Hmn... I was sure I had it all right. But I'll try switching it up, at least now I know for sure that they're supposed to eat on the counters!

How do I stop this without a table and chairs?
Update AwesomeMod. It sticks a limit on how far sims will attempt to ridiculously traipse to find a seat.

Is there a way to delete pictures out of the Screenshots-folder without the game naming later pictures the same names? Okay, that sounds totally weird... But you know, if you delete Screenshot-182.jpg, the next time you take a picture in game, that will be named Screenshot-182.jpg too. It's totally annoying! I'm guessing there's no way to fix it, but you can always ask...

Is anyone else having trouble installing the new store content? The launcher keeps telling me to check my game for updates, but I know for a fact that my game is updated and patched. I've pulled out all of my custom content while installing to ensure that it's not a conflict between different package files, but that's not it. I can't figure out why it won't install.

I've had lots of problems with Sims3Packs lately, though not with any error messages. I don't know how to fix your problem, but what I now do if I can't install a Sims3Pack is convert it into package format with Delphy's Sims 3 Pack Multi-Extracter. It's here somewhere, on MTS.

Package files...my stupid question

This can probably be answered with just a yes or no and I have a sinking feeling that I know the answer already, but here goes.....can package files somehow be put into the Sims3Pack format for loading into the game?

My guess is that if you put an arbitrary file in there and name it Screenshot-182.jpg, the next screenshot will be named Screenshot-183.jpg. I would think it would be easier just to leave screenshot 182 in there though -- copy it instead of moving it if you want it in another folder

Yup, plenty of people are having issues with the launcher. Check the Help forum for more info.

I think I read somewhere that there is no program at the time which does this, but that it could technically be done, only you'd loose thumbnails and stuff in the process.

How do you get a sim to play with fire?

i do believe you must acquire the Pyromaniac trait first.

Ok. That's from marrying a fireman, right? I was just curious, because my dare devil sims in the past have rolled a want, to want to play with fire.

well, if you dont have WA, you can use this mod to unlock being able to view the Pyromaniac trait [ its usually hidden, along with Never Makes A Mess, etc. ]... though, yes, firemen should have it. if you use the mod, you can create someone with the trait and use them instead.

What items can boost a baby's (not toddler's) mood? I have a baby in a room with incense burning and its favorite music playing; however, even with those +30 points, the baby's mood remains averagely happy.

Doesn't the music keep the baby awake? Or maybe that was just TS2?

mangaroo 11th Jan 2010 4:37 PM

I turn the music off when the baby needs to sleep, but there does seem to be an odd bug. If the baby is tired enough to sleep and the music is on, it will sleep with a continually recycling "rude awakening" moodlet (-10) alongside the amplified moodlet for favorite music (+20). So if I left the music on, the baby would still sleep with a net gain of 10 points.

Vattenlilja 11th Jan 2010 4:48 PM

Oh, haha, that's weird!

Why is the garden infront of the Alto home shaped like a penis?

When you move from one house to another and bring the fridge with you, do the ingredients all stay in the fridge or do you have to start stocking it all over again?

Since the last update, I haven't been able to play my Sims 3 at all. My launcher is done for (it won't do anything), and the game takes so long (we're talking 20+ minutes) to load that it is hardly worth the effort! I am seriously thinking about switching back to Sims 2. I don't know if I have too many program files; too many Sims3packs; or both or if something else is wrong. Where do I start???? Any help is appreciated.

mangaroo 12th Jan 2010 12:24 AM

bybar, start with the FAQs in the Help section (from the top menu: Help > Sims 3 > Main Page). If you don't find the answers there, scroll to the bottom of that page and you will see a link to the help forum.

Nicely Decorated Moodlet gives +40, I try to get this in the room my baby's sleeps in, but any of them are a help. I have placed my cribs in the master bedroom and made the parents sleep in the guest room

Flamefruit in the baby's inventory will give another good boost.

I am sure you know about the teddy bear.

OK....thanks.

For those who experience lag, does the neighborhood become more laggy the longer you play or does performance improve after a while?

It either stays the same or gets worse... but it never gets better

I have WA and picked up some of the incense burners and keep those lit all the time in the baby's room and study rooms. It gives anyone in the room a little boost.
