J.D. & Lila - cafeteria
(((ooc: Past midnight, so now I can RP again.
![]() J.D. saw the expression on Lila's face as the boy moved out of their way, and simply shrugged his shoulders as if to say "I have no idea". He couldn't recall ever crossing paths with the guy before. But then again, some people learned from watching other people's mistakes. "I'm eating lunch with you, aren't I?" she replied to his question, as he followed her down the line. True enough, but J.D. still didn't quite know what to make of her. She drifted back and forth between seeming intimidated by him, and teasing him. It was confusing, to say the least. Maybe it was just a way to get on his good side, to spare herself any future disputes with him. Far less cunning schemes had been tried on him. But that smile... Warm and humorous. There was no way a smile like that was forced. "I wouldn't be standing here talking to you if I didn't want to be," she continued with a laugh. "I mean, I know we're not best friends but why would I rule out being around you? From what I can tell you're a secretively-nice guy, aside from the first-impressions you leave. I'd say that I'm not against it." As she looked at J.D., she saw him frown, most likely at the "secretively-nice guy" remark. But he didn't protest, nor did he bite her head off. The truth, however, was that said remark was only half of his reason for frowning. Her last sentence was the second half. While it hadn't been negative in any way really, it wasn't quite as positive as he'd hoped for. But he had to settle for it, he guessed. For now, at least. "Well...", he started saying, but was interrupted by a shriek, coming from one of the cheerleaders. He and Lila, along with the rest of the students in the cafeteria, watched in surprise as the episode between Omar, Stacie and Albie unfolded before their eyes. No one had ever done anything like it before, and J.D. couldn't help but to laugh. Yes, it was a simple and rather childish thing for Omar to do, but it was amusing nonetheless. "I need to come here more often", J.D. said. He usually didn't eat in the cafeteria, but had made an exception for Lila. "The food is crap, but the entertainment's excellent." |
Elsye
((I've been saving them, but also using them all each day. LadyAshe, would it be possible to either lift the limit or to double it?))
Elsye looked up from her food as Omar abrubtly stood and left with his tray of food. She watched, puzzled as he walked across the room. Then she spotted Stacie. Elsye sighed, another boy lost to the charm of that slut. She kept her eye on him, wondering if he'd be rejected. Elsye gasped in horror as he dumped the food over her head. Was he crazy? He was going to get himself killed! Elsye jumped to her feet, along with half the cafeteria. 'Stay out of it, don't associate yourself with him,' her conscience ordered her, 'It'll only bring trouble on you as well.' For once, Elsye ignored the nagging whispers and pushed her way through the crowd towards Omar. She reached the front of the crowd right as Stacie nailed him between the legs. She winced as he went down and Stacie and her possy flounced out of the cafeteria. Elsye touched Omar's arm as he moaned. "Are you alright?" she asked him, despite the obvious answer. By then the crowd had surrounded them, demanding to here the story being told again. She unconcously stepped behind him as Tanisha pushed her way through, making threats of her own. Strange, she didn't think Tanisha even liked Stacie. |

.:Naomi walked down the hall to where her and her cheerleader friends would usually meet. So far she was the only one there waiting for somebody to come. She pulled her cellphone out of her purse and texted Tom...hoping that maybe he would wanna hang out sometime.:.
"Hey Tom it's Naomi. What's up?" she pressed send and hoped that he would reply. While she was waiting a strange boy walked up to her. She could already tell that he was going to be no good, because well he looked like a total geek. He looked like he wanted to ask her something. Naomi didn't wanna budge, because she didn't want to miss the chance of haning out with her friends. The boy cautiously walked up to her with a grin on his face. She raised one eyebrow in curiosity. |
"Yeah" he said to Elsye, wincing slightly. "But that was perfect. You gotta love it"

J.D. and Lila
((ooc: darn! Didn't see your post before I left yesterday, Atropa. And since you're gone now, no rush to respond back. :] ))
Lila observed J.D.'s facial expressions as she spoke. He wavered between a most apathetic expression, to a slight frown which worried her. Her own brows furrowed and she felt herself replaying what she had just said to him in her mind. "What did I say? Did I insult him?" At a pause in their conversation when they both seemed to be recycling their own thoughts, J.D. began to speak. "Well..." he started coolly, but was quickly interrupted by a sound that nearly shattered the glass windows that lined the walls. Lila's head whipped into the direction of the noise, quickly locating the source-- a condiment-covered cheerleader. "Well damn," she murmured softly, eyes wide in amazement. The boy who had showered the cheerleader with food had just been kicked in the groin by said cheerleader after he threatened another boy. "I need to come here more often," J.D.'s voice pulled her gaze from the chaos that had filled the cafeteria. She raised her eyes to meet his as he continued. "The food is crap, but the entertainment's excellent." A laugh burst from Lila's lips but she quickly brought a hand to her mouth to silence herself. The last thing she needed was the horde of cheerleaders thinking she was laughing at them. Her eyes focused on the figures arguing not far from them, but she spoke quietly to J.D. under her breath. "Amen to that. That girl deserves an Oscar for that performance," she nodded seriously and grinned. "They act like monkeys. Flinging food at one another and bickering in shrill tones...it's kind of pathetic." |
Elsye
"But that was perfect. You gotta love it"
Elsye rolled her eyes. Push me. If you push me you will never put your hand on no one including yourself ever again." Tanisha threatend. "So push me!" "C'mon Omar, lets go." Elsye whispered, scared that he would try and fight this girl. Not that she thought he would loose, but for the fact that he would most likely be kicked out, "Shes not worth it, c'mon." |
He followed Elsye.
