Cruel Intentions - 10 / 10
I love this movie! :D |
The Dark Knight Rises (2012) - Superhero
∞ / 10 I was glued to every bit of this. You don't even notice how long the film is because there isn't any part that is dragged out. I had a full bag of Doritos to eat, and I didn't even open them because I was busy watching the movie! |
There are the films i have watched this week.
A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story - 7/10 The true story of Gwen Araujo, a young transgendered woman who was brutally murdered by four men in 2002. It was a very movie and touching story,it shows what the family goes through and what the child has to deal with while growing up in the wrong body.this is a true story and i did not know that till the end and Gwens mom is helping to fight the rights of trans peole everywhere. Chalet Girl - 4/10 It's clichéd and completely predictable at every moment. Whether or not this will bother you or not is entirely down to your tolerance for the romantic-comedy genre. I personally would classify it as a perfectly watchable movie. Gray Matters - 6/10 They finish each other's sentences, dance like Fred and Ginger, and share the same downtown loft--the perfect couple? Not exactly. Gray and Sam, are a sister and brother so compatible and inseparable that people actually assume they are dating. Mortified, they both agree they must branch out and start searching for love. This is your not normal lesbian film at all it did not follow the normal storyline which is good,It a story about a girl named Gray who discovers her sexuality you see her go through the transition and she falls in love with her brothers wife.it is a film i would so watch again. 21 Jump Street - 6/10 A pair of underachieving cops are sent back to a local high school to blend in and bring down a synthetic drug ring. its a very funny films and i laughted alot of the way through it and it speaks for itself really thats all i could say. Water Lilies - 6/10 Summer in a new suburb outside Paris. Nothing to do but look at the ceiling. Marie, Anne and Floriane are 15. Their paths cross in the corridors at the local swimming pool, where love and desire make a sudden, dramatic appearance.a very captivating film about the discovery of sexuality by three teenage girls. The magic of the movie lies in its capacity to bring back many memories to how it felt like to be their age.The music is perfect and the acting is amazing. The camera works beautifully also. Because I Said So - 5/10 A meddling mother tries to set her daughter up with the right man so her kid won't follow in her footsteps.a funny and cute film about a mother medding in her youngest daughters life,it was very predictable but worth watching because it was funny and cute. Center Stage: Turn It Up - 4/10 this film was not as good as the first one the acting was ok but it was predictable,it is about a young girl who's dream is to go to the american ballet school. The ending was still cute even through i saw it coming. Make It Happen - 5/10 Embarking on a journey to fulfill her dreams as a dancer, a young girl discovers a new style of dance that will prove to be the source of both conflict and self-discovery. i love dance films and have found they mostly have the same storyline this one included, apart from that i enjoyed this film i have watched it so many times. |
Mirror Mirror - 7/10
Dramatisation of Snow White. Acting, script and costume all a bit meh, but good, entertaining and a happy ending. Perfect for a lazy Saturday afternoon |
^ i have seen mirror mirror and i rated it before i thought the same thing as u,but i did not really like the ending part.
These are the films i have seen this week. Tomboy - 6/10 A 10-year-old girl, settling into her new neighborhood outside Paris, is mistaken for a boy and has to live up to this new identity since it's too late for the mistake to be clarified. Its a very touching tale about a 10 year old girl who sercretly wants to be a boy and trys everything she can to be that.the reaction on her mother was very touching and it shows how sweet and inocent children can be,it had me hooked all the way through. Wrong Turn - 5/10 Six people find themselves trapped in the woods of West Virginia, hunted down by "cannibalistic mountain men grossly disfigured through generations of in-breeding." It was an ok horror film it reminds me abit of The Hills Have Eyes.It was funny in parts but none of the deaths made me laugh and i was not shocked or anything about this film,it is a good film to watch to pass the time. (by the way i love horror films and the best ones make me laugh at the deaths) Show Me Love - 6/10 Two teenage girls in small-town Sweden. Elin is beautiful, popular, and bored with life. Agnes is friendless, sad, and secretly in love with Elin. Its a sweet story about two young girls discovering there sexuality and all the things they have to go through,it made me smile and the ending was so sweet. Also it shows how teenage life can be. Your Highness - 3/10 When Prince Fabious's bride is kidnapped, he goes on a quest to rescue her... accompanied by his lazy useless brother Thadeous.I thought it was quiet a boring feel and the only reason i rated it so high was because Natalie Portmen was in it,she was the best part of the film. TED - 7/10 As the result of a childhood wish, John Bennett's teddy bear, Ted, came to life and has been by John's side ever since - a friendship that's tested when Lori, John's girlfriend of four years, wants more from their relationship. It is a funny story about a guys relationship with his teddy and how that effects his life,it had me laughing and smiling and shouting at my screen,i would have rated it higher but i found the voice of Ted annoying. The Truth About Jane - 7/10 Jane, a high school teenager, tries to deal with the discovery that she is a lesbian after developing an intense friendship with another girl who makes her discover her true sexuality. This film shows what lesbians and gays have to go through and how some people hate them and would not even allow them to have certain jobs,it shows how a young girl falls for her friend and how that effects her family life and her relationship with her so called friend and it shows how some people can be caring. Avengers Assemble - 6/10 Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D. brings together a team of super humans to form The Avengers to help save the Earth from Loki and his army. This was a good film i loved the graphics,it did go on for along time but it did keep my attention.i loved the little one liners that made me laugh. |
The Dark Knight Rises
8/10 It was better than I was expecting. As much of a Batman dork as I am, I wasn't a huge fan of the previous Nolan films, but I liked this one much better. It's still got some problems, though. The actions sequences are boring, and there isn't really anything to break up the constant tension. There's always something going on, and it's an almost 3 hour long movie! The implications of the actions and opinions of the protagonists are somewhat worrying. But the movie does a great job at pulling together the trilogy and tying up loose ends. This makes it fairly epic, and somewhat satisfying. |
