"Really" she said, looking interested "A chef? I'm impressed. Most of the guys I know that are around our age think throwing a poptart in the toaster oven is a gourmet meal. That would be perfect".

Georgina then turned her attention to Essa. "So what about you" she asked.

“Well I mostly a culture person, but seeing as how that’s taken. I guess I can do politics, things that are affecting the world and social order. Things that people need to know.”

Omar pulled a notepad out of his bag and started scribbling down a few notes.

"That'd be great" said Georgina "I'm glad we have some people here this year that are interested in real issues, and not what Paris Hilton did in jail this morning"

Essa|Period 2|Paris...the City?
 

"Who?" Essa asked

"So will you give me an assignment, or should I pick?" he said.

OOC: I never had home ec class myself We called it "Travel and tourism" or some such junk. Really all we did was sit around and make cookies and cheat on our tests.


Georgina laughed at Essa's comment. "My thoughts exactly" she said, "Who really needs to hear about what a spoiled little heiress is complaining about in jail".

She then looked over at Omar. "Well, how about something basic first. You could do something about the Home Ec class, I heard they're planning a bakesale to start off the school year".

"Cool" he said. He flipped the notepad and slid it in his bag.

OOC: They're planning it, it's not on now There's only been one period of school so far.

As Omar walked out the door, Essa took the moment to ask Georgina. “Seeing as how I’m new here, I was wondering if you could show me around the school. Assuming you haven’t got anything to do.”

"I guess so" said Georgina "I'm not sure if there's even anyone else coming, so we may as well do something. I suppose anyone else will have to get their assignments from me later".

She walked over towards the door. "I want to see a rough draft of something from you guys in about 3 days allright". She then walked out the door with Omar.

"Cool" he said. He walked out towards the football bleachers.

Lisa was so nerveous. She had just started her first day here and she knew no one. She knew she had been placed in the nerds clique because she's been like that all her life.

"So within my first period I had already become a nerd," she thought.

At least she was sure of her answers from homeroom.

Lisa checked her map and decided to go see where the school paper meet was. She found t and heard people talking so she decided to go in.

"Hello. I'm Lisa. I'm new here."

Elsye set her books down under a large tree with a sigh of relief. It was nice to be away from the crowd for a moment. She sat down, leaning back against the trunk. Voices drifted to her from the football feild, she could see the back of the bleachers from her seat. She easily tuned them out and was soon in her own little world.

OOC: Yea no worries. The border wasn't being so nice .. i'll get working on that right now. I hope i have time to post it before i leave for a wedding [[to which i'll be gone all weekend]]

After walking around the halls for a while Lucas soon saw Stacie again. As he didn't find anything else to do he walked up to her. "Hey again," he said with a grin.

Omar stood up, and left. He went in the direction of the school again. There he saw Elsye. As he walked past he gave her a nice smile.

Elsye was surprised when the boy who was walking past smiled at her. Boys rarely ever noticed her, especially when there were girls like Stacie around. She smiled back and waved.
