Honestly I think we've all been pretty good at policing ourselves when it comes to the occult.
My gen 2 were vampires (who lived until gen 8 or so). I had their daughter, the heir become a human to stay with her husband and then my gen 2 moved out because the wife (who married into the family) inherited another home from her uncle. Obviously there WAS no inheritance, but its easy to make excuses up if you want them to leave. My gen 4 heir who was immortal thanks to the (now gone) Death Eater goal was squished to death by a meteor when the next heir took over. My Gen 10 help was a vampire, but I had her leave the next heir in someone else's care and go off to fight a war in Bridgeport. Her baby was human thanks to magic. |

Update!
5.4 - Be Alive http://sarisimsrandomlegacy.blogspo...4-be-alive.html Basically these guys are gorgeous and still not having more babies. |
Cali- ooh! I like that idea, and since I made Tara drink a Witches Brew Elixir, so she's a witch now instead of a fairy, she can learn Love Charm, and casted it both on her and another male, and the same with Titania and another male (She can go live with him when she gets pregnant, provided he's not a townie). The Love Charm is allowed correct? And the best friend elixirs?
And since I will (Hopefully) remember where Titania lives, all Tara's son or daughter will need to do is go visit them. (However this is gonna be a problem, in Sims 2 going out of the hood after saving while a sim is in labor, it's easy and not very slow to do, Sims 3 is so I don't want to keep doing that until both of them spawns a baby of the opposite sex to each other. Or! I can force Titania to drink that Triplet/Quadplautes drink, surely one of them will be the opposite sex). And I swear if Titania and the would be boyfriend gives it a stupid name >.>, there's gonna be hell to pay. I think with the supe part, I will just make Titania move and do that plan, Tara's now a witch so she won't be living forever either (legacy or not, it can get boring unless you are trying to make them learn everything in the entire Sim world, did that with a vampire in another hood).. And if a witch would.. say accidentally use a fire spell with Titania sometime after the birth of her children (And it is secure the father won't die), or say eat a magic bean or have a mummy's curse.. Then well.. it might solve the problem:P |
I've been reading in another thread that the multiples drink isn't really working for people. But if you have the LTH points to but fertlity treatment for Titania, you'd have a good chance of multiples. If you have her in your house during any part of the pregnancy, having her watch children's TV or listen to the kids radio station will also increase the chance of twins.
We haven't banned any elixirs that I know of, so feel free to use them. And good luck! I hope it works out so you can keep Titania's genes in the family. |
Per the supernaturals in the family conversation, if I ever rolled multi-cultural, then I would breed with a supernatural. (I don't have World Adventures, so that basically limits it.) I would probably want a werewolf, though. I'm pretty sure they age like other Sims (like, they don't have extended lifespans) and they don't have too many special abilities, other than hunting for gems at night, but of course if I don't roll gem collector then they can't do that. Is a werewolf a pretty safe bet for a Supernatural Sim in the family should it come to that?
|
Cali- Really? I actually didn't know those increased her chances. Although since she won't really able to have more children while living there, she will need to move, aleast I can get her pregnant and then make her leave. I never tried that Elixir yet (Too daunting lol, since I got Supernatural the only non full, non planning to have a child until later sim I played was well, this legacy XD), since she still has 72 days (And Tara's a YA, I kinda want to wait until she's an adult, since Cyrus is still an adult) she doesn't need a baby straight away, just when Tara has one XD. And they better give me the right children.
miss- I would say Werewolves and Witches are safe bets since they have no immortality, ghosts (Oddly enough) don't have it either, but the rules suggests not to play them unless you are trying for a ghost baby. I won't really play a ghost, they are dead, they should live forever. Don't know anything about genies since I do not have Showtime. |
Oh, the ghost rule is from pre-SN, banning the resurrection of ghosts to be added as playables to your house, unless your intention was to make them spouse/partner. But you can totally have ghosts in your families now with SN making them regular Sims.
I haven't played with any supe long enough to know wht advantages they have. But you can use whatever ones appeal to you and if you don't want to keep the long-lived ones around, have them move out, or move your next heir out. And, you can use elixirs to cure your supes after the multi-cultural generation is over if you don't want to have supes through the whole legacy. About gem collecting, just to be clear, you can collect whatever you want, you just can't sell any of unless you have that career. So, feel free to decorate your house in gems if you want, lol. |
Ah, I didn't realize that, might have not been updated or I skimmed that part. And doh! Another rule broken, that's how Jessica and Kate stayed alive, by collecting gems, using the gem cutter machine and selling them (Although they have not gotten rich by it, mostly from spending it on Elixirs and stuff, but I stopped doing it so much by the time Tara was a child, forgot about it mostly haha).. Oh well, some rules are meant to be broken XD.
|
Don't worry about, a lot of people end up breaking a few rules by accident. With so many rules, they don't all sink in right away.
|
Werewolves do have a longer life span. I'm not sure exactly how much longer, but it is longer.
![]() |
How would I make my Anders sassy though??
Werewolves *apparently* live half a life span longer... But I was doing some maths (yes, nerd... Hello) and it only seems to add on to the adult life stage... Or that's what my maths says. Blame the maths. |