"Tyler Perry's Madea's Witness Protection"
5/10 - It was just wasn't as funny as it could of been and the plot wasn't that great either. It had a few funny moments, but most of the movie was a snooze-fest. "Ted" 4/10 - It was funny for the first half of the movie, but after that, the movie just took a wrong turn. What could of been a great comedy movie, was destroyed by a shitload of unnecessary drama. |
"Nightmare on Elm Street 4: Dream Master"
7/10 - I liked the new characters of the film, and the inner struggle of the new final girl, but Freddy is overkilling it with his comedy. |
The Films Since The Last Time I Posted
But I'm A Cheerleader (1999) - 7/10 A naive teenager is sent to rehab camp when her straitlaced parents and friends suspect her of being a lesbian. This was a very cute and funny tale of where a teen girl finds out who she really is and who she really loves,I could not help smile at the ending and laugh through the film. The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love (1995) - 6/10 An adventurous love story between two young women of different social and economic backgrounds who find themselves going through all the typical struggles of a new romance.I thought i would not enjoy this film but i really did,it shows how love can change people and make them better and there love is so sweet and pure and how they over come it all.It kinda reminds me abit of my love life. Brave (2012) - 7/10 Determined to make her own path in life, Princess Merida defies a custom that brings chaos to her kingdom. Granted one wish, Merida must rely on her bravery and her archery skills to undo a beastly curse. This was funny which i was not expecting at all and it looks real but fariytale like at the same time. It shows how a mother can really love her daughter no matter what and shows the working of the family in some funny ways. Mom at Sixteen (2005) - 6/10 Pregnant sixteen year old Jacey's well-meaning mother forces her to keep the birth a secret and decides to raise the baby as her own.I have always liked this film and the first time i watched it it made me cry and smile both at the ending. And Soon the Darkness (2010) - 6/10 When two American girls on a bike trip in a remote part of Argentina split up and one of them goes missing, the other must find her before her worst fears are realized. This film was abit boring in part but was overall it was good and i liked guessing who the kidnapper was and i was right. The Cabin in the Woods (2011) - 6/10 Five friends go for a break at a remote cabin in the woods, where they get more than they bargained for. Together, they must discover the truth behind the cabin in the woods. The concept of the film was good but the overall film was ok but i would not watch it again because the ending was not good.but i liked the only bloody bit in it.I think they could of changed a few bit to make it more intresting. The Hunters (2011) - 2/10 A new police officer wants to meet up with somebody in an abandoned fort in the woods. What he doesn't know is that the place also serves as a meeting point for a group of hunters - whose prey aren't animals. The only reason i watch this film in because it had one of my favourite actresses in it but overall the film was very disappointing, nothing really happends and the script was boring i thought the plot would have been good but it was not. |
I don't watch many movies. It takes a lot to convince me to sit down and watch however - I did go see the Batman Dark Knight Rises - I liked it better than the original Dark Knight so I'd give it an 8.
I also found my old childhood favorite movie, the Neverending Story, which I would rate about the same, not because it was 'amazing' but because it made me feel like a child again, and I will always and forever adore the movie I used to watch over and over and over again when I came home from elementary school. |
White Hunters
http://www.youtube.com/movie?v=iFq2...Q&feature=mv_sr This is a movie outside of Hollywood experience. It succeeds in being what it is, which is funny, but is also unintentionally hilarious many times. So if you've never seen a Nollywood movie before then it's good to start here. Starting from 10: -1 for being so pretentious -1 for not really being specifically about being a hunter searching for white meat like the theme song implies, but more about gold-digging any rich man who isn't black +1 for no profanity / nudity -1 again for being so pretentious -1 for being so gloriously bad +1 for theme song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcv93XNN8mY Final Rating: 8/10 |
Brave 9/10
What can I say? Realistically flawed characters, funny interactions, great show of Archery technique, and most importantly, the impressively amazing animation renders. |
I watched "Mirror Mirror" yesturday, and I can honestly say it was the worst film I've ever seen. First of all, the actors were increadibly insincere. Snow White was a classic "damsel in distress" who 'surprises' everyone by becoming a 'warrior' (yes, all the quotation marks are nesessary)
Secondly, her eyebrows were so huge that I couldn't keep my eyes off of them. The film was so extremely un-original that I just wanted to tear my eyes out. Poor comedy, bad actors and a weird Bollywood dance at the end awards "Mirror Mirror" a -1/10 |
The Fellowship of the Ring & The Two Towers (extended version)
∞ /10 Watched the extended versions of the first two parts of the LOTR trilogy. It was pure epic in term of characters, plot and visuals. Although some of the fantasy background looks like it's painted on a screen, the beauty is so astounding that not even modern movies, with their improved technology and visual effects, can surpass it. |
Circumstance - Drama - 2011
9/10 Very good film about 2 teenage girls in Tehran who run afoul of the morality police. It was hard to watch though and made me feel a lot of rage. The Rain People - Drama - 1969 8/10 Early film of Francis Ford Coppola. A Long Island woman, feeling trapped by her pregnancy, drives away from her marriage, and heads across country. There's a lot about this film that's brilliant. Not knowing what she wants, Natalie Ravenna finds herself enmeshed in the lives of 2 men she randomly encounters. Great performances by Shirley Knight, James Caan and Robert Duvall. |
Repo! The Genetic Opera (2008) - 6/10
