Hi everyone, good to see Sky and Nocriel working so hard as always <3 Much respect to you both for being so consistent.

I'm working on Sparrows updates again finally, my writing style of 'write what happens in the game' takes a real nose dive it turns out when I have to play around glitches/ resets and my proclivity to do whatever I feel like with my sims 'just to see what happens', so we should have a bit of of a bumpy ride, but it should make for an entertaining story at least. If a bit nonsensical. In laymen's terms; I'll work hard to make people not behave out of character, even though my game has the dumb more often these days.

Owl, It's good to see anything from you at all as your writing style is great and can elevate any Sim. Do feel free to restart the bees over again and just for fun flip everybody's genders, so that we can feel like we're watching a relaunch, however.

Hello everyone! Long time no see. I don't think I can fully express how happy I've felt reading Sims 3 Random Legacy blogs again. It's kind of been like meeting an old friend after a long time apart. I guess it's something like nostalgia, but also refreshing.

Life has been busy lately. I haven't had as much time to play Sims as I used to. Still, I've been saving up some screenshots of my latest legacy, so I thought I'd hop on the bandwagon and start posting again.

My old laptop was over 6 years old, and finally died sometime last year. (I was playing Sims on a laptop this whole time, can you believe it?) I think it was the battery. Unfortunately, I didn't have any backup of my Sims files, so the Wilder-Moon legacy (and my extensive backlog of screenshots) are gone until I maybe find a way to retrieve them.

On the bright side, I used this opportunity to finally get a desktop setup. The game runs so much nicer now. Less than 5 minutes to load? Anything less than 20?? A miracle! This is the future!!

Anyway, I've written a prologue and the first chapter. The prologue kind of explains how this is (very very loosely) connected to my previous stories. Please prep your mind for sci-fi.

Re: blogger. I haven't had that issue yet. Have you tried a different blog theme? It shouldn't matter which pre-set you're building off of, but I only mention it just in case changing it fixes the error.

Hi, Sorry for the late update, was just getting all my content transferred to my new blog. Chapter 4.3

Just got my game back after far too long and have the urge to try this challenge again. I had a quick question, though. I rolled the Joker and am not sure if that means I can reroll one income source (for one of my starting sims) or if I choose to reroll income I have to reroll for everyone.

The Joker allows you to re-roll any one category (not the entire roll). You can use it at any point in the challenge.

So yes, if you don't like your result for income, you can re-roll it one time and hope for something better. The other rolls (family structure, etc) will remain intact.

A few months ago I started a BACC where each house is in charge of a different challenge. The second family to move in town will be doing the random legacy. If anyone is interested in reading this legacy here is the 1st chapter.

Hi folks, I hope this thread isn't too dead for me to ask a question. I was wanting to know if a plantsim baby would count as a biological or adopted child for the purposes of Mixed Couple?

I would consider it an adoption, since the roll considers clones that way. Of course this is just my opinion, since I consider plantsims to be closer to clones than biological children.

Hopping in for the first time in years (lol) but sadly not to update any of my blogs. I recently completed 10 generations of an RLC family and wanted to share! Only the second time ever after all these years haha.

I decided to carry them over into a new RLC and changed one major thing... I changed the toddler, child, and teen stages to match ageing irl. The infant stage is 2 days, toddler 4 days, child 7, and teen 5. I thought it would be super unbalanced, but it has actually been a lot of fun. It does mean that perfect children is impossible rules as written, but I haven't rolled it yet haha. The only thing I'm disliking is that it makes it hard for teens to get an A in school.

Hope everyone's still doing well and having fun with the sims I still read old RLC blogs and new ones that get posted here.

Hi guys! It's been literally four years, but I'm back (well, sort of). I was expecting that everyone who used to post in here would be gone, but even if it's not as active anymore, I still see some familiar faces (or usernames, anyway).

For anyone who doesn't remember me (probably most of you, I updated for like a year and then vanished), I'm Rohan, and I used to update the Doe Random Legacy! Then I started college and immediately stopped having time to even play Sims for fun, let alone update an increasingly elaborate and plot-heavy story blog. But that said, I've felt bad about abandoning my legacy for all these years, and I got my degree this spring and now I have a real grown-up job and enough time and energy to actually have hobbies, so I've been thinking about picking it back up.

The problem is, I've switched computers over the course of those four years, I don't play Sims 3 very much anymore, and honestly Sims 3 barely runs on my computer and trying to get five more generations out of it sounds like a nightmare. So I've decided (tentatively) to move my legacy over to Sims 4, which is much easier for me to run. I recreated my major characters, I've reworked the plot of the rest of this generation, I rerolled for remaining generations, and I think I really want to make it happen. I thought I'd let this thread know in case anyone still here remembers my legacy and wants to follow me into the world of Sims 4, but I'm also planning on posting on the Sims 4 RLC thread once I actually have the legacy up and running.

If anyone has any thoughts, I'd love to hear them! It's been forever since I posted on here (I barely remembered my login info) and I think? my signature has my legacy website in it, but in case it doesn't and any new people want to get caught up before I start posting again, here it is:

Juliet starts off living with Rosaline, and Romeo lives alone. Apparently, Romeo and Juliet's traits are so compatible that if they meet each other on the street one time they are instant romantic interests (even a friendly text will do this lol). Here are their traits;
Juliet Capulet:
Unlucky, Night Owl, Dramatic, Hopeless Romantic, Heavy Sleeper [Second Career, Job Hopper{Business, Criminal, Bot Builder, Sports Agent, Farmer, Magician, Military, Lifeguard, Video Game Designer, Lifeguard}]

Rosaline Capulet: Unflirty, Good, Gatherer, Proper, Born Saleswoman [Tertiary Career, Resort Owner]

Romeo Montague: Brave, Great Kisser, Dramatic, Night Owl, Hopeless Romantic [First Career; Freelance Photographer]

I rolled the shake up with help, so the plan is that Juliet will die and Romeo will move on with someone new, all while Rosaline couldn't care less, but she'll you know, help out on occasion...?

I played Juliet a bit first but she quickly decided to become a superstar actor and her hours never allowed her to run into many people in the town, I'm going to start over from Romeo's house and go from there. So it should be interesting and I'm sure some of the traits are wrong. I could've made Rosaline a snob or something, but my view of her is that she is too busy to pursue romance at all and is off helping the church or the like as Romeo has such high opinions of her goodness- if I played just her she would probably go off on world adventures and donate all her findings to some local cathedral or sponsor an orphanage).

If anyone wants these three sims I may stick them up on the exchange (I made them myself, but the girls have some Rococo dresses that need to be acquired as well, although any old timey-nonsense will likely do as well).

I almost forgot to mention- as Juliet/ Rosaline are cousins, I made one a clone of the other and adjusted the look so they are similar, yet different (Juliet has more narrow eyes, higher cheekbones etc). When I did this I had the sound down on my pc so it turned out that both of their voices were actually super deep and I never caught that, but since they're so pretty I find it too amusing to change it.


@TheRealmOfRohan I would be happy to read a Sims 4 RLC here, I've never played that game so it would be super interesting to me. I also post in a TS2 challenge thread as the sole TS3 player here at MTS and people have been really great about it in general. It's just nice to all play the same challenge.
