juhhmi - :0 Wow. I love your medieval castle!
I've been building a medieval-style cult village and it's finally finished! (though I still need to add some more foliage, etc) It was quite hard to take screenshots of because of how big it is, so please excuse the less-than-lovely pictures. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The village is home to a group of people that form the Aeolian Cult. It is a matriarcal society that lives seperately from the rest of the world. Although they live in modern times, the people of the cult live as if it were still the medieval ages; no electricity, running water or modern transportation. No one is allowed in or out, there is a huge wall surrounding the entire village, and the prison guards make sure than anyone who rebels is punished. the Aeolians grow their own food and it is stored in a communal cellar. Eating is communal too, and no one is allowed to take food into their homes. Because the village is in the desert, food is scarce and has to be properly controlled. The leader of the cult is always a woman, and is called the 'Diadem'. She is above the law and whatever she says goes. Women in general also have more rights than men. There is a lot more about the cult's religion, lifestyle and occupations, which I've put onto a Word document, but I really don't feel like writing it all down here. Plus it would probably get too boring to read. ![]() |
Thank you, ella_in_wonderland! You've also created a very interesting cult with a lot of work, and the village looks fantastic!

Thanks, juhhmi!
It looks like it's just you and me spamming this thread ![]() Some grungy apartments ![]() |
Yes, it seems to be so!
![]() ![]() Hmm... I started to wonder where have all the others gone? |

Sure! Do you mind if I send it to you via PM? I don't want to overcrowd a picture thread with all that writing! :D juhhmi - I love your cathedral! |

Of course, that's fine :-) Or it is possible to attach a Word file to a post if you compress it in to a rar or zip file, then other people could read it too if they were interested. Either is fine by me! :-) |

Thank you! I surprised myself by building it during just one day! ![]() Included a shot from cathedral interior. Edit: New Town Hall ![]() |

Been a while since I've posted anything so here are a couple shots from my financial district.
This is a shot of my SimCity Savings & Loan bank with some upscale stores in the distance. ![]() This is a closer shot of those upscale stores. The entire complex is called "The Promenade." ![]() |
SiliconAI, the buildings look very nice and are realistic for a financial area!

Thanks, Juhmi, I appreciate the compliment, but my stuff can't compare to your EPIC creations! In answer to your question, yes, the two building in the distance are a couple of insanely expensive apartment highrises.
The Winchester which I think I may have posted an image of on this site once before.. ![]() And the Brighton. ![]() The windows of the bank are custom content. I can't for the life of me remember where I got them from or I would tell you because I know they would work great for your style of architecture. Here are a couple of better shots of the bank, one exterior and one interior so you can get a better idea of how the windows set the style perfectly. ![]() ![]() |
Those are from the La Fenetre addon set from here I believe, I use them all the time for georgian style houses.

Thank you very much, SiliconAI!

I changed up the robot factory to include an attic safe house, and made the chimneys taller.
![]() It now also has two bedrooms, a kitchen/dining room and bathroom. The old robot machines are also still there. I use it as a post-apocalypse themed house. |
ella_in_wonderland: I love your robot factory! It gives me ideas for buildings in my own game.

ella_in_wonderland: your Aeolin cult lot has impressed me a lot, it looks really challenging to play in there!
SiliconAI: I really loved your bank and nearby stores! It feels very urban and way better than anything from Bridgeport! MsScribble: Beautiful starter there! ella_in_wonderland: Your robot factory looks awesome and very detailed, congratulations! I've been working in my university's library today, and I think it's looking really nice ![]() ![]() ![]() The cafeteria: ![]() |
My first house since reacquiring TS2 recently.
![]() ![]() This is a remake of one I made years ago, back in the Maxis Exchange days. It's a small, one-bedroom. What makes it somewhat unique is it's circular shape. I'll be making more using this concept. ![]() ![]() |

MsScribble, the house looks realistic and quite cosy!
ella_in_wonderland, the factory continues the great grunge style from your previous house and is nicely detailed as lipe2k already mentioned! edit: The vacation house has a nice angled deck! lipe2k, amazing modern library; I really like the colour variation of the windows and the two-story open sections! ScaryRob, very nice modern houses! For some reason, the circular house reminds me of the Sims 1 octagonal house... |