A worldwide epidemic encourages a biotech company to launch an organ-financing program similar in nature to a standard car loan. The repossession clause is a killer, however. Its not your normal musical it was dark and had some gore in it,i enjoyed watching it and it had some great songs and the storyline and acting where great. Boot Camp (2008) - 7/10 A group of at-risk teens are sent to a what they think is a rehabilitation program on Fiji, but it's really a prison-like camp where kids are abused and brainwashed. I watched this film because it had my favourite actress in it but i thought it was going to be rubbish but it was not it was great and it was very touching and i cant believe things like this really happen,i enjoyed it so much i really want to watch it again the storyline was great and great acting to,i could not fault it. What to Expect When You're Expecting (2012) - 7/10 A look at love through the eyes of five interconnected couples experiencing the thrills and surprises of having a baby, and ultimately coming to understand the universal truth that no matter what you plan for, life doesn't always deliver what's expected. i was expecting this film to be better and funnier because of all the hype, but i must say it was a good film and it did have some funny parts in it but there are some things i would have changed but overall it was an enjoyable film. Ma vie en rose (1997) - 8/10 Ludovic is a small boy who cross-dresses and generally acts like a girl, talks of marrying his neighbor's son and can not understand why everyone is so surprised about it. His actions lead to problems for him and his family. this film touched my heart i felt so bad for hows his parents treated him because he was really was a girl, the acting and storyline was great and the boy who played Ludovic played him so well and made me believe every moment,it was such a great film. The Loved Ones (2009) - 4/10 When Brent turns down his classmate Lola's invitation to the prom, she concocts a wildly violent plan for revenge. this film was meant to be scary and really good but i found it really disapointing, the acting was not good at all, when Lola tried to be evil or scary she was not they way she acted just made me laugh, the plot of the film was a great idea but they way they done it could have been way better, but its one of those films u would just watch and laugh at how not scary or good it is. Empty Sky (2011) - 5/10 Brought together by music, two high school girls, Samantha and Taylor, begin a secret romantic affair. But when Taylor?s mom corners the girls, Taylor seems unwilling to protect the relationship, leaving Samantha to decide if it is worth her heartache to preserve it as she leaves for college. this film was so good and the storyline was great and so was the acting i would have rated it higher if it was longer because it was only 9 mins long i think they should make this into a long film. Girl in Progress (2012) - 5/10 As single mom Grace juggles work, bills, and her affair with a married doctor, her daughter, Ansiedad, plots a shortcut to adulthood after finding inspiration in the coming-of-age stories she's reading for school. i dont have much to say about this film it was good and everything but there is something about it which makes me not to want to rate it higher but it was a good film. Katy Perry: Part of Me (2012) - 6/10 A documentary that chronicles Katy Perry's life on and off-stage. it was a great look into her life i enjoyed watching it and u get to see how she really is and how her life effects her. August Rush (2007) - 7/10 A drama with fairy tale elements, where an orphaned musical prodigy uses his gift as a clue to finding his birth parents. i loved this film so much great storyline and acting, i would have rated it higher but i found it predictable but its such a great film and i really enjoyed it. |
Recently, I've watched Resident Evil 5 in theater with my friends group...This part is much better then the previous parts which seems too cool with awesome graphics & storyline..
|
Fright Night (2011)
Eh. Fright Night (1985) YEAH!! I love old horrors! |
Return of White Hunters 2
http://www.youtube.com/movie/return...ture=mv_e_rel_b Wow, what has happened to this series? Unlike the three previous pleasant short comedies, this deviant of the quadrilogy dives into black magic and gets wtfbbq fast. Other movies know how to mix in light humor with horror and keep the funny pleasant. This is not one of those short films. Starting from the scene where a live, kidnapped baby is buried at midnight as a ritual, you would think it can't get worse, but it can and does. It can still be hilarious, but not in the harmless way as the previous films. This is dark funny and you need a generous bit of schadenfreude to enjoy this downright bizarre mess! In defense of it, it's probably because it had a different writer / director. Starting from 10 -1 for midnight baby burial and other mischief never done before in this series -1 for ruining all the main characters -1 for ending the series in bizarre mayhem and unnecessary desperation +1 for bad, guilty comedy ( it's hilarious, but it a dark way, unlike the previous films ) -1 for wtf all over the place Final Rating: 7/10 |
Stuck - 3/10
It's basically about this chick who's a nurse and she runs over this guy on her way home from work one night and he gets stuck in the windshield. Instead of calling the police/taking the guy to hospital, she makes a bad life choice and decides to hide his still alive body in her garage because getting a promotion at work is way more important that helping an injured person. ![]() The movie is dumb, but the acting is good for a laugh. |
I think they stole that story from a real life incident of a young nurses aid named Chante Mallard who was drunk and high on X when she hit and ran someone who got stuck in the windshield. So she drove home and let him take 2 or 3 days to die in her garage. After it hit the news these stank inbred stormfront bigots from the south and midwest wrongly announced she was black because of her name.

Resident Evil: Retribution:
9/10 I really liked the plot, the action. And being in 3D just made it all the worth wild. It was a really good movie. Though the ending was very interesting. I do like who they got for Jill Valentine. And Ada Wong and Leon Kennedy. However, I wish Alice would just get out of the movies. If we all remember, I can't remember which game, but Alice had ONE appearance, and that was it. Alice is like the main character throughout the entire movie series -.-" Still a good movie. And one of my favourite singers from Japan, Mika Nakashima, kicked ass. And had a longer roll. I squealed. ![]() But yes, a really good movie ![]() |
Tim & Eric's Billion Dollar Movie
30/10. Seriously, if you've ever enjoyed the show or that type of humor, your brain will fall out of your head. It's so awesome. |
Wide Sargasso Sea (the 1993 version)... 10/10, because holy shit, I never thought I could enjoy a modern era set film, ever.
|
Dredd- 6/10, it was overall alright, but not worth the $11 I have to pay for it. Alright, I'm probably biased because of it, and it's my fault for going on weekends (when movie tickets are more expensive), but I'm still sore about that loss of money.
