"Oh, yes, thank you. Actually, I am from the school paper and I wanted to write something about the club ... So if you could just show me where the room is now and let me watch the next rehersal, that would be great!" she replied.
"Uhm, ok, follow me." Jamison said and showed her the way.
"Thanks a lot, so when is the next rehersal and what is the name of the play you are going to do?" Sophia asked and took out her notepad.

Omar sat under the same tree as he sat at earlier when he met Elsye. And he struck out with Elsye under that same tree. All in the space of one period.

Jamison gave Sophia a weird look. "Uhm well we're in second period so clubs haven't started yet!" he told her and she sighed. "Oh yeah I'm sorry, I'm just so ambitious!" "Well it's okay" he said with a smiled. "I will let you know as soon as I know, so you can be the first to write about!".

Sophia seemed to be okay with it and Jamison was about to get hungry again. "Well I'm starting to get hungry again and we still have some time till the next period starts so wanna go to the cafeteria? We could hang out and relax there" he asked and waited for Sophia to answer.

"Oh, yes, great idea!" Sophia said, blushing. "Wow, a good looking boy just asked me to go to the cafeteria with him ... Today's my lucky day!" she thought.
They reached the cafeteria and Sophia ordered a brownie and a Café Latte for her, Jamison ordered something for him as well.
They took a seat at a small table.
Sophia took a sip from her coffee and a piece of her brownie. "So howf's four fummer been?" she asked him with a full mouth.

Jamison took a sip of his coffee and sighed. "My summer was a disaster! My parents are divorced for a few years now and I visited my mom who lives in California" he answered and took another sip. "California sounds nice!" Sophia said and he nodded. "Yeah it is but my 3 year old stepsister and her dad are not that nice..." "Oh so they don't like you?" "Nope..." he answered with a sad voice. "But well I'm happy that I could see my mom but I was even more happy as I came back home to live with Dad and Ty!" "Ty?" Sophia asked and he smiled. "Tyler, my older brother... but well enough of me! How was your summer?" he asked and Sophia told him everything about it. Even though she was a nerdy type of girl it sounded pretty intresting!

They were chatting for a quiet long time as Jamison suddenly saw his friend Alex walking out of the cafeteria. "Well uhm I have to tell my friend something important so see you later okay?" he asked and got up. "Yeah sure see you later!" she said with a smile and he ran after his friend.

Stacie
 

Stacie entered the gym with Lexa for cheerleading practice and sat down on the polished wooden floor.

"Where is everyone?" she breathed, reclining backwards so she was lying flat on her back. She tilted her head upwards and addressed Albie who had just joined them
"I can't help it if I'm popular," she joked, smiling to show she was only kidding and then dived on his ankles. A split second later he was rolling on the floor next to her.
"Gotcha!" she shrieked, and began a laughing fit.

After a moment she pulled out her cell phone and typed a quick text.

She scrolled down her contact list, her fingers hesitating on whose name to chose before she clicked and the text sent...to Lucas.

Lucas
 

Lucas phone started vibrating. He pulled it out and checked. One new message. He clicked to read it.

He started typing a reply to her.

Sure, be there in a minute/Lucas

He clicked send and the message went away. He put away the phone and started to go towards the gym. It would take about three minutes from where he currently was. Soon he walked in through the doors to the gym and looked around. Not many there.

Stacie's pink rhinestone covered cell vibrated with a message from Lucas. She smiled and slipped the phone back into her pocket and relaxed her head back down onto the floor. After a few minutes chatting with Albie and Lexa she heard the gym double doors open behind her and she looked up; hoping it would be who she thought it was. A naughty smile appeared on her face as she lay back down flat again and waited for Lucas to come to her.

"Hi sexy," she said as he neared her, "I was missing you already!"

After leaving him standing for a moment she held out her hands for him to help her up and she got back onto her feet. Without letting go of his hands she leaned towards him and waited; just to see what he'd do.

Lucas
 

Lucas walked up to her and looked down at her. "You're just saying that," he said refering to the latter comment. He tilted his head to the side a bit as she stood up. He gave a short glance at Albie and Alexa before looking back at Stacie as she leaned towards him.

He wondered where this were leading. He was not the kind of guy to have a funcional relationship. It never lasted.

"So, what's up?" he asked looking straight into her eyes. For now he didn't make any other moves.

Period 2|From Books to Balls
 

It didn’t take long for Essa to check up on his friends. School just started and he was missing all the fun. He spent most of the time drawing. The doodle he began in first period developed into a sketch, a group shot, of his classmates.

