The buzzing from my cellphone broke me from my trance as I walked down the hall. Pulling the thing from my purse, I ducked out of sight of a nearby teacher and read the message.
hi guys. it’s Stacie! just wanted u 2 no i’m at the football field. u should stop by!
I wrote a quick reply and snapped the phone shut, turning around and heading for the field.

Stacie flirted some more with the jocks on the field, suddenly feeling herself being lifted in the air as a few of them picked her up. She squealed and attempted to hold down her skirt as the burly jock slung her over his shoulder and whirled her around, her hair flying around madly. Just as he stopped and was about to put her down, she saw a new guy walking into the high school: he had dark hair and from the heavy book bag he carried he looked like an achiever; a fit achiever - you didn't see many of those and Stacie was interested: very interested.

"Stop it!" she squealed and began giggling as the jock dropped her flat on the grass, landing smack on her bum, "oww!" she complained jokingly as another helped her up.

"Stac babe you're cell's vibrating," one of the jocks said, handing her the pink cell phone.

It was from Lexa and she was on her way! Just as she chucked her cell to the ground over by her shirt she turned and saw Lexa herself approaching.

"Two fit babes together!" a jock joked as Lexa walked onto the field, her high heels sticking into the mud.

Stacie laughed and ran over to her best friend and gave her a hug around the waist.

I may be able to enter in this roleplay, but it may be too much because I may be gone for a week without internet connection. If I was going to enter in this competition, would I be able to be in the normal category, or would I have to be in the another category that he spots still open?

Since it is freeform, I think anyone can join now, for any category... maybe PM Lady Ashe, I don't know how often she checks this rp.

I think that since it's now freeform, you can be anything you want. Plus, it'd be cool to have some more categories. Like, where are the goths?
(But again, it's up to LadyAshe)

Essa| Thanks Sis| Day One
 

Next thing Essa knew was a red haired girl tripping over the other boy. He looked around him and noticed people staring at the incident. This was not how he wanted to start his day.

“Who are you?” The raven haired boy asked.

It took Essa a few moments to process what the boy said, but when he did he quickly remembered about his lost time table. “Timetable!” he shirked

“Timetable? Were your parents drunk when they named you or did they have a strange sense of humor?” The boy asked smirking at the look on Essa’s face.

“Tsk, tsk, tsk. I can’t leave you one minute without creating a mess of everything.” The voice of Essa’s sister smugly stated. “You forgot your timetable Essa, in my car…again.” She said handing him the piece of paper, that started this whole mess.

“Thanks.” He mumbled, blushing lightly

“Well aren’t you going to introduce me to your friends?” She asked her brother.

“Er…this is…” Essa stood there, saying nothing.

Georgina shoved her locker shut, carefully snapping the lock in place. She figured she still had some time before class, and would be able to pop over to her office to go over some of the submissions for the paper. She really wanted the first edition of the year to be great, and was glad that she had what promised to be some great people this year.

She pulled her bag up onto her shoulders and started walking down the hallway.

Sophia
 

Sophia woke up from the screams of her mother. "Sophia, hurry, you're late!"
"Late? Late? The alarm clock hasn't even rang yet" she thought confused and then took a look at the clock. "Oh no!" and she suddenly was awake.
There was no way she'd make it to school on time if she did her usual morning routine ...

The girl quickly changed into some clothes she found on the floor, grabbed a bread roll and with a quick "Bye"! to her mother, she stormed out of the house. Luckily she didn't live to far away from the school.

"5 minutes left" she thought when she entered the school building, still out of breath.
"Do I have my notepad with me?!" Sophia asked herself and took a look in her bag while she was still working.

