she did that though. |
@Kayla: I would use NutsAndDolts idea to take them with you and then use MC to remove them from the game so they stay attached to your family tree.
The other thing I've done is use a 'sister' world to move my Sims I want out via vacation / Traveler mod by twallan. It's buggy as heck (families still disappear occasionally) but you do a manual save right before traveling... then while in the vacation world, that sim is altered to live there somehow...either by buying a property, moving permanently, marrying a local sim there, or even just manually moving them in with another household there. This will keep the sim 'alive' in your family tree...but do note, if you don't play that vacation world much, they will remain in suspended animation and not age. hehe. Edit:
Quote: Originally posted by ReyaD
She's doing the same thing I've done with two island worlds. One Island is my main play world, and the other is the 'vacation' world. You need to use the Traveler mod to adjust the vacation world as permanent once the intended sim you want to move there is on vacation. It's somewhat buggy for me, and I always take a spare along just incase... meaning the sim I want to move there stays while the spare sim goes back to the home island. You adjust the settings via townhall on the 'vacation' world, same as you do your homeworld. |
Quote: Originally posted by ReyaD
You mean aside from being awesome? I used Traveler. It takes a bit of planning if you don't have the town set up right. 1. First, have someone call for a vacation and choose where you want to go. Double click the sim you have traveling so there is no one in the window. Then you can go to the town without taking anyone. From there, set up your base camp and vacation home lots. If the world already has these lots designated you can skip this step and step 2. 2. Choose a family and "take a vacation", not actually taking anyone with you and you can choose your active family again. 3. Now take your active family member that you want to move and have them take a vacation to the correct world. When they arrive, have them buy the vacation home. 4. Use the NRaas menu at City Hall, choose Traveler, and "Change Hometown". Your family tree should be preserved (though sometimes it gets buggy but that's EA's fault with the traveling issues). If you want everyone to age back in the old hometown, have your sim take a vacation back for a few days and that should implement the aging and story progression for that town. Also, Skyegal, please no double posting. |
Maddie, it worked before, maybe I just am not updated. I'm redownlaoding now.
Thanks guys, I will be using Porter and will probably MC the family member's deaths Edit: Looks like I wasn't updated to the newest Java. Thanks! |
Ah thanks for an explanation how you do it heaven, it seems like a good method though prone to the traveler bugginess too. Your way seems better because you don't have to take a partner sim who returns to the other world while the one you want to move stays.
My method is to move away the sims I don't want in my play town (ie a brother moves away to another town). |
For those who run Twallan's SP, you may want to check your Occult Town Ratio settings. The default is 50 %, but if you are running an occult heavy population, you can easily exceed that, and any new babies would be born without the occult trait to keep the ratio.
I have another chapter up:Chapter 5: First Love I will probably have 2 more up later on tonight. They are written, and I have the pics for it, I just need to put it together. But I have to go to my Mom's this afternoon, so they will have to wait. ![]() Edit to add---Thanks Maddie for the new application! |

Gonna go change my occult ration right now! |
Ugh. I'm finally done tasseling with that blog. It's acceptable now. http://misslaheelasims3.blogspot.co...09/hey-all.html
Title is based off Sim Male Voice 3 (I think), one of the things he says when you click on it. Because I suck at titles. But hey, there you have it. I have posted my reality show story (The Addison House), so you can check that out as I start my legacy challenge. Updates to come shortly. Excited to start! |
You're welcome Envie---I hope it works for you. I try to read every thread over at Twallan's site---it takes a while, and when it gets crazy (like right now!) I fall a bit behind and miss some threads. But I also pick up on some solutions to some of the problems people have, and then pass it on. The Occult kidlets was a recent topic.
![]() ![]() Speaking of dumb questions, I have another one. I have never tried to perfect the handiness skill, and Kona is almost level 10 in the actual skill. He has completed one of the handiness challenges. I'm about a third of the way through the Upgrade challenge. But the one that has me a bit concerned, is the electronic challenge. Fix 10 broken electronics. Tessa at Sims Asylum suggested I try using the tinker interaction on electronics to get them to break. (I usually avoid trying to break these electronics, so this is a new experience!) It made sense, so I bought them a cheap tv and had him tinker on it. Unfortunately, I think his skill is too high, because he only upgrades them, not break them. So I tried using his daughters---they don't have any handiness skill. Wouldn't you know it---they upgrade the dumb thing too. Does anyone have any ideas on how to find broken electronics so he can fix them? Thanks! ![]() |
Do you have Ambitions? If so, you can try the scrap yard. You'll usually find broken appliances there to take home.
|

