What a horrible thing to happen. Condolences to her family, she will be missed immensely by this community.

I am so sorry to hear about Mootilda! Over the years we corresponded many times, and she was a member of Neighborly Sims in several of its phases. She was always helpful and very graciously and kindly shared her knowledge of the game and her modding skills. She will definitely be missed!

Such sad news. :-( Condolences to the family. Sims 2 would not be the same without her CC and mods. Mootilda's Case Study House #1 Redux is one of my favorite Sims 2 houses and will live on in my games in her memory.

A Sad Loss

I did not know Mootilda personally, however, she was one of my favorite creators and she made some great mods! I hope she is at peace and her family can find comfort knowing she helped and inspired a lot of people around the world.

Today I have very sad news to share with you all - one of our long term members, Mootilda, had been ill with cancer for some time. On Monday 1st September she was admitted to hospital and died peacefully on Tuesday morning. This announcement post gives us the opportunity to share our condolences with her family and to remember her for all the great mods she made for us, and more importantly, to remember her for her great character and her kindness in helping others.

Mootilda was a highly respected member of the community and could frequently be found helping out in modding discussions and help forums. She was an accomplished programmer who loved to share her knowledge with others as well as being a site helper here on MTS for a number of years, and contributed extensively to the site and the community.

Mootilda - we will miss you, rest in peace.

Think of her as a Pie and now that the outside of the Pie is gone The inside will shine and taste alot better so she will have a better life in Heaven. Thats what my dad tells me about mommy when she died 4 years ago and every time i think of her i just grab my little teddy and hold it as close as i can to my heart and then i just remember thats shes a Pie i cryed so much writing this cause iv never told anyone before

It's good that she died peacefully and painlessly. She was a big and integral part of the community and I will miss her for all her work and wonderful programs that have made the game so much better. Condolences to her friends and family, and rest in peace, Mootilda.

Oh my gosh, I am just so very sad, and in tears. I lost my father last week, and was here all weekend downloading as I escaped into the Sims, going right to the downloads like I always do, and having no idea Mootilda passed away too. My heartfelt condolences to her family and friends, this is so heartbreaking. *hugs* to all who are grieving.

I'm always going to remember her, as someone who was very sweet and helpful.

Poor thing, that is so sad. My condolences go out to her family. At least she is in a better place now.

TookaChan 8th Sep 2014 6:42 PM

This is very sad to hear. I hope her soul is in a happy, positive place. She really deserves it. She was absolutely wonderful, I loved everything she put out for us. She's no longer in pain, and that's the good thing, right?

PlasticFaith 8th Sep 2014 7:44 PM

At least now she doesn't have to deal with it anymore and is probably having a wonderful time on the other side. I didn't know her as well as some of you, but from what I've read, she sounds like a sweetie with plenty of her know-how to share with others. My regards to her family and friends at this time and everyone else that is affected by the news.

She made so many great helpful tools for my Sims 2 and loved her creation she did and helping for Sims 2. Can't believe she was battling this. She is now in a better place and bet helping them out too. God bless her. She will be missed.

I've been a long time member here and remember fondly how Mootilda was always very helpful and courteous with everyone. Her mods made my games more enjoyable as well as the custom content she shared with us.

I am very deeply saddened by her loss and will miss her presence here, but I know her spirit remains. Mootilda, you will always be cherished in our hearts and memories. My deepest condolences to her family and friends left behind.

I haven't logged in in years and logging in today I was greeted with such sad news. I always loved Mootilda's creations and personality. She will be sorely missed. Rest in peace love...

obsessisim 9th Sep 2014 12:20 AM

Like simylicious, I too had not logged in for a very long time. I have to wonder if there is an invisible bond within the Simming community that would prompt absent members to log in without knowing what drew them here today. I am very sad to hear of this loss and my heart goes out to her friends and loved ones. Delphy, thank you for honouring Mootilda by making this sad announcement so that we could virtually pay our respects. Hugs.