Loopers- 4.8/10. The plot is plain weird, and it's not executed properly. Threads are left hanging, and the ending sucks. |
Looper - Sci Fi Drama - 2012
8/10 A pretty good time travel story with some Damian/The Omen stuff thrown in but with a different twist. Good performances from Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Emily Blunt. |
Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf
10/10 (was there any doubt?) I have to say, I am totally in love with old films as of late. Plus, this one in particular was pure genius. |
The Lucky One
5/10 I'm not really one for romantic drama, and this movie was oka-ay. A little cliche at times, and the ending was terribly thought out. |
I watched a move called Daybreakers. It was on SYFY yesterday. It was quite good. 8/10
|
I watced Battleship Potemkin, a silent film from 1925, I liked it a lot but I thought it would be much better... 4/5
|
The Member of the Wedding - Drama - 1952
7/10 What's disconcerting about this film is that it's about a girl, Frankie Addams, who's supposed to be 12 years old. But she's played by Julie Harris who was 26 years old at the time. Julie Harris starred in the Broadway production and on stage it worked. Plus, the role is too difficult for an actual teenager to perform on stage. But films have close ups which in this case, are disturbing. Other than that I love the play and Ethel Waters' performance as Berenice. Resurrect Dead: The Mystery of the Toynbee Tiles - Documentary - 2011 6/10 The mystery is ridiculous, but I enjoyed the telling of the story. |
The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) 8/10
This film lives up to its title it was amazing and funny but it did get boring in some parts but that is to be expected, but i would defo say its a film to watch. Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot (1992) 3/10 It was funny to begin with but then it just got boring but its an ok film to watch while you are doing something else. Bait (2012) 7/10 It was a really good film once it got into it, with some plot twist and some good blood the acting was also better then i expected, the only let down was that the special effects on the sharks and other thing where not great. this was the first shark related film i have ever seen. Elvis and Anabelle (2007) 6/10 I thought this film was going to be the normal romance film but i was very happily surprised, i think it could have been betterbut this film has stuck in my mind and i thought the idea behind the film was great to because nothing like it has been done before it made a nice change. Fingersmith (2005) 8/10 this film was just plain amazing it was tugging on my heart string and made me confussed at the same time, the acting was down right amazing and the story line had so many twist and turns nothing like your normal romance movie. i was so surprised at how good it was, i have been putting off watching it forever and now i wished i watched it along time ago. The Boy Who Cried Werewolf (2010) 6/10 the normal disney/nick movie, it was funny and the acting was ok. but its one of those films that when you watch it you have to wait along time intill you watch it again because it will bore you. Intersect (2009) 5/10 I would have rated this film higher if the film was longer. it was only like 15mins long, i think they should remake this into a long film because the storyline was good and so was the acting and i think alot of young girls could relate. The Ring (2002) 7/10 I have been putting off watching this film for years because i thought it would have been boring, but i was surprised at how good it was. threw out the movie i was surprised and was keeped guessing and i could watch this film like 100 times and never get bored of it. The World Unseen (2007) 6/10 good movie but gets abit boring at times but it did shock me how people treat other people for being diffrent and just who they are. i had seen these two actresses act in another film and they are perfect together and have so much chemstry on film. Good Luck Charlie, It's Christmas! (2011) 5/10 the normal nick/disney film was funny in parts but could not keep my intrest, would be good for little children to watch. The Beautiful Ordinary (2007) 6/10 was surprised at how good this film was,the storyline to this film have not watch one like it before, i was laughting and some bits of it i could related to.its one of those films that you have to see. Yes or No (2010) 6/10 an amazing, funny and touching story the only let down is that i had to read subtitles i think they should make a version of this in english because its such a cute films. Lemonade Mouth (2011) 5/10 you normal nick/disney movie not much to say about it really but a good film to watch when you are bored. Butter (2011) 5/10 a kinda funny/weird film, its a film that will make you laugh a root for the underdog. and the film title says it all really. Out at the Wedding (2007) 5/10 very funny film but abit boring intill it gets to the funny parts. Gia (1998) 7/10 all i can say is that i loved it and its a film to watch. Resident Evil: Retribution (2012) 8/10 love this film so much i went to see it twice,it is so much better in 3D its like your in the movie. Sorority Wars (2009) 5/10 a avage good film but got boring in parts but still liked it. Cyberbully (2011) 3/10 a good meaning behind the film but it was boring and i guessed everything that would happen before it did. The Clique (2008) 5/10 a good film made me laugh and you see what a girl does just to try and be popular and in the end it all works out.kind of like a younger and not so good mean girls Raise Your Voice (2004) 6/10 very good film had me laughing and cry,i would watch it again |
Carrie (1976) 8/10
I wouldn't classify it as a horror film, more like a tragedy/drama/thriller. In fact, I think the only reason it landed in the horror genre was because of the slaughterfest at the end when Carrie snaps. I found this film to be more sad than horrifying either way, and as a past bullying victim, I can relate to Carrie, so it won me over for liking the characters. I hated Chris and her psychopathic boyfriend (seriously, who kills a pig for a prank?!) and I slowly started to like Sue over the course of the movie (what with her redeeming actions and all). Carrie's religious nut of a mother had me cringing, and the boy who asks Carrie out is just so sweet. This film had it's creepy moments (especially towards the end) and you can't help but feel sorry for Carrie. Overall 8/10--great movie, although the beginning scene made me feel kinda awkward. |
Extract (2009) 5/10
It was an ok movie,it get boring at time but there are funny bits in it which counters the boring parts. Pitch Perfect (2012) 6/10 Its a great plot and the acting was good to.it was such a great movie and it made me smile and the singing was good two.the only down part was there had like 2 people in there group who did not talk or anything they where there to fill but it annoyed me. Spirited Away (2001) 6/10 this movie is so sweet and i did not understand parts of it but it is so worth watching. Hick (2011) 6/10 its a good coming of age story, but there are somethings i would change to make it better. but other then that worth watching The Virginity Hit (2010) 5/10 it was not,it was not as good as i was lead it to be.it was very boring but i like the way thet shot it. Speak (2004) 7/10 amazing plotline and the acting to.it is a worth watching film.i dont want to say anymore to spoil it. First Position (2011) 7/10 a amazing true life film about ballet dancer, its a must watch if you are a dancer, i felt for them because i know what they went through. Hotel Transylvania (2012) 6/10 a cute film. i loved it but it was abit boring at parts but the bits that were not boring where amazing. Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge (2001) 5/10 its an o movie, its good to watch on halloween to get you in the spirt |
Okay let's see if I got this formatting right.