Suddenly she found herself lying on the floor. "What ...?! Oh, I am sorry!" she said to the dark-haired boy she had just bumped into. "Didn't see you"
But there was also Essa, sitting on the floor as well. Sophia couldn't help and she started to laugh.
"Ths is going to be a weird day!"
The other boy apologized himself as well and helped her up.
"Who are you exactly?" he asked her and Essa and after Essa's sister turnd up, the girl replied "Uhm, I am Sophia, from the school paper," still grinning. She was just about to ask him his name when another boy almost tripped over them and "Thanks for not taking up the entire hallway." in a very arrogant voice.

"What an idiot," Sophia said quietly.
Turning back to the boy she tripped over, she said "So you are?!"

Albie Laroque [Littering the Hallway]
 

It was a jumbled mass of chaos, rolled into a set of three kids and an approaching sister clutching a timetable in her hands. Albie stood quietly to the side, trying his best to figure out his predicament. Did he want to be seen associating with these kids? He knew there was a strong possibility they were nerds, or...they could be achievers…And he could always come up with some excuse later if it became a problem. So, he smiled when Essa’s sister asked them who they were, and tried to appear blithe as the girl informed them that her name was Sophie.

“I’m Albie. Albie Laroque,” he informed all of them. “I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cause such a chaotic mess." He smiled, his festering anger not showing through. "So um..." he felt really awkward around these people. He didn't know them, didn't know what they liked to do, so how was he supposed to make conversation? They were from two different worlds. He rarely associated with people who weren't preps or jocks.

OOC: No, no. I know that. :] Heehee, sorry Black_Barook, I just poorly worded that sentence:

I just meant that he was pretending to be cheerful and all buddy buddy when Essa's sister asked that, and he was smiling whilst Sophie replied.

What I should have said was:

So, he smiled when Essa's sister asked to be introduced to them, and forced himself to appear blithe as the redheaded girl replied, telling them her name was Sophie.

...or something like that.

J.D. - science class
 

A few seconds before the bell rang, announcing the start of yet another school day, J.D. made his way into science class. Stopping right by the door, he took a quick look around the room, in search of someone who'd seem like a good choice to partner up with. He'd need someone who could do most of the work, and thus help him get a passing grade. The lab partner he'd had before - a scrawny little boy with huge glasses and an acne problem - had apparently moved away from town during the summer. Or so he'd heard. And so he would have to find someone else whose coattails he could ride.

After hesitating ever so briefly, J.D. finally headed over to a seat near the back, next to a girl who looked like she was likely to do well in school.
"Hey", he said casually without really making eye contact, and plopped down on the seat beside her.
With a big yawn he then slumped over the desk, resting his head on his arms.
Man, he was tired.

(((ooc: Any nerd, achiever or normie, feel free to be the girl. Sorry to exclude the preps and the jocks, but J.D. would rather die than sit with any of them. )))

"Hey", a boy said casually without really making eye contact, and plopped down on the seat beside her.

"Hi," Elsye replied giving him a quick smile. Inwardly, she cringed, great another freeloader! She looked around the room, wondering how rude it would be if she moved. Unfortunately the room was quickly filling up. Looked like she was stuck with a slacker for another semester. Elsye sighed as she pulled out her notebook and pencil. There was always hope, right? He could turn out to be a descent partner. She glance over at the boy's slumped body, he looked as if he was already asleep. She narrowed her eyes, a plan slowly forming in her mind.
"Hey, you any good in this? All this science nonsense doesn't make any sense to me. I don't know what I was thinking signing up for this!" There, that should scare him away.

((Elsye is a normie, but a smart one!))

"Hey, you any good in this?" the girl next to him said, seemingly completely oblivious to the fact that he was trying to get some sleep. "All this science nonsense doesn't make any sense to me. I don't know what I was thinking signing up for this!"

That last part made J.D.'s eyes fly open, and he lifted his head to look at her. She had to be kidding! Wouldn't that be just perfect, teaming up with someone who knew just as little as he did about science?

"Uhhh...", he started, his eyes narrowing as he gave her a closer inspection.

She couldn't possibly be serious, could she? Heck, she looked really smart. But then again, so did anyone not wearing a cheerleading outfit or a jock strap.
Still... She really did look like someone who knew what they were doing.