|
Reading your legacy atm Cali, or trying to if it lets me get to the first chapter.
I was starting to think maybe I should make my legacy more of a story? With Cyrus's grief over his lost wife, and Titania's own grief (Which will be mentioned in Chapter 3) I sort of have a story going on, I won't all the time but I can at times, although I don't want to take so many pictures, because my internet takes a bit to upload them to the blog, and more pictures take even longer. But I have been known to make alright stories (I had one or two in the Sims Stories section, unfinished but people seem to like it). Do you think it's too late for it to become a story? But sometimes just be an update, and others to be a story? I just hope people are actually reading it, (I know I say this a lot, but it just I like to know people are reading or interested in it). |

I'm pretty sure if I had a vampire in the family, I'd be crossing my eyes going crazy, just praying a meteor hits him after Day 56 of young adulthood or something. |
It's never too late to start a story. And it's fine if you just want to do a story for certain parts of their lives annd the rest of the time just tell what's been happening without the story style of narration.
And, yay, teal! Anders and Ser Pounce-a-lot is like my favorite thing ever in Dragon Age. |
I think I might just do that then
![]() I edited my post up there, I was just saying I hope people are reading, don't want it to be a waste of time if anyone's not interested, and if I know people like it, then more will most likely come ![]() Also Cali, your blog is kinda confusing, I went back to Chapter one and had to scroll down to it, and then scroll back up just to get to chapter 2:P |

