You can by building walls around the pool after the sims jump in.

you can also make the pool extra deep, and sims will have a greater tendency to drown in it... (make another pool at a lower elevation, and then use CFE to drop the floor of your regular pool down to it's level!)

Today I discovered that you CAN public woohoo ...... in a way.

My rockstar sim was at the theatre performing for tips, and this guy sim that I've been trying to meet suddenly pops up and starts listening. Anyway, I decided I'd finally give that "Tour Theatre With.." option a try since I never use it and voila! During the tour, I clicked on the theatre again and it gave me the option to woohoo with, try for baby with, and make out with the guy I was touring with backstage. Unfortunately, the security guards apparently caught us and we were kicked out. What was even more shocking was that both sims walked out of the theatre completely naked and embarassed lol

I haven't tried this with other community lots yet... should be interesting to get kicked out of the art gallery for woohooing :D

When recoloring objects, like dining chairs, you can just click and drag the bar where the colored areas are on the change a style scene over the chair and 'drop' it and ta'dah, it's been copied.
(I really don't seem to be able to explain this in a way it would make any sense...)
All this time I've wasted hassling with sliders to make cupboards, counters and whatnot to match! Makes me feel kinda dumb, really.

I only know about this because it was the first thing I tried doing with that feature. I swore to myself that if I were unable to do that i'd never re-design anything!

I actually found that out today myself, and was going to post it. Came out with an interesting effect with rugs.

If you do the action of a sim regecting another sim in real life it actually works to fend off angry people...

... On another note, I play to much Sims.

That Mr. Alto is extremely faithful to his wife. Even at full relationship level with another woman, with great mood and lower relationship with his wife, he still refused every romantic interaction.

Or maybe he's unflirty?

Today I discovered that if you change active households while your previous Sim is practicing a skill (painting, athletic, music...) and return to them days later, they're still practicing and their skill level has gone up big time.

It's happened to me plenty of times. Once with the writing skill, another with the athletic skill, and the logic & music skills as well.

Dunno if anyone else has experienced this : D I find it kinda quirky that they're still hanging around and haven't moved in forever, but it's fun for when I'm too lazy too wait around for skill level ups~ hah.

You can stock your pond with all the types of fish. O.o I know most of you knew that but I didn't!

The male carrier is a perv. He was watching my sim eat breakfast in her bathrobe through her window!

coltraz 25th Jul 2009 7:45 AM

My Sim got the autonomous want to "shut off light" - so she went into the room with the light on and clapped her hands to shut it off. Weird.

I noticed in the intro movie, that the mom in the blue kitchen (the one with the hubby flipping pancakes) is definately preggo, but when it gets to the part of the beach, the old lady is talking to her pretty flat tummy before it switches and zooms in on her mysteriously appearing bumpage.

Is the pancake flipping husband downloadable does anyone know? I really want him for my game. Oh, and I also noticed the mysterious bumpage, it was a wtf moment, lol.

I found it to be extrememly creepy when trying to capture pictures when the game is paused, and my sims continue to move their heads for a split second.

Urissa 25th Jul 2009 3:46 PM

I discovered that my sim keeps waking up at exactly 10am for no reason! GRRR

I just saw my Sim do that, with the action in her queue. I was like WTH? I didn't know EA could save the world by putting green ideas into each Sims. :/

chyrun 25th Jul 2009 5:16 PM

I discovered that sims can cut out coupons from the newspaper and use them. My sim got a spa pedicure coupon.

I wouldn't say `cheap`... you get more than $800/week from the cheapest property when you're full owner. Not like that won't buy ya $40 meals.

That my sim's mother was able to slap her teen child. She had the evil trait though and they were enemies.

vivalakevin 26th Jul 2009 6:19 PM

I found out that Gobias Koffi's name is Go Buy Us Coffee.

I found out yesterday that you can serve pureed versions of the food you cook to toddlers. My toddler Scarlett had pureed apple pancakes. That sound pretty disgusting now.

I've had this pop up when clicking on the high chair, but they are always blurred out, even when I have the puree machine. I wonder what would happen if you fed a vegetarian toddler pureed stuffed turkey--if that option was even available at the time? Would he get sickly like adults because it wasn't soy? Ohh...that gives me so many ideas...

I discovered today, that I can't make homeless sims pregnant. Or rather, I discovered the existence of homeless sims. The game said her house was full, so I decided "meh, then I'll have her move in", and when I moved her in, I could see that she had no family and no house o.O