I’ll finish this later. He thought as he packed up his things and shoved them neatly into his bag. I’ll take another look around the school. This place better be great. I think I’ll head to the gym first.

He left the library, waving at the Liberian as he passed outside and into the empty hallways.

It felt good letting go like that; Lila was typically one of those kids who would gladly blend into the scenery unless someone approached them, unfortunately accustomed to the abuses of the more popular students. She had learned how to bottle up a great deal, how to mask her emotions in front of others. But with that kid? She just couldn't control herself--a true rarity. He got to her, with that little grin of his. Lila had to let loose or she was certain her head would have exploded.

"Uhmmm... Hey, wait."

Lila paused, standing in the middle of the hallway with her back to the boy she had only moments ago been screaming at. She heard footsteps behind her and her brow furrowed. Why was he coming after her? He looked tough. Did he want to hit her? She drew in a breath and turned to face him, brows raised questioningly.

He stood before her and a silence covered the air between them momentarily. "Please don't hit me, please don't hit me," she prayed silently, however, her exterior exuded a fierce confidence. Thank god for acting! She knew drama club would come in handy.

"Sorry...?" he finally stated, somewhat unsteadily.

"Well," she said as her eyes widened slightly, somewhat taken aback by his apology. "That was...unexpected." Lila nodded and crossed her arms, somewhat relieved that no fist had come careening towards her face. "You said it like your tongue was tripping over a word in a foreign language. I take it you don't apologize often?" She tilted her head slightly to the side, looking him up and down. The stance, the clothes--this was a kid who had gotten in his share of battles: verbal and otherwise.

"I'm surprised you didn't pummel me after that." She grinned, a small chuckle gliding through her lips. "I guess I should consider myself lucky," she fixed her stare directly into his eyes, feeling oddly self-confident for the time being. With that, she smiled brightly and turned away from him, heading toward the wall of lockers at the end of the hall. She called over her shoulder and waved as she walked, "Thanks."

After showing Essa around, Georgina had headed back to her office to wait out the rest of the period. She was actually glad the others had cleared out of the office, because she had time to get started on her first editorial letter of the year.

Eventually she realized it was going to be next period soon, so she saved her work and turned the computer off. She then grabbed her bag and headed out the door, locking it behind her.

After School Activity: School Paper
Character Description: April is a senior who had to repeat sophomore year (which is why she's 18). She works at a movie theater, smokes cigarettes and drives a Volkswagon Beetle. She thinks all that makes her cool... but it doesn't. April is extremely awkward in social situations. She always seems apathetic and insincere, which most people find off-putting. The only reason she joined the school paper is because she figured it would be the easiest to blow off. Plus, it gives her something to tell her dad when he asks where she's been all day.

((Yep. I mostly put her under Nerd because she's too lazy to be a Jock or an Achiever. I'm gonna wait to see if I'm actually allowed to have an RP character like that before I make any RP posts.))

"Well," the girl said. "That was...unexpected."
She nodded and crossed her arms, only to continue:
"You said it like your tongue was tripping over a word in a foreign language. I take it you don't apologize often?"

Bull's-eye. There was no denying that. The only apologies that J.D. uttered these days were usually heavily sprinkled with sarcasm and irony, making them anything but sincere. And the fact that she was right left him with little to say. Again. He wouldn't deny her comment, but there was no way in hell he'd admit to it either.

"I'm surprised you didn't pummel me after that."
Yet again she spoke, semi-rescuing him from being so obviously tounge-tied, but ending up provoking him in the process. Even more so when she grinned and added:
"I guess I should consider myself lucky."

"Hey!" he exclaimed as she turned away, a sharp, almost offended tone in his voice.
It was bad enough that the fact that she was right made him feel exposed and strangely inferior, but adding insult... That was more than he was prepared to take. His ego had been somewhat bruised, and that left him more irritable than usual.
"Don't push it!" he hissed, not having much except threats of violence to resort to.
Eloquence had never been a talent of his. Words had never been his allies.

Lisa noticed she was in the wrong room before. She finally came to the right room but noticed it was locked. She knocked a few times hoping at least someone was left in there.

"Hello. Is anyone in there?"

After waiting for five minutes she knew no one was there. She checked her watch and decided to run off to next period.

Her locker was nearby, so Lila continued walking until she reached it. Tossing her bag down at her feet she deftly entered the combinating in three easy rotations and opened her locker. Rummaging through her various books she glanced up when she heard the boy's voice again.

"Hey!"