I really wish they'd change it or fix it - what's the point of junkyard spawners other than something to detonate. You should be able to fix them / refurbish them for your house if your Sim is the handy / upcycling kind! My Sim Simon would love this as he's eco friendly and frugal, so refurbishing junkyard stuff should be something that he could do and make him very happy! Alas. ![]() |

That one's tough. I remember Melissa once had the "Perfectionist" goal and the "Living in the Past" miscellaneous fun (which we removed from the rolls, cause it was an awful goal). With that particular miscellaneous fun, you couldn't have any electronics or modern appliances in your house, so I believe she used the handiness skill opportunities to perfect the handiness skill. You know, the ones where a neighbor's appliance breaks and you fix it for them for a little money. But those can be hard to come by. I don't know if this would be cheating, but I suppose if you were desperate you could either a) Use twallan's DebugEnabler mod to break the TV or b) Use MasterController to obtain those handiness opportunities. That's a tricky question though! |
Melissa's sim for that roll was also a firefighter, so they upgraded appliances around the fire station, and fixed broken computers in people's homes before saving them, lol.
Anyway, just using the cheapest appliances can often cause them to break. Purchase a cheap television, have someone watch it, then stop watching it, then make them watch it again. Repeat until it breaks. The cheapest televisions have an incredibly high chance of breaking. The chance may be lowered if the sim is handy (not sure)... I know it's higher if the sim is clumsy. |
That's was Wolf Roman's mother, Phoenix! I'm surprised you remember that, lol.
I did use opportunities to achieve that challenge, and I also was able to get a few repairs in with Phoenix being in the firefighter career. The TV or stereo would break sometimes at the firestation when the other firefighters would use them. And, during an emergency I actually spent time fixing a a broken PC on the lot (yes, I left Sims pinned under the rubble while repairing a PC just to complete this challenge. I still got a 'A' on the rescue job, lol). Anyway, since you can't do that, I would say it's okay to use debugging to break objects to repair them,or MC to force the opportunity. |

Usually the cheap tv breaks a lot, when I don't want it to. Now that I do---it's being stubborn! So I decided to ask for some ideas, because at this rate, Kona is going to fail his challenge, and he's worked so hard for it! lol I'll try MC first, it feels a little less cheaty, since it is adding in opportunities that exist. I'll keep trying with the cheap electronics, as well. I wish the junkyard worked, that would be perfect. I knew about DeBugEnabler, but wasn't sure if it was allowed. Thanks for the help!
![]() New chapter is up : Chapter 6: Moon Shadows ![]() Edit to add: Another chapter is up: Chapter 7: Strange Illness |
Alright, the first chapter of the Overlord Legacy is up. I'm actually really thankful for that first roll I got. It basically set up my story for the whole legacy.
Chapter One - Introducing the Overlords I've got a couple more chapters coming as well, but it's getting late at night, so I'll look at posting them tomorrow. Feedback is awesome! |
*Throws a fit*
I dunno if its a bad mod, corruption, w/e but after re-updating my Nraas mods my game just went to hell. Constant crashing, resting sims, 40 errors caught by error trap in... 5 minutes. Then pearl just goes poof, and even "recover missing sims" can't find her. So I got the photos I needed, then exited without saving. Screw it all. I'm getting rid of all my mods, starting fresh, and then- no I cant do that... I love my mods... Someone hold me. I'm feeling melodramatic today. I'll fix it tomorrow. Tonight I just want hugs. |
Thanks for the reminder about about 50% occult thingo... It fixed it
Also, next Gen. Gen 8:Edie Hemlock 1 Kid Education Criminal - Evil Social Bunny Partier |
*hugs Cece* I wonder what's causing it! I hope you can figure it out... At least you know it's probably one of Twallan's.