Movie Name - Lincoln (In Cinema) Rating - 9/10 Comments - The first part of the movie was slow and on the verge of boring, and caused some people in the audience to fall asleep which is why I didn't rate a 10. But the middle to end of the movie really picked up and was exciting and enthralling and a joy to watch history unfold like that. Sally Field, and Tommy Lee Jones in any movie really make it worth seeing. Daniel Day Lewis is not as an acclaimed actor as Sally Field or Tommy Lee Jones, yet he really brought it in this movie. Great for history buffs (like me). Very entertaining! |
500 Days of Summer
7/10 I enjoyed it, but i think thats because i like the actors. I felt like there was something missing, but i liked the general premises of the film, i would have liked more insight into why Summer changed her mind. The Perks of Being A Wallflower 9/10 Loved it! The end was just, ergh amazing. I havn't read the book, but i defo will know. I like the characters and thought the actors done a good job, though it was very hard not to see Sam as Hermione. Only critism is i think it started a little slow, took a while for me to get into. |
Frankenweenie
7/10 It's predictable and cliche, but it's not really bad, had some funny moments. Cried twice. Wreck It Ralph 10/10 I'm kind of blindsided by the sheer amount of nostalgia. But looking past that revealed a story so good that I cried. Like, a lot. Hotel Transylvania 8/10 I kind of dislike when the Dracula turned to that "scary protective dad with sudden red lighting" it lacks dynamic and ruined the pacing of the scenes for me. Still very funny though. Barely cried. Rise of the Guardians 10/10 Emotional roller coaster for me, same with Wreck it Ralph. |
Les Misérables (2012) - 6/10
The acting was spot on but the singer was not as good as it is on the stage,I think they should of picked people who has performed on Les Mis on the stage before so the singing would be better.other then the singing it was a good film and it made me want to cry. Chloe (2009) - 4/10 I think the plot to the story was a good idea but it was very boring at some parts, half was through the film I got bored because nothing intresting really happend. but i must say Chloe is a psyco. Young Adult (2011) - 5/10 good film and great plot, the only reason I watched it was because a friend said I would enjoy it, which i did i found it funny and the girl a weirdo but missunderstood at the same time. The Breakfast Club (1985) - 6/10 This film is a classic and would say it is worth watching, the meaning behind the story and everything they go through can translate to anyone. its worth watching, i still can't believe i waited so long to watch it. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 (2012) - 6/10 It has a twist at the end which i kind of saw coming but if you have seen all the other films then its worth watching this one too but i do think they could of cut some stuff out which did not really relate to the story,it just felt like they where filling gaps. Annie Claus is Coming to Town (2011) - 5/10 Just a avage film the storyline and acting was ok but its a good film to watch at xmas time to get you in the mood, but other then that not really worth watching. Fly Away (2011) - 6/10 acting and storyline was amazing, this film tugged at my heartstring it made me happy and made me sad. This film made me understand so much and made me cry so much at the end and many happy times throughout the film. I would say this film is worth watching. Struck by Lightning (2012) - 7/10 This film is about a guy who does not fit in and all he wants to do it write and make a difference, its a amazing film it made me cry at the end it was just so well written and acted it tugged at my heartstrings. i would say this film is worth watching. Project X (2012) - 6/10 Its a good film. its about a boy who wants to be popular so he throws and really big party,if you like those kind of films then you should watch it. for me i liked it because of the way they shot as it felt like you was in the movie with them. Chained (2012) - 6/10 this film was meant to be scary and everything but it was not and i liked the fact that you did not see the people being killed you just saw the childs reaction and the aftermath. this film is worth watching, it shows that no matter how you are brought up you dont have to become something that you dont want to be. 2012 (2009) - 5/10 avage film, i watched this the day was meant to end because i thought i dont believe it would happen so i might as well watch the film. i found it boring most of the time, but if you like end of the world films then this is for you |
The Impossible (6/10)
I think it was a really well made film. . . it just lacked impact for me :/ Feel a bit heartless as the rest of the cinema was sobbing away and i just sat there like hmmm. Wasn't as sad as everyone made out, but a pretty emotional film that makes you think how short life is. It was based on a true story, but i can't help but feel it was dramatized a bit with the whole reunion thing. Catfish The Movie (6/10) Was pretty creepy and i think Neev and the people who produced it were pretty unethical in their treatmeant of the women and her family, she was clearly mentally unwell/ compulsive liar whatever and i just felt like they were exploiting them a bit, even though she was in the wrong to start with. |
Hot Fuzz (7/10)
A funny movie. I'm happy I ended up watching it. |
Wreck-It-Ralph: 7/10. The overall concept was alright, but the unnecessary romance between Calhoun and Felix just ruined everything

Fun Size 2012 - 5/10
It is a cute/funny film, if you want something to make you laugh or you like Nick movies then you should watch this. Ruby Sparks 2012 - 6/10 I was bored in some parts, but the storyline and the acting was great and there are little surprises in there. overall i found it cute and funny and worth watching. Now and Then 1995 - 6/10 Great film i would love to have a friendship like theirs. its kind of a coming of age and finding out who you are kind of story, it made me laugh and made me cry. it is one of those films that is timeless. Robot and Frank 2012 - 6/10 I thought this movie was going to be rubbish but i was very surprised, I don't want to say anything about the storyline because i will give away the what happens in the movie. all i have to say is that you should watch the movie because it is worth it. The Ward 2010 - 6/10 Good horror movie it is kind of a mind frick, i did not see it coming when i usally do in other horror films. Elsewhere 2009 - 5/10 the storyline was good but kind of boring, they needed to have more twists and nothing really happen till near the end. Puccini for Beginners 2006 - 6/10 this movie is a twist on romance movies and it shows how complicated love is and nothing is simple.it was very funny and it did not end like normal romance movies which i like. Triple Dog 2010 - 5/10 this movie was good and had abit of a twist, it also shows how different types of people can end up being better friends then people who are the same as you. Howl's Moving Castle 2004 - 4/10 i did not see the end of this movie, it was good but it kind of went on for to long. My Neighbour Totoro 1988 - 7/10 i love this movie it is so cute and i want Totoro. Camp 2003 - 5/10 i dont really know what to say about this movie, but it was good something just did not click with it. Red Doors 2005 - 6/10 a story about love and being true to yourself.it also shows that growing up and being different is not a bad thing |
The Hobbit
I loved every minute of it! 9/10 The only reason I gave it 9/10 is because that, when we got to see it at the theatre, the film started stopping and starting randomly at the end. Viewing pleasure reduced. But that's the theatre's fault anyways. |
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire- 7/10 I watched it and loved it. I read the books and watched it again. I wasn't worth watching the 2nd time because it was so bad compared to the books.