|
((could you make your posts a little long? Its kinda hard to respond when they are so short. Thanks :D))
Seeing that Omar was ready to leave the situation as well, Elsye led him down the hallway away from the cafeteria. She looked around, tying to decide where to go. The library was open during lunch, but if Tanisha followed and put up a fight there, they'd get in twice the trouble. The only other option she could think of was outside, not that that place sound very safe either. She bit her lip and pulled him out the door. Atleast they'd be less likely to be caught by a teacher outside. She pushed through the door, a hot gush of air stung her face as she laughed. "Do you always cause trouble?" |
"No, only when the person is an absolute bitch," he said, sitting down by the fountain. He leaned against it and closed his eyes.

J.D. & Lila - cafeteria
(((ooc: It's okay. There was a change of plans. I'm back early, and not working tomorrow, so... Now I have all the time in the world, all of a sudden.
![]() "Amen to that" Lila said after quickly stifling her laughter. "That girl deserves an Oscar for that performance. They act like monkeys. Flinging food at one another and bickering in shrill tones... it's kind of pathetic." J.D. glanced at her. He knew that his own actions weren't always so far from what they'd just witnessed, even though this comedy act was a bit over the top, even for him. Did she think the same thing about him, and the things he did? He knew she didn't like them, or consider them nice in any way, shape or form, but... Pathetic? That was a word that was hard to stomach. "Yeah...", he said slowly. Since the show was over, the line started progressing again, and J.D. and Lila along with it. Everywhere around them the kids were yapping about what had just happened, who that new kid was, and what was going to happen to him at the end of the day. J.D. however, had already lost interest. "Now I know why I never eat here", he muttered while studying the poor excuse for a pizza slice on his plate. |
Stacie[ girls locker room[
Stacie stalked into the girl's locker room with Albie and Lexa and instantly stripped down to her bra and thong. Her gorgeous cheerleading outfit was sodden and covered in all sauces imaginable, and several french fries were poking out of her underwear. Stacie felt like crying but managed to control herself at the knowelege that she'd just decked the guy who did this to her; and besides he'd never survive in this school now.
"Guys, help me!" she begged Albie and Lexa, sitting down on the floor in despair. |
((ooc: Yay! A good change of plans :] ))
"Yeah..." was the curt but drawn out reply of J.D. Why was it she was getting the feeling that every syllable that came out of her mouth managed to drag J.D.'s proverbial happiness meter down a notch? Lila studied him, eyes narrowed slightly and not attempting to cover her focus on him for the moment. "Yeah," she murmured in response, watching him as he continued down the line. A soft sigh slipped inaudibly through her lips and she attempted to brush the feeling away when J.D. spoke again. "Now I know why I never eat here," Disgust was written upon every inch of his face and it only made her relax again. Lila tilted her head to the side in curiosity and grabbed a small bottle of juice and a chicken sandwich. "Where do you eat then?" she asked with a puzzled look, turning the apple over in her hands. "Oh, and the food leaves a lot to be desired. Some of it doesn't really fit anywhere in the pyramid. I love these, however," with a grin she brought the apple to her mouth-- she took a bite and held it between her teeth while her one hand pointed at it and made a thumbs up, and the other hand grabbed her tray with her sandwich and juice. Lila turned quickly and spotted a table near the window. She jumped slightly and turned to nod to J.D., a grin spreading across her apple-holding lips. Once she was sure no one was sitting there she made her way over while trying not to bump into anyone. Placing her tray down softly she pulled the apple out of her mouth and finally sat down with a relaxed sigh. |
Where do you eat then?" Lila asked J.D., but continued before he had a chance to answer: "Oh, and the food leaves a lot to be desired. Some of it doesn't really fit anywhere in the pyramid. I love these, however."
She pointed at the apple she'd just bitten down on and did a thumbs up, at which J.D. had to smile. As she happily made her way over to the empty table, he shook his head slightly in disbelief that her perkiness actually appealed to him. Perky people usually made his fists itch. Slowly he sauntered after her, composed and nonchalant, unable and unwilling to drop his usual cocky, cool attitude. "I usually eat at Dave's", he replied to her question as he sat down across the table from her, referring to a burger place nearby. "If at all." |
((OOC: I feel so left out of this RP .
![]() .:Naomi walked into the locker room and saw Stacie almost in tears, because of what had happened in the lunch room. She walked up to her locker but was still curious about Stacie, she had missed the whole thing all because of that loser boy who walked up to her, just to ask her about where the "Science club" was...to hell if Naomi knew where any science or nerd herd club was located. She yanked open her locker and slid her pants of; then replacing them with her cheerleading skirt. She pulled her shirt over her head and put her cheerleading top on and gradually walked over to Stacie.:. "So have you found any hotties for me yet." she grinned hoping that she would get the answer she wanted. Naomi helped pull a fry out of her now sauce covered hair. |
I helped Stacie pick all the fries off herself. I was shaking my head. what a loser.