So guys, sorry I haven't updated again yet.
I've just moved down to my uni accommodation and haven't had the time to write chapter 36 yet. hopefully i can be bothered to get it done soon :p |
*falls over* So I got home yesterday, played a little, got everything set up for the next chapter, and this morning I got on to post it and noticed that I had NO blogs listed in my Reading List. What the heck. Now I have to go back and redo all that.
|
Harlequin, I've had that happen to my reading list on blogger; it comes back after awhile.
|
I'm now caught up on Heaven's legacy. Finished it last night
|
Ah, thanks for the heads up cali.
![]() New chapter's up! I might actually have the next one up later today, too. I'm procrastinating a LOT on my homework and just want to play Sims, so that's what I'm doing. Also, to whoever asked me about Bridgette's house (I don't remember who it was, I'm sorry ![]() ![]() |
I've been thinking about the app I maintain... considering running it through a web browser so when you'd want to roll, you'd just go to a website to do it. That way I could just update that control and you'd never have to re-download the app since the page would automatically update to include the new rolls, etc. That being said, if I went that route, there are a couple of different ways I could do it: ActiveX, Silverlight, etc. I know a lot of people have reservations about ActiveX controls due to malicious coders out there using its lack of security to penetrate users systems, so I don't want to use that if people would be wary of my app (Don't worry, I'm not a malicious coder!). On the other hand, the Silverlight plug-in works great on Windows, but sometimes its a pain on Macs.
I actively code using ActiveX and Silverlight at my job (Application Developer) and decided to see if its a viable route for the roller program. Basically, I'm looking for everyone's opinion. I've added a poll to the app post on the RLC blog so that lurkers can vote if they don't want to register with MTS. I'll leave it up for a few days so everyone can insert their opinion! ![]() |

Cece: My suggestion would be to remove all your mods, and just start with a few of twallans. Your crashing / mega errors / resetting sims does not sound like the Nraas mods as I've gotten all mine updated from him and experiencing no problems at all. The only bugs so far have been glitches from EA's side. I have not yet introduced all my 'other' mods ... like construction mods, modded furnitures, specialty items (buzzler's box and writing notebook). I wanted to play all weekend without extraneous stuff and CC first to be sure I had all my twallan mods working and they are. Your problem sounds to me more like a corrupt piece of custom content or a specialty mod not part of twallan's group. Example: After that big 1.38 patch from hell, I had the exact same issues you described. All of Twallan's stuff was updated and working so I slowly took my other mods and CC out of quarantine and added them back to find out what was doing it. Slow and really annoying process to add 1 or 2, load the game, wait... test... quit ... ugh ![]() BUT - it turned out to be the Simbot recharging station crashing my game or making it hang with tons of error trap messages. Everytime a sim in an inactive house was trying to sleep in it (its using a sarcophagus insides but the body shaper model outside) - the game would hang, reset, crash. The creator of that mod has never come back to update it sadly. It's a major pain in the butt, but I'd comb back through your mods and triple check to make sure their creators updated them. Could your poses mods be doing it? I can confirm twallan's mods are all updated and working correctly.

I just realized this thread was here >_> So hai guys! *waves* I've been working on my own Random Legacy Challenge since late June and have been having a blast! I'm so glad one of my friends turned me on to it.
I had been itching to get back to writing a story (and actually complete it this time), so when I made a sim and fell in love with playing her, I knew that I needed to have her be the founder of my Random Legacy Challenge, and thus The Journey Legacy blog was born ![]() I lucked out with her rolls though ![]() Anyways, I would love to know what you guys think! And now that I know that this thread exists, I will definitely be back to say hi ![]() <3 and harp strings, Kate |
Welcome, Kate! I love the look of your founder, and you definitely got an interesting roll forGen 1. As soon as I get a chance I will read your blog. =D
Maddie, I love the idea of making a website thing for the roller app. I don't have any real experience with ActiveX, and only one experience with Silverlight. With Silverlight, the the thing I was trying to do (For Fable 3, the Create a Villager thing used Silverlight) just didn't work on my Mac, but it did work fine on my PC. So I'd be more inclined to vote Active X for that reason. |

I chose I don't really care because honestly I don't. I know it's a little more work to download it with each update, but I'd much rather do that than not have the roller at all. Just my thoughts :P <3 and harp strings, Kate |