|
[Fox and the Hound] - [Old] - [Family]
[Rating: 8] -[I think the movie is a timeless classic about a fox and a hound.] |
[Get Him to the Greek]
[Rating: 5] I didn't really understand the movie, and I didn't like it. The only reason I watched it was because TJ Hooker was on after it and I wanted to watch that. |
Heebie Jeebies 2013
A "thriller" from SYFY 0/0 |
Rocket Science 2007 - 6/10
it is a good film about a boy trying to over come a stutter and finding himself. Would You Rather 2012 - 5/10 it is a horror but there is not much blood in it,it could have been better if more things went on. it is very much like the game would you rather but with a big twist |
John Dies at the End
6/10 I didn't read the book but familiar with the style of one of the writers, David Wong. Must have been very difficult to adapt the ideas to movie. |
The Losers (2010) - 6/10
It turned out to be better and had a lot of humor in it, but I must say it was more aimed towards guys. Wreck-It Ralph (2012) - 6/10 A very cute movie and has a great storyline, It also teaches the children and people watching the film something. Teen Spirit (2011) 5/10 This is one of those movies you watch when you are bored but it was funny. Up in the Air (2009) 5/10 This movie went on longer then it needed to be and it could have ended with a great ending but they seem to have dragged it out for no reason. The storyline was good and so was the acting but the ending really let it down. |
Rise of the Guardians (2012) - 6/10
This is such a cute and funny film, it is worth watching and has a great story to it. Closet (2012) - 1/10 This film was so bad, the acting was terriable and the storyline was worse. 10 Years (2011) - 4/10 I thought it was a good film, not seem a film like it before but i keeped figuring out what was going to happen so kind of predictable. Kill for Me (2013) - 4/10 Good film kinda slightly twisted, it is worth watching if you are into those kind of films. but some things in the film did not fit. |
The last movie I watched was Grave Encounters 2. I won't spoil anything but I will say it wasn't that great in my opinion. One part actually scared me but the rest was just .... well... found footage is overdone.
Before that a recent movie I watched is Vegas Vacation. Love it and probably one of few movies I'll watch more than once. Hahahaha! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oa1YsrQoCf0 |
Chinese Hercules
This cheap bad awesome flick has absolutely nothing to do with Hercules. The "hercules" isn't even the protagonist, but instead is this guy: ![]() Like other martial arts flicks, the story is there to make the sense it does just so people can get beat up. The problem with the story that I see has two separate parts: 1. Where is the police? It seems anyone can take over a ship port for illegal business as long as they have goons, because that is all that is needed. No papers to sign. 2. What the characters do in the story, their actions that they arrive at to the situation, are all wrong. I have to explain number 2 in a way that won't spoil the story and hilarity. Let's say that a cop's actions led to a shootout, and unfortunately a child is caught in the crossfire and killed. He feels guilty, but solves his guilt by sending his own child to adoption. Bingo. Wrong solution. That's the kind of logic you will witness in Chinese Hercules. Story: A martial arts man likes a woman. I mean he 'like' likes her. Unfortunately, the drunken brother attacks him and is killed. Guilt ridden, he runs to the docks and becomes the best dock unloader there. The dock owner is offered gold to open his port to bad stuff, and it is demanded that he fire all the workers. Then everyone fights. Rating: 6 hilarious bananas out of 10 |
Screaming Ninja
There IS a ninja, but he or she appears only twice briefly to shoot an arrow, and is never explained. The setting is in an undeclared Asian city where Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, and maybe other Asians live and barely tolerate each other. So, Chinese man meets a Chinese woman who pretends to be Japanese so that she can commit thievery. The entire first half is just these two going to different parts of the city looking for reasons to fight or pickpocket. At this point I was so hopelessly lost with the story that I gave up on it and my Effexor kicked in and I got giddy. Second half is about debt between schools of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean dojos and their bosses. More reason to fight, and again there are absolutely no police to be seen anywhere, just thugs and bullies ready to fight over the principle of whatever. There is a LOT of fighting at different locations ( sumo ring, on the shores, at a noodle stand, etc. ) and it does lend some variety. The final battle is a martial arts duel between the Chinese man and some other guy who killed his family. Their fight spans over from the urban area, onto a train which takes them somewhere else, onto cliffs, down to a waterfall. Very long fight sequence. As soon as the bad guy is killed, end of flick. What does this have to do with a ninja? Unlike Chinese Hercules, Screaming ninja is mostly ordinary. A much worse sin than being badfunny. 2/10 |
Upside Down 8/10
A sci-fi/fantasy romance where two worlds exist with different gravities. Such a beautiful film, visually it is gorgeous. Storyline a bit predictable but overall a great film. |
Step Up 4: Miami Heat (2012) - 6/10