I'm a little behind in my reading, Willow's Tara, but I am interested in reading your blog.
I'm not having the same problem you are with my blog...all blogs go in reverse order if you start on the main page, which has the current chapter on top. But if you go to the first chapter from the archive list in the sidebar, it should only display one chapter at a time... |
Can you really set mutations to zero somewhere?
I've used MC for years, but some options I still seem unable to find. xD |
Cali- Thanks
![]() Also weird, I didn't see the archive on the side, I will have to check (I managed to get back by pressing Older Posts, but I only got to Chapter 4 and then pressing Newer Posts, went to Chapter 11, blogspot must have updated the last time I used it, I swear it's more confusing now. I see it now, the page was stretched so I didn't notice the bar and the archive XD |
Another rules thingie: I'm not finding anything in the rules or the thread to confirm or deny this, but it's occurred to me that "Hands Off" probably means that Sims should shop at the grocery store in lieu of buying from the fridge? Do others concur or am I overthinking this too much? Or has it always been that way and I just didn't get the memo?
|
Hey guys. Been around here before, finally have time to try this again! Quick question: for the idle career goal does it apply to the founder/heir only or any adult sims that roll? I rolled single parent with help.
EDIT: If it applies to both, how does that apply to a Profession like Ghost Hunting? My helper rolled that. |
I thought there was, maybe I'm wrong? I'll check when I get my sims working. I know I played around with MC a lot, so maybe I'm just mixing something up? *shrugs* Just change it when you get it, I've done that many times XD
My graphics card isn't right for the sims, I thought it was and enjoyed a month or two of sims...and then it lags then freezes (sometimes crash, depending on the mood) within five minutes of playing. So I CAN play...for five minutes XD I've been going crazy, I was tired of sims so the break was welcome at first. But it didn't last, and NOW I'M GOING CRAZY XD And I believe that you can still buy from the fridge, as I think the only time you weren't able to buy from the fridge was from the Living Green rule and the Homemade rule. But I could be wrong? It's more about not dragging stuff around as much, not about the price. |
Re: hands off. You can read the rule that way if you want to. I don't think that's necessarily part of it, though. The selling your goods at consignment shops thing is to prevent you from using your mouse to drag and sell it from the sims' inventory.
Re: idle career. The rule doesn't specifically say the spouse has to go by the rule, so I'd say just the heir, unless you WANT to do both. |
Nuts: With Twallans story progression Extra I believe it is (From town hall/computer/sim)
Nraas<Story Progression<General Options<Pregnancy, then there are several options for genetics blending. The first is Advanced Genetics. If it is set to true it opens new blending/mutation option chances. I have my values all set pretty low trying to not get too much of the yucky mutation hair/skin. However, it still happens which is why I will never ever ever get rid of MC. Long live MC! I think I'm going to give this challenge a shot. As soon as I finish working on another story line I have going with my Nothing is Free challenge. Maybe I'll combine them... hmmm... |

YES, I was right! (Sorry XD *blushes*) Thanks Shakespeare, I was feeling like I was imagining it XD I guess I mixed up it being low and it being gone though :/
|
Completely alright Cinder. (have you read the book by the same name? Interesting...) I have enough of Twallans modules to usually have to troll through all the options of each one to change the one thing I'm looking for. I just happened to need to use that particular value earlier as I had far too many simmies popping up with Hair that was completely, solidly, brown. No highlights. No tips. No roots. Awful.
|
I can't seem to find it.
![]() |
I haven't actually used the roll system yet, but I think for Tara I might just, since I don't exactly have her entire life worked out. Jessica wasn't hard, and Kate married her imaginary friend, Cyrus found the fairy I wanted him to marry, but with Tara she's a YA, and while she had a boyfriend in high school, I don't know if I want her to end up with him, so I am gonna try the rolls and see what happens (Just a few. Tara's still a witch and one of her children may marry Titania or one of her own children, which will be when Titania falls pregnant and moves out after Tara does the same)
|
Hmmmm... I could have the location and direction wrong. I went and took a look at Twallans site, just to make sure I'm not purposely leading you to turn all your simmies bright red or something; here is what I can dig up:
You must have the Story Progression Extra module of the basic Story progression Mod installed. If you set to True under Nraas/StoryProgression/General Options/Pregnancy the "Advanced Genetics" option it will open several more. Advanced Genetics appears to not allow your population to turn into puddings if you've set them up to not be puddings in the first place. After this there is another few options that open if you allow Advanced Genetics. Blend Mutation Chance, and Blend Mutation Travel. Twallan does note that this only applies to Skin color and features. It seems that he left eye color and hair color in EA's inept hands. Doh! Guess I should have read that before, huh? lol (I apologize for the length *blush) |

Hmmm. Yes. I cleaned out a lot of my CC a few days ago. However, my biggest gripe is toddlers whose parents and grandparents didn't have that color. I get that there are dominant and recessive genes in real life that can hide for long long times, but I just want pretty simmies darn it!