"Well...", he said, the corner of his mouth curling with an ironic smile. "I'm pretty good at causing things to explode, but other than that..."

Naomi had some things to do before class was about to start so Jamison went into the room alone and sat down at one of the free seats, waiting for her.
He looked around and sighed, he wished the day would be over already!
The other students looked like they felt the same way, so he leaned back on his chair and waited for something to happen...

Explosions...great, that would be helpful. Think quick, think quick, think quick! she ordered herself, but her mind was blank.
"Explosions are good, I guess. I mean if you can memorize the elements needed to cause an explosion, surely you can memorize what is needed for the other expiraments this class requires." she winced that sounded harsh, "Not that you would try and slack off and let me do the work or anything..."

I'm such a failure! D': Haha, Gerbera, I'm sorry. I was so rushed this morning, I had to get to a movie at 2:45 and ended up waking up close to 12... But I wanted to squeeze in a quick post. My apologies!]

"Explosions are good, I guess", the girl said, although looking a little bit panicked. "I mean if you can memorize the elements needed to cause an explosion, surely you can memorize what is needed for the other experiments this class requires. Not that you would try and slack off and let me do the work or anything..."

Again, J.D'.s eyes narrowed suspiciously. She sure didn't sound like she knew nothing about science.
He decided to call her on it.

"Well, being as eloquent as you are, it sure is funny that you're a complete airhead when it comes to science," he said, studying her face to see how she'd handle that remark. "And, if you don't know bugger all about it, why would I trust you to do the work? My grades are bad enough as it is."

Essa| Hallway| Cooking?
 

Essa let out a deep sigh. “Oh God, first class is Chemistry. I hate chemistry.”

“Oh. I thought you like Chemistry?” His older sister cooed.”

“Ack, no! What made you think that God awful thought?”

“Well you do enjoy cooking…” At this moment, Essa’s complexion turned a few shades lighter. “You know you always cook for us and cooking is basically Chemistry at work.”

“Shut up, shut up, shut up!” Essa yelled at his sister as he pushed her through the hallway to the school doors.

“Hey! What gives?” She said “You still haven’t introduced me to your friends yet.”

“That’s because they’re not my friends and I’ve had enough embarrassment to last me a year!”

“But I was going to invite them to dinner next week for…” But Essa’s sister was unable to finish as her brother slammed the door in her face. He looked back at his watch. “Moses, Jesus, Mohammed! I’m late to class! Again!”

And with that Essa ran to his Chemistry class, a few minutes late.

The school bell rang when Naomi and Jamison were sitting in the courtyard. She gave him one last kiss and ran off, looking back she told him where she was going.

"I have to go and do a few things before class starts, save me a seat!" she blew him a kiss and continued to run towards her locker.

When Naomi reached her locker she twisted in the combo and swung it open. The aroma of Roses instantly flew into her face and she got the feeling of being in love again. She smiled for a quick second and grabbed her purse and pulled out her cellphone. Naomi furiously looked through her contact list until she found her mom's cellphone number. She pushed talked and waited for an answer.

"Hello?" Naomi's mother's voice chimed out on the other end.
"Mom I have somebody coming over after school, make sure Sarah is ready." Naomi wanted the conversation to go by fast, so she wouldn't be to late to class.
"Why does she have to be ready?" her mother sounded very confused.
"Because I want my friend to meet her...I erm...told him about her and who she really is." Naomi was nervous about what her mother was going to say to this.
"Why did you do that! Naomi i hope this wasn't a mistake."In the background you could hear her mother's boss yelling. "Naomi I'll have her ready and everything, but i have to go for now." Naomi's phone light up and showed the "Call ended" sign. She slipped her cellphone into her purse and ran to her class.

When she arrived she saw that Jamison had saved her a seat, with a smile on her face she sat next to him.

"Hey babe." She prepared for a long boring class, but at least she had Jamison by her side.