Great dancing but storyline just lacked something, the first couple of films where better storylines but this was still good. 50/50 (2011) - 6/10 About a guy who was cancer and his life, it has funny bit and sad bit. one mintue I was crying the next I was laughing, I must say its a great film and a must watch. American Beauty (1999) - 4/10 I only watched this because my friend loves it and I wanted to see what the fuss it about. I must say it is the weirdest and creepest film I have seen, I was good but it went on for way to long and had bits in it that could of been cut out. Nina's Heavenly Delights (2006) - 6/10 A cute and funny story about true love and what it really takes to me yourself. Bridge to Terabithia (2007) - 6/10 Anazing film, great storyline and great acting. I had such a big grin on my face through this it shows how being yourself is how you find true friends and have the time of your life. The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012) - 8/10 I was not expexting this to be as good as it was but I would watch this film over and over again,it was just amazing. Getting Even with Dad (1994) - 4/10 It is one of those classic films i watched growing up and I still love it now, its just amazing. Hostel: Part II (2007) - 5/10 Kind of predictable for me because I love horrors, but I like the idea of the film and I never saw the first one so i had no idea what it was about. |
The hobbit part 1or an unexpected journey
5.5/10 This maybe beacuase I have been watching game of thrones to much or which is most likely reason it is like harry potter and the deathly hallows part 1 it's all bulid up for the second one but this is in three parts why? If you cut out the travelling and the some of the Shire scenes you could probably get it down to two parts. I enjoyed watching it for most part, I still do not like Bildo baggins, I like dwarves a little more in a fantasy sense or it is beacuase of game of thrones as I like the dwarf in that series and Thranduil is just as hot as I remeber. |
I can't wait to see The Hobbit! Hard to believe you rated it so low....I mean, the story is mostly description, so I wouldn't expect a lot, action-wise, anyway.
The Croods - 8/10 Very enjoyable! And very funny! Some touching moments but not overdone and what an amazing world! *Updated* I just saw the movie again. The term "heart warming" best describes it. I think many of the critics missed what the central theme of this story is: The father/daughter relationship with the underlying message of how to let go and take risks. They pulled off teenage moods perfectly in daughter Eep as well as a dad's confusion with his daughter's growing independence and how to still stay relevant when that happens. I love this movie! |

Also I have recently watched the entrie second series of game of thrones and I am not sure whether giving a rating for one part is a good idea as I want do it as a hole and here's the thing I do not think it's a good as LOTR in some areas like villains but Gollum is as epic as ever. There is only one dwarves I liked and that was Thorin. Maybe I should write a review of it. I am not going to see the croods as its not my type of film. |
The Perks of Being a Wallflower - 9/10 Doesn't exactly do the book justice (but what movie does?), but a fantastic movie non the less. Inspiring, amazing, and I'd watch it again, any time.

Twilight for adout ten mintues for most users know my love for twilight (small bit of scarcasim there) 0/10.
|
Oblivion 4/10 - Weird lame-ass plot despite the great music and visuals. A shame, really
|
Jurassic Park in Imax 3D - 10/10
Soooo good. Solid acting, script, directing, and the proper mix of animatronics & computer-generated imagery still makes this film seem ahead of its time. Add to that the immersive effect of quality 3D technology and you've got yourself a winner. Well worth the extra cash to see it in Imax! That first T-Rex scene is EPIC! If you liked the film before, this re-release will only bolster your love of the film. If it's still in theatres, I truly recommend revisiting Isla Nublar! "DINOSAURS RULED THE EARTH" *ROOOAAAR!!!* |
Gentlemen Broncos 9/10
An aspiring teenage writer who discovered his story has been stolen by a famous author. Totally weird and bizarre, but brilliant. |
Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Part 2.
10/10 Lovely ending to such a magical series. Ill miss it majorly. |
A film adaptation of cathrine cookson's cinder path
7/10 I love the film and I only watched the last half for I did not know that it was on. |
Backdoor Teen Mom -20/10
It's awkward and not hot at all. |
I am not going to write about each film because their are to many, so anything rated 5 or above i really enjoyed and worth watching, anything rated below was not very good.
Think Like A Man (2012) - 2/10 Parental Guidance (2012) - 6/10 Beautiful Creatures (2013) - 6/10 Movie 43 (2013) - 4/10 About Cherry (2012) - 5/10 The Apparition (2012) - 3/10 Love Is All You Need? (2013) - 7/10 Girls Against Boys (2012) - 5/10 Sinister (2012) - 1/10 Seeking a Friend for the End of the World (2012) - 5/10 21 & Over (2013) - 6/10 ParaNorman (2012) - 5/10 The Grudge (2004) - 3/10 Magic Mike (2012) - 3/10 Julie & Julia (2009) - 6/10 The Odd Life of Timothy Green (2012) - 6/10 |
Beatuitfal creatures 0/10 It is like twilight only without the sparkle vampies.
|
Gacy - Found on Netflix - Horror
4.5/10 -I really didnt like this movie, mostly because of the lack of structure. It skipped a lot of action. It bored me. |
Warm Bodies 8/10
Very Entertaining, romantic comedy...kind'a different for a zombie movie. |
Lady Death (a rare anime film)
5.5/10 I like anime and the story was okay though I wish that the villain was more interesting at times and the villain was cool. |
Star Trek Into Darkness - 7/10 = Exciting because they have the same wonderful cast, there are neat effects, and it's Star Trek! Points off for not enough story and too much action. They did a better job with the first one and totally had my attention. This time, I spaced in the middle of the film. Like I said, too much action. After repeated scenes of *kewr!* *shhooom shooom shoom* *Bawang!* etc....I just lose it and the story loses it for me.