Oh... seems like I needed to download that extra thing then. Lolz.
I don't think I will, if it can't stop the annoying hair mutation. |
Here is my first blog post! http://maessonlegacy.blogspot.com/2...iry-at-all.html
|
People shouldn't get attached to my legacy just yet.. Due to the graphics card being a little piece of crap, and waiting to hear from my sister's boyfriend whether the guy who can help me with a new graphics card and not heard from yet, it's causing my computer fan to make a lot of noises and get quite warm. (I already know the graphics card may fry, I was told in March it might fry in the next few months but could keep playing.. I didn't until a month or two ago). Anyways the point is it pisses me off, whether it's actually damaging or not, the noise is annoying and sometimes the game lag, so the legacy may end up being postphoned (Depending), only an hour of playing or even less it makes so much noise and heats up.
Not saying it will get cancelled unless the entire computer stuffs up and I didn't back up the savefile, just until I get a new graphics card. |
I AM GETTING A NEW COMPUTER IN FEB!!!! SO EXCITED!
That is all xx |
Congrats LA! Do you know what kind you're going to get yet?
![]() Regarding that ugly green mutation hair, I use a mod by Pescado that stops it from appearing. It doesn't get rid of all random genetic mutations, but you won't have to deal with that particular hair color popping up among your townies or actives anymore. Post #16, by J.M. Pescado. |
Umm I am getting one custom built, to what I need - Course related costs for the win!
|
I have updated: Chapter 3: Tara's Legacy- http://amberstonelegacy.blogspot.co...ras-legacy.html
I will try my best to update, although I usually spend aleast an hour on it before my computer really gets on my nerves, but I seem to get a bit done during it (Falarae's death, Kate's death and the Cockatoo's death were all in an hour). |
@teal - I vote Anders. Maybe give him the rebellious trait for sassyness (which spellcheck tells me is not a word).
Also, Liquid, if the hair color you're talking about is blonde-green, I HATE that hair. It's one of EA's presets, and I've yet to find a Sim it looks good on. My game has recently been trying to murder my graphics card. I'm going to install the FPS limiter and see if that helps. So no Sims for me until that's done! |
I make up words ALL the time when they seem like they should actually be words....
|

This would be a great question to put to Twallan over on his chatterbox: http://nraas.wikispaces.com/Chatterbox He's great about answering questions you have. If the functionality doesn't cover it, chances are he's willing to add it! |
I haven't been here in forever. I took a 'vacation' from The Sims for a while. I'm back now and wanted to say hello to all the oldies and newbies here. *waves*
|
Hi, Rawla, welcome back!
I've taken a few vacations from simming myself, from time to time. But it always draws me back in. |
Hey there Calisims! It is too addicting to leave for long. RL chaos has slowed a little so this it is nice to be back. And just in time for seasons too. I'm looking forward to that one. Any new happenings here, other than an awesome new thread?
|
Hi, Rawla! We recently had a poll, and got rid of one of the rolls. That's about it.
(It was "Born with It".) |
I has an update! - http://clemetislegacy.blogspot.co.u...ixty-eight.html
Must put trips on downloads page... I've been thinking about the gifting issue and I would like to gift people things, but don't really want to start a separate game for it, so would it be ok to use MC to take away the lifetime points from doing it in my legacy family so they don't get any advantage from it? |
Sure, Ali that sounds fine. I forgot about that option in MC.

Supernatural comes out, temptation over boiling and I play Sims 3, even if it means my graphics card might die soon. I just can't help it, I really want to play and I love Supernatural, especially the witches, they can techinally kill sims with Fire Blast XD |
Hope your graphics card can hang in there a bit longer. Playing The Sims is a nice release from RL. Not to mention it is just plain FUN.

