The areas surrounding those two rooms never illuminate. I imagine the idea is to set off the rooms dramatically, with a supernatural/outside the laws of Sims physics effect (though I don't recall that the treasure recovered from either room merited additional drama).

So I have a sim in law enforcement. He has the trait "can apprehend burglar." Yet when one broke into his home and he won the fight with her, he had no special options. I even had him call and invite her over, the option never showed. What does this trait actually mean? :/

Does anyone know where I can find some tutorials on converting Sims 2 stuff into something that will work with Sims 3? I realize it's probably a painful and complicated process, but goshdarnit, the only reason I'm playing Sims 2 now is because my Transformer sim is there. If I could convert those meshes, then I could watch my darling Decepticon go jogging. It would be awesome. I would totally work for that. :C
(Also there's a few hairstyles I'd really like to convert, too. That's probably more doable.) So uh. Anybody know some good tutorials, please? |

Nothing, outside of getting an increased chance to win fights with burgalars. I've never had my sim take them in the patrol car themselves, it's always another police officer that does it. |
Im pretty sure my policeman sim walked over to the burglar, didnt even FIGHT, and took them into the station.

Ok, so, after installing AwesomeMod, I got this trait I've never seen before:
![]() "Tarda" is the italian adjective for 'obtuse'. In CAS I get the description of the trait in my language, while in game it's in English. Anyway, I've never heard of this trait before. Is that a feature by AwesomeMod or is just my game which is crazy? ![]() |
It's a trait added by awesomemod. "stupid".

Chronicle - I have a tutorial on converting hair, and there's some discussion on body meshing in the Create section too - but converting body meshes is -VERY- complicated (as is hair). It's doable, just.... man, I hate doing it, and I'm masochistic as modders go.
|
Okay, thanks for the directions and the advice. (: I'll have a look at the tutorials and discussions, and see how long it takes for my brain to explode, ha ha.
|
Oy. I wonder why none of mine do. I switched over to play the Goddard family for a bit and they got a burglar there the same day. Hank fought the dude (as did his wife!) -- and then the burglar ran off.

I don't understand about the job branches, if you're on level 5 and going to to level 6 of the job, will you get an option of which path you want to choose or the computer automatically chooses the branch for you?
|
Vhanster, you get to choose.

it didnt work for me
i went to the create thing, i understand it, but it doesn't work on my computer. i wanted to create a hairstyle so i'm asking if anyone else would like to. all i would like is tto have two sort of small braids to the back and then the rest you may do what you would like, maybe a ponytail? I once saw this on my friend, and thought it was really cute. I'm in dance and for a hairstyle once they had us do like a bump kind of thing. we would pull up some of the front of our hair and bobby pin it to about the crown, enough so that you could stick 2 fingers through the hole. thanks

My stupid question of the day:
Where did the forum search button go? Or did I imagine it was ever there.... |
Searching has been turned off for testing stuff or something. So half the search options are disabled, including searching specific forums, because that's "advanced search" (if you click search at the top, you can see advanced doesnt work)

lol thanks. I thought I was losing it.

I wanted to know if anyone's figured how to make a mall/shopping center where your sims can buy clothes I just realized that I can't shop for more clothes and there is nothing on my sims computer to let you shop. If anyone has suggestions I'd appreciate it I just had 4 sims mature and I hate the random outfits they put on them.
|
You don't need to buy clothes in Sims3. Just take them to any dresser and select 'Plan Outfit'.
|
Stupid question of the day: how you make a lot have more than 8 sims?
|
Find and use a mod which allows it. like SuperComputer or Awesome Mod.