|
Star Trek Int Darkness - 10/10 = I'm a Trekkie, why wouldn't I give this awesome move 10/10
|
Bonnie & Clyde 8/10
What a surprise of an old movie. If you like action this is definately worth checking out ![]() |
Seeking a friend for the End of the World 8/10
movie about the end of the world, got some laughs but it's not a comedy |
Killing Them Softly (2012) - Drama - 6/10
This is a strange film and not much happens. Some fools rob a mob run card game and then a hit man kills them. It takes place during the 2008 election and when the characters are transacting business in bars, Barack Obama is on tv in the background blathering away. At the end Brad Pitt delivers a rant about the USA and Thomas Jefferson ('a rich white snob who's sick of paying taxes to the Brits. So, yeah, he writes some lovely words and aroused the rabble and they went and died for those words while he sat back and drank his wine and fucked his slave girl.') An odd movie. |
Limitless 8/10
great movie and entertaining too,Where the heck can I get those transparent pills? |
Fast & Furious 6 (2013) - 5/10
Not as good as the other films kind of a let down. Texas Chainsaw 3D (2013) - 2/10 Really bit let down and the blood and gore was hardly anything and not very realistic. It was not scary at all. |
Django 8/10
great action, and 'the bag' scene had me on the floor with gut pains from laughing. |
Resident Evil Retribution- 0/10
Took a AAA series and pooped all over it. |
Zombieland: 8/10 - great and very funny movie. And Bill Murray, he is a genius
|
The movie adaption of going postal by terry prachett. 9/10
Awesome film and I love terry prachett's books also the film has two of my favorite characters lord Vetanari and Adora. |
The Impossible with Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts
The movie was based on a true story of the 2004 tsumani about one family's survival in Thailand. It was extremely intense & well acted though quite difficult to watch at times. I thought it was a very powerful, well done movie & would give it two thumbs up. |
Last three movies I watched:
Laura (1944) Gene Tierney, Clifton Webb, and Dana Andrews - 10/10 Full Metal Jacket (1987) Mathew Modine, Vincent D'Onfrio, and Adam Baldwin - 9/10 Serenity (2005) Nathan Fillion, Summer Glau, and Gina Torres - 10/10 It's expected that I'd score them highly; I wouldn't have bought the DVDs if I didn't f****** LOVE these movies. |
The Blue Lagoon (1980) - 8/10
Wee bit random with the different animal shots and excessive nude swimming but overall a great movie. |
Shadow of the Vampire(2000) - 8/10
I enjoyed this film - funny, creepy and well done in general. It's about (fictionally) the filming of Nosferatu. "F.W. Murnau: Why him, you monster? Why not the... script girl? Max Schreck: Oh. The script girl. I'll eat her later." |
Saw Snitch the other day. Good film. Intense, emotional, suspenseful. And it has Jon Bernthal in it, he plays an ex con, but a reformed one. I'm looking forward to seeing his new tv show LA Noir on TNT. The Rock kicked ass as usual, just on a more subdued level.
8/10 |
Tokyo Story - 10/10
I am speechless, right after watching It, The movie really touched me beyond words |
Identity Thief (2013) - 5/10
Was a good story-line but not as funny as I thought it would be and it went on for to long. Gangster Squad (2013) - 3/10 Went on forever the film did not need to be that long and it was very boring. Rio (2011) - 5/10 Was a funny sweet and cute film. Grown Ups (2010) - 5/10 Was a funny film and I can't wait to see the next one. |
Wreck-It-Ralph
10/10 I loved it, it was really cute and I just love the attention to detail (including the super cute end credits). The soundtrack is awesome. |
My son kind of thought that Wreck it Ralph should have won the ...whatever award it is for animation film...last year. He thought it was better than Brave. I can't say, I slept through Brave and have yet to see Wreck it Ralph, although the previews look really cute.
|
armageddon - 10/10
Massively underrated. Amazing story, amazing cast, awesome thrill factor, sad ending. Whats not to love? It should of been rated higher. Critics of the 90`s are fools. |
My little bro and I just watched Frankenweenie. It's such a cute movie, almost made me cry!
|
Oz the Great and Powerful: 5/10 - It was all right. It had some funny moments, but overall I probably won't watch it again, but it was worth seeing at least once.
Snitch: 7/10 - Dwayne Johnson should definitely stick to acting. The wrestling thing is just odd, but his movie acting is great. That and Shane (Jon Bernthal) was in it from The Walking Dead. It was a good movie. Escape from Planet Earth: 7/10 - It had more humorous moments that I thought it would and it was a pleasant surprise. Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters: 9/10 - I loved this movie. The makeup was fantastic and the storyline kept me involved. It reminded me of The Brother's Grimm, which I also took to. |
V for Vendetta: 9/10. It's been awhile since I've seen the movie, but after a rewatch it still makes an impact on me. "People shouldn't be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people."
|
The last movie I watched was The Hot Chick: 9/10- Its such a funny movie, awesome cast, heaps of funny moments, Rachel McAdams, Anna Faris and Rob Schneider are in it and they portray their roles extremely well.
|
Mazes and Monsters
This is a 90 minute movie that was made in the 90's to serve as a warning against the true satanic evils of Dungeons and Dragons. It's about this guy who meets a girl who plays Mazes and Monsters and this other guy who calls him Frileg at the end of the movie. And that guy is role playing a holy man and his actor is Tom Hanks before he was famous. I think he might be ashamed of being in this movie. Thumbs up and thumbs down at the same time. |
Today I got the new Oz The Great And Powerful movie on DVD. I saw it in the theater. I will say that it is a much better movie when you aren't watching it in a theater that smells like ass.
edit: Shoosh, I remember that movie. It was like a train wreck, where you didn't want to watch but couldn't look away. |