Thanks, I hope so too, I am working on the legacy of course but after an hour of playing, the computer making so much noise (Mostly the fan getting louder) so I just get out of the game (Only happens in like Sims 3 and GTA IV). Here's my blog though if you wanted to read it: http://amberstonelegacy.blogspot.co...ras-legacy.html.
Since it's been a while since I checked it out, but am I able to have a signature? I want to add the link to it so I don't keep posting it, but I don't know if you can or not, totally forgot (I used to have an Avatar as well, can't remember how to update one hehe). Oh, guys listen to the label on the front of my computer here btw: Great for Gaming Cool and Quiet Operation High Performance Graphics card Hm interesting except I find out the graphics card I have IS NOT REALLY MEANT FOR GAMING! Or aleast Sims 3 (NVIDA Geforce GT230 Graphics if you are wondering). The fan apparently melted my graphics card back in March, which caused some weird crap and made it not work, so we had to get a new fan in and the card's dying. Cool and Quiet? My freaking ass, playing Sims 3 for an hour, touch the side and it's quite warm at the back. Also the fan makes so much damn noise, and even when I got an 5k page story open it still does it >.> So yeah, and this is a two year old computer, don't you hate it when they lie to you?. But maybe it was Skyrim, I mean Sims 3 and GTA IV probably shouldn't have done it, this only happened when I played Skyrim a few days in October... Sorry for that, it's just so annoying, considering I am almost to the fifth heir, I could do it, somehow I could really make it to Gen 10, and finished a Sim Legacy once and for all. Hopefully the new one will be better, looking into getting a GeForce GTX 560 or a Radeon HD 7850, looked them up and asked about it, seems good and the Graphics Card link here says they work with Sims 3. Edit: And I just realized where I can edit an Avatar or Signature DOH!, I didn't realize User Tools did that... |
Chapter 11 is up. http://archers3.blogspot.com/2012/0...-be-vexing.html
I mean, I had a lot of fun today. |
Nuts your blog gave me an interesting suggestion, I don't know how this works or not, but what about adding a new challenge? Called Talking to the Dead or something. Basically a Sim has to hang out with the dead more then the living from child to elder (Maybe even Woohoo and having a baby with them). Their only friends can be the ghosts of past.
Your first chapter gave me that idea, when Mab says she plays with the dead then the living more when she was a kid (Wait.. I think it said something like that). Reading your legacy for the first time (Getting around to reading everyone's. I finished Cali's and Missy's, and um the Marlon Legacy, forgot who made that one, and in the middle of the Starr Legacy, Chapter 51). |
Mab Archer has always had the ability to see and communicate with ghosts, so as a child she did like to sneak out to graveyards and talk to them.
Even so, I'd say she spent far more time socializing with her parents, living friends, and children. Ghosts just can't be counted on. =P |
Nuts- lol true, although it would be interesting XD. Your blog's a bit long, might not able to read all of it in one day, but we will see
![]() |
It seems incredible but I'm at the point to fail my challenge
![]() My fairy sim, Pepper,is a mixed single parent and a alchemist. She has a cute ghost toddler and she had to have another child for the "mixed single parent" goal. At first I wanted to adopt a little girl but one evening, after she had spent the whole day at the elixir shop, she found a teenager in her home. He was not the babysitter, I couldn't explain why he was in Pepper's house so late in the evening (it was 11 pm). Suddenly I reminded Calisim's Brannon story when Heath came back home and found a teenager sleeping on his lounge chair.. So I realised it could be great to adopt Liam Crumplebottom (it's his name) . He was very close to become a YA (6 days left when I added him to my household) and I was greatly satisfied not having to raise another child.. BUT THERE IS A BIG PROBLEM ![]() One of my generation 1's goals is "Gourmet". So I've to cook all the family's favorite meals. No problems for Pepper, she loves pasta.. The ghost baby like an asian meal but as I've not intention travelling just for this, I had planned to use a mod which would allow me to buy the book at the grocery store or change Raven's favorite meal as soon as he will grow up.. But the problem is Liam Crumplebotton. He likes a meal which is called "cerviche" in French. I didn't know at all this recipe from SN EP and I sadly realised that Pepper has to have the level 10 to cook it.. So only left 3 days for Liam before he become YA. My sim is level 3 in cooking and except if she keep reading cooking books without doing anything else during 4 days, I can't see how she will succeed it. I tried to prepare elixirs in order 1) to keep her energy bar full during at least 24 h and 2) to help her raising her cooking skills.. but for the next elixir, she has to have wolsfbane flowers in her inventory and it's the only plant she doesn't have in her garden.. and 2) She has to find a emerald gem for the second elixir, and it's hard to find.. Everytime she can find one emerald and prepare the elixir, she gain points in another skills.. It's so irritating!!! So, I don't think I'll be able to succeed this goal.. I can't use my joker neither, because it's a miscellanous goal (section F) and changing a goal in this section when I've played so much weeks and have had already my heir will not be suitable to this challenge's spirit |
If it was me, I'd just let her skill it and invite him over so he can eat it when it's possible, not sure if that's cheaty or not...