There he was again. His voice shot out with a coarse, defensive tone. Despite his harsh exterior, she was already feeling more comfortable around him. Because she had survived her first ten minutes with him, she felt the likelihood of him beating her up had been greatly lessened. She felt far less threatened, and as a result, more at ease.

"Don't push it!"

Lila blinked several times, eyes somewhat wider with surprise. She gazed at him for a few moments, allowing a short silence to settle before a soft giggle broke through it.

"Or what?" She paused, looking at him with an expression of the utmost genuine interest. She shook her head and smiled. "Sorry. Didn't realize I was," she lowered her gaze from him and began flipping through her book, a small grin in place. "I was being honest. You look like you could have easily hit me the same way you hit your locker, and I wasn't exactly encouraging you to remain calm." She shrugged and snapped the book closed, placing it back in it's proper place in the locker. "I appreciate the fact that you didn't, because I personally don't like having my face mauled this early in the morning." Lila turned back to face him with an expression of odd calm in his presence.

.:Naomi's phone started to ring...after the third ring she answered to an anomous voice on the other end. She had no clue to whom it was, she only knew that it was a male. It didn't seem as if he was going to reveal his voice, he only said that he thought she was hot and wanted to hook up sometime. She knew what me meant by "Hooking up". At the moment she currently didn't care whom she hooked up with, her life was reaching rock bottom and nothing could save her from herself. She told the guy to meet her after school in the Baseball Field. She then pulled a bottle of pills from her purse and took them, the description on the bottle read "Take twice daily for allergies." So badly she wanted to take something to end her life, but she couldn't she had her friends and baby to live for. Just then she stepped into the hall and bumped into somebody knocking them down instantly....it was one of those losers. She didn't really care who it was or what she had just done she only had to say one thing to them before walking off:.

"Next time watch where your going, or there'll be a bigger mess of your stuff!" She looked down and the girl she knocked over was crying.

Elsye
 

Elsye made her way through the hallway, her mind lost in thought. Someone crashed into her, knocking her off balance. Elsye struggle to regain her balance but fell to the ground, landing on her ankle hard.

"Next time watch where your going, or there'll be a bigger mess of your stuff!" the girl (Naomi) yelled at her.

A tear slid down Elsye's face. She stared after the girl in shock. 'Maybe I should have been paying more attention.' she thought to herself as she struggled back to her feet, try to reclaim her dignity. Her ankle throbbed with each step she took.

((PixieDust Fairy, I hope you don't mind me makeing "the girl" from your post into Elsye. I was out of ideas for what she could being doing until the next round started until I read your post. ))

"Or what?" the girl said, with what to J.D. sounded like defiance. And she'd even giggled .
Though the words that followed seemed honest and like she wasn't out to make fun of him (even if they were a bit on the acid side), he couldn't get past that giggle.

Realizing his stunned silence had given her the notion that he wasn't as menacing as he appeared to be, J.D. glared at her, his eyes narrowing slightly once again. Without saying a word he rapidly approached her, not stopping until he had forced her to back up against the lockers. His jaw tight, and his eyes piercing hers as he slammed his hand against the locker right beside her head, only to lean in closer, mere inches between his face and hers.
"I might've decided against it ten seconds ago", he snarled, after watching her eyes for a moment or two. "But things change."

The locker was cold against her fingertips. Lila hadn't realized that she had been moving backwards to get away from the approaching figure of the boy, but she suddenly felt her shoulder blades connect with the cold metal behind her. Wincing slightly, she looked up in time to see the boy's hand fly past her. He had moved in so close to her face that there were only a few inches seperating her eyes from his; his eyes that were remarkably intense, his expression unwavering. The confidence she had felt moments ago dissipated and left her a fragile girl pinned to a locker.

"I might've decided against it ten seconds ago, but things change."

Lila's breathing was soft, regulated so that he wouldn't notice any change that would indicate fear. She knew nothing about this boy. She had no idea if he really would strike a girl. From the little she had seen of him, he had been able to control himself.

"You want to hit me? Fine." She gazed into his eyes for a moment, searching them for some minute indication. Inhaling deeply and sighing, she let her emerald eyes close. It was up to luck now that she wouldn't be murdered standing right next to her locker. "Change your mind then," she said quietly, waiting and bracing herself against the lockers. "Just make it as quick and painless as possible, alright?" She didn't know if she really meant any of the things she was saying; she didn't want him to hit her. She didn't know where her self-assurance was stemming from. But the words spilled from her lips without her consent, and all she knew was she was standing there with her eyes closed, waiting for a stranger to hit her. Ah, high school--it made normally sane people insane.