"Guys, help me!" she begged, sitting on the floor looking remarkably upset. I helped her get up. "I swear Im gonna kick that guys ass the next chance I get." I gumbled, just as I saw Naomi walk in. It was pissing me off to see my best friend so upset. "Hes not even gonna see it coming." ((umm yeah. quick one before I leave for a week lol. Havent posted a rp here in a while:D)) |
Elsye
"No, only when the person is an absolute bitch,"
Elsye sank down beside Omar, hugging her legs to her chest. She looked over at him, wondering if he had any idea what he had just started. She rested her chin on her knees. She stared straight ahead silently, waiting for him to speak. |
Lila was relieved to see J.D. follow her over to the table. He slid into the seat across from her with ease and responded to her question. "I usually eat at Dave's. If at all."
Another bite from the apple and her head tilted slightly again. Swallowing her mouthful of fruit she gazed out the window behind his head, a soft expression settling upon her features. "Are we allowed off campus for lunch? I mean, I certainly can't blame you--Dave's is probably lightyears better than this place," she waved a hand through the air as she sipped her juice. She eyed him with concern for a moment when the final part of his statement ran through her head. "Y'know," she began, setting the juice down and resting her chin in her hands. "Skipping meals can lead to low blood sugar. It also sometimes causes sudden hunger pangs which can prompt bingeing or food cravings. I've also read that it can cause weight gain due to the over-eating that comes as a result," she nodded and grinned as she continued to cradle her chin in her hands. |
J.D. & Lila - cafeteria
"Y'know," Lila said, looking at him with concern. "Skipping meals can lead to low blood sugar. It also sometimes causes sudden hunger pangs which can prompt bingeing or food cravings. I've also read that it can cause weight gain due to the over-eating that comes as a result."
J.D. just stared at her, as if trying to understand what she'd just said. He hadn't been prepared for another exposition, he'd just been making conversation. He blinked a few times, trying to think of what to say, but when nothing came to him, he simply ended up with: "Shut up...". They were only two words and yet they managed to mirror his feelings perfectly; he was uncertain about what exactly to feel. "It's not like I'm starving myself or some crazy sh*t" he added upon regaining his cool. "Just.. Places to go and people to see, and all that crap." He glanced around the cafeteria with disdain in his eyes, giving her the impression that whoever these "people" he spoke of were, they were not the students at this school. "And yeah, the principal gets his panties in a twist if we go off campus" he said, looking back at her. "So what?" |
"Shut up..."
Well, that was unexpected. Lila blinked several times, her expression blank with surprise. Her mouth quickly snapped closed and she bit her lip, shutting up as he had commanded. It was more out of reflex than any power that J.D. personally commanded. It was her father who had taught her that when he told her to be quiet, she was. Her eyes dropped away from him and down to her food, then quickly back out the window. She watched the trees sway gently behind J.D.'s head and counted the leaves that she saw drifting down to the ground. "It's not like I'm starving myself or some crazy sh*t. Just...places to go and people to see, and all that crap." She nodded, one corner of her mouth curving into a faint smile. "Sorry," she began, scratching the back of her head. "My dad's a doctor. He unloads that kind of stuff on me all the time. You know, if I skip a meal, he chews me out by giving me the medical diagnosis for complications that result..." Lila rolled her shoulders and focused on the dilapidated ceiling tiles that hung overhead. "And yeah, the principal gets his panties in a twist if we go off campus," J.D. added, looking back at her. "So what?" Lila shrugged and her shoulders slackened. "So..." she trailed off, still focused on the foamy-white tiles above her head. "You obviously don't care about the principal's panties very much." A grin filtered across her expression once more, but she quickly covered it by taking another bite of her apple. |
Noticing how quiet Lila became, J.D. could've kicked himself. He hadn't meant it like that, but he hadn't known what else to say. The people he usually hung out with didn't talk like her.
She didn't open her mouth alot, but when she did, the things she said had some actual substance. Well, most of the time. He didn't really see the point in what she had just said, about food and eating, but he was sure she knew what she was talking about. It was just that... J.D. wasn't too fascinated by the effects of eating. Or not eating. Feeling a bit uncomfortable, not knowing how to smooth things over, he nervously moistened his lips and scratched his neck, trying to think of something to say. "So...". Lila spoke again, sounding a bit distant. "You obviously don't care about the principal's panties very much." J.D. looked up, surprise in his eyes. Then a smile curled his lips. "That's one way of putting it, I guess", he said, while ridding the pizza slice of the excess cheese with his fork. Yeah, he liked his pizza cheesy, but this was ridiculous. "So... uhmm..." he tried to continue, and went with the first thing that came to mind: "What do you do when you don't tell people off? Besides stare out the window?" |

"Well that was a real eventful lunch break don't you think?" he asked with a quiet laugh, meaning the thing with Essa and what Omar did. He took a deep breath of fresh air and looked into her eyes. |