@ashaw814
Apparently there is an issue where if your graphics card is over what is required, the game will start running it like crazy instead of stopping after it hits a certain fps level. This causes the graphics card to overheat. I've just started to have (what I think) is this problem, and found an fps limiter to install. I still need to do that, haven't had time. You might want to look into that. It could just be your graphics card is just too good. |
I'm currently writing the next chapter. But since my Gen 2 heir has reached teenagehood, I decided to roll for the next generation. (Once each heir reaches teenagehood, I'll roll for them.)
Oh boy. Full house. One child. Midnight's going into the military and the other three people living in her house are a collector, a farmer/beekeeper, and a stylist. Gen goal = deadbeat parents. Fun goal = It's So You. This is just dripping with story potential and Deadbeat Parents is going to suit Midnight so well. :DDDD |

It was just so bizarre, being able to play Skyrim with no problems but not being able to run The Sims. I blame EA! |
asha- Ah, so new graphics card doesn't always meant it will work out..
That's actually what I am afraid of, from 2006-2010 I had to deal with my old computer since it's a piece of crap (I think I had it since like 2003 or something, whenever Windows XP was around), and constantly something wrong with it, until it completely crapped out in 2010. Got this computer and while things ran normally, I knew eventually.. it wouldn't last. Cue 2011 got a nasty virus, and 2012 the graphics card wants to die eventually. I don't think it matters what I do, computers seem to be built to make my life hell, and so is the internet connection (This is how bad that is, we have to reinstall the internet with a disk every two or so days, sometimes three.. Sometimes after 1)... If I could have a perfect computer with a perfection internet connection, to play WoW, Sims 2/3, GTA IV and some other games, my life might be alright.. |

If you have a Nvidia graphics card, you should be able to manually turn VSync on in your Nvidia control panel. Just switch it to on for the Sims 3 application, and it automatically limits your fps to about 60. I have a Nvidia GeForce GTX 570, and that's how I control my fps. I burned out my first card (a GTX 560) that way before I learned that trick. I was getting upwards of 300 fps, when you really only need about 30 to 40 fps for smoothness and whatnot. @ashaw814 and Willow's Tara- Have you all checked out the system requirements list on MTS? They have a really helpful chart of graphics cards and how they perform with the game. (Link.) I didn't see your specific graphics card on there ashaw, but then again I don't really know what I'm looking for, lol. It's worth a glance if you haven't already seen it. ![]() |
mimi, is it possible for Liam to earn enough points to buy the reward to change his favorite food before he moves out?
Miss Laheela, there are some rules that require you start them at birth (like Random Traits), so it's a good idea to roll your next generation before they are born rather than waiting. Your roll for Midnight sounds interesting, though, I can't wait to see what you do with it. |
Buck- Yeah, that's why I was thinking of getting the two graphics card mentioned on I think the last page, because they were both on the chart and all said Yes
|
I tend to randomize traits anyway. In fact, none of the traits for any of the Gen 2 kids were selected by me. They were all random. It makes it more of a challenge for me.

Has anyone ever been so disappointed in a roll? I finally rolled for Jade's heir and I totally deflated. I wanted single w/ help or one of the three/four family rolls.
Instead: Couple 2 kids Primary: Medical Secondary: Author Gen Goal: 5 Star Celeb Misc Fun: Fashion Diva : ( Jade's kid had better be friggin adorable. |
Awh. Yeah, that seems like a "normal family" roll. I think you can turn it into something awesome, though. You're a good writer.
|
They could be a 5 star celebrity for all the wrong reasons? Attaching extra limbs on people, becoming Frankenstein, truly horror story esque things...

Being good is also good.

![]() Leadership is passed to the heir, Midnight prepares for her own path to further her father's dreams, and Rufus drives a police car. Yes. Rufus. And a police car. The second generation's rules have also been rolled. I have very interesting plans for the three other people required to be in the family for the Full House requirement. I really can't wait. ![]() |
@mimi250 - Is that a french dish? You should be allowed to reroll his favorite food if its a WA food and you dont wish to travel for it.
If you want to skill up cooking more efficiently, have her read cooking books in the library. The library should give a nice reading bonus and help you skill faster. |

I totally agree with misslaheela, you can take any 'normal' roll like that and turn it into something amazingly humor/drama/mystery/fantasy all rolled up in one giant sim sammich! I've had a hectic couple of work days, so I stayed up late to crank out another chapter because I find it very therapeutic now to escape into my sims perfect (thus far) little lives for an hour or so! Of course, all that amazing perfectness is about to end! ![]() BUT... let us revel in the magic cuteness of babies! (One of THE cutest screenshots I have ever been lucky enough to pause just at the perfect moment to capture!) And please read my new chapter: ![]() I'll be posting the roll for Gen 2 tomorrow as well! ![]() PS: I've got tons of reading to catch up on everyone's blogs and this thread too. Tomorrow! |
Envie, that is just TOO precious!

Fourth Chapter is up!: http://amberstonelegacy.blogspot.co...-4-newborn.html
It may be a little while before the fifth one is up, although there's a chance it will be up tomorrow, but as the weekend approaches I won't really have time to play the legacy (Or even if I do, update the blog) since I am busy. Question, the fact my third chapter has about 10 views, does mean there's 10 views right? (And does it include when I am viewing the page more then once?), it does help if that means 9 or so people are viewing it ![]() |

Yes It's cheaty.. Liam lives in my household, he's supposed to stay until he becomes YA (in 3 days).. And I'm supposed to cook his favorite meal at least one time before he leaves (in 4 days)

Not enough points.. He has moved too recentlly. But if I change it just because I can't cook it, it will be like cheating.

It's not a french dish, it's a new SN dish.. I'll try the library (it's my last chance) and will let you know |
@Mimi- Well, I don't think teal's suggestion would honestly be that cheaty. I mean, nowhere (that I can see) does the rule state that you have to cook the meal while the spares live in your house. So, theoretically, you skill up your founder to level 10 cooking and then invite Liam over and call the household to the meal and then you're done!
But, I did want to ask you all- Are we allowed to move in a kid who is a teenager and count them as one of our rolled children? I didn't read anything that said otherwise in the rules, but I could have sworn that we had this discussion a long time ago and we decided that you have to adopt a kid who was child age or younger because they don't offer teenager adoptions through the social worker. Not that it matters to me either way, but perhaps it's something that should be discussed? What do you all think? |

Buckley, I wouldn't have adopted a teenager, if I hadn't have the example of Calisims who adopted Marvin (a teenager) in her blog story.. I was off this challenge for a long time so I may have missed a lot of interesting topics about how to deal with the rules. So according to what you say, I shouldn't consider Liam as the second child of my household. It would change everything as I would be able to continue my challenge.. So maybe we can have another debate on this rule as it seems some of us choose to adopt teens instead of children or youngers.. |
I always thought adopting teens was allowed, actually. That's why I did it.
I don't remember any discussion about it. |
