I can also confirm that my self-sim is now a level 2 celeb thanks to simply completing painting opportunities. This was before Showtime had been released.

Is there a way to copy one sim's appearance onto another?
I have two different saves of the same family (one mostly for staging pictures and such, one for actually playing the game). I gave someone a makeover in one save, and I'm wondering how I can apply the same makeover to her in the other save. I can think of two ways that might work; 1) Made-over sim is copied into my library, so I could delete the "original" and insert the copy in her place, using MC to re-create the family ties and such, or 2) Export the made-over version to the sim bin, and use MC to edit the "original" in CAS then select the madeover version from the bin. I'm just wondering if there's something much easier that I'm overlooking.. and I'm kind of hesitant to use either of those ideas because they both sound, umm.. dangerous somehow, like I'm just asking for something to go wrong and cause my save to blow up ![]() |

AFAIK this doesn't work unless you use MasterController's Advanced options or the "bodysnatch" command of AwesomeMod.

Is it? I can only burgle a place so many ti times before it's picked clean. Seems to me things should be respawning not just so my kleptos can steal it again but so those unfortunate victims don't have to live in an empty house. But more importantly I want back the ability to take things from community lots. That was patched out... xD

When was that patched out? A few weeks ago my klepto Sim stole some light fixtures from the Lunar Lakes science center. That was with 1.33 and AwesomeMod. It might of course be AwesomeMod's doing because the light had respawned, too.

According to what I can dig up, it was a patch that came with WA that altered that. Stealing things that are outside on community lots is still possible. But prior to that we were able to steal pretty much anything.. inside or out. Including the major statues, flagpoles, various other items that are now off limits. I'm not sure if awesomemod undoes this or not.. I'm still willfully stuck in the past at 1.29, however, so perhaps the community would test that for me.
Edit: Hunting up a wiki page, apparently, Klepto-ing is fixed via awesomemod. Well, now, it appears that it might be a good time to patch. Seeing as how trying to keep too many twallan mods on at once has made my game fubar. -hyperventilates- Okay, I'm gonna do it. But I don't have to like it. I'm hoping this will fix the problem.. I need a hug. ![]() |

And is there a way to un-become a celebrity? |
The only way I know of is by using Twallan's MasterController Cheats. Adjusting skill levels are in the Advanced section and celebrity level is in the Intermediate section.

![]() My MasterController doesn't have such options... Advanced section only have "Edit in CAS", "Force Kill" and "Reset Sim" (which doesn't reset skills). And my Sim is already a celebrity, so the Harder Celebrity Mod isn't helping much. |

There are no add-ons to DebugEnabler. The option is called Sculpturify.

Does anyone know if 'Organic' versions of the meals count for the 'Perfect Chef' achievement? I thought they would, and am pretty positive I have completed it, but I've not been notified of its completion, or received the badge for it. I'm getting annoyed that I'll be doing it again.

I haven't been playing for a while, and just patched last weekend to 1.34. I haven't done 1.36 yet. My question is if anyone else has had an invisible sim who didn't have a plumbob? It happened to the tattoo guy in my game - he became completely invisible but still could do a tattoo and townies could speak to him and you could see his speech and thought bubbles. You couldn't click on him. 'Fix invisible sims' in Debug Enabler didn't make him visible. So I annihilated him. Just wondering.

I think the alien in the tube is an object from PandoraSims, a crappy site with porn stuff. The other items in the back of the room should be from there too. The rest in the front side of the room is buydebug stuff & LT rewards.

I think the alien stuff is actually a prop from buydebug. It came with Late Night and is one of the movie sets. It's actually quite huge, the alien in the tube, the control panel and the lab table with that ray thingy are all one object.
The rest are the fishtank from HELS, one from the store (Futureshock), the chemistry table from GEN, PETS terrariums, two more items from the Futureshock store sets, a buydebug junkpile and the drafting table and inventor bench from AMB, and some inventions you can create on that bench, including the time machine in the back on the left. |
So Pandora is selling Buydebug things. Huh color me NOT surprised. Anyway, hmmm What's missing from the pic... The ant farm is from Pets, the gray box near it is the Pets LT reward pets cleaning machine. Videogame from the Store Futureshock sets. The ceiling lamp is either LN or SHT (can never remember). Rocket lamp from GEN.

Is it possible to completely delete/remove sims3pack cc without reinstalling my game?
I wasn't paying attention and installed a couple of lots that apparently came with a slew of cc and now I have all this unwanted crud just lurking about my hard drive. I've tried to delete them via the Launcher but none of the individual objects (furniture) showed up on it, just the lots which I have deleted as best I can. |
If you still have the Sim3Packs around that you want to have in game, you can delete the contents of the DCCache folder, which contains a group of .dbc/ebc files that are the combined contents of ALL the S3Ps you installed. Delete the contents of the DCBackup as well. Now, just reinstall the S3Ps you actually want through the launcher (or CCMagic if you use it, or want to start using it), and you're all set. Make sure you clean out the library of any lots and sims you might have customized with any of the content from the now unavailable S3P lots you will not reinstall.
This only works, of course, if you still have all the S3Ps archived away somewhere to reinstall the content you want. Otherwise, you can still get rid of all the custom S3P content you have by deleting those files mentioned above without reinstalling the game, but without, obviously, S3P content. Note that this method does not affect any content you installed as package files in the mods/packages folder (if you have any). |
Just wondering, but is it possible to remove a Sim's 'career clothing'? I don't like the career clothing the game likes to assign my Sims.

Are you talking about the BBS badges you can get for your personal page and avatar? Then you should ask there lol. Don't hold your breath for an answer, there are a LOT of badges problem.

If you're talking about the painting on the wall? It's perhaps not quite crashing in colors. I would think it's kind of Egypt on a wall in deep Connecticut somewhere. You have a teenager living there? Well I would get rid of it. Even if it's not quite crashing, it's not doing the interior any good and looking out of place.
With your art degree probably having such a thing on the wall would not be good if you can't blame the teenager. |
So any idea why I wouldn't be able to install store content now that I've patched my game up to 1.36 (and installed the store content patch thing)? It keeps telling me my software isn't up to date. Do Lunar Lakes and Lucky Palms require stuff packs, of which I have none? I'm so confused.

Try the Patch Downloader from the downloads section. It usually does a much more thorough job than the Launcher does.

I was thinking of building a restaurant/bar type community lot, but I realised from when I have made a couple before that when you place the food registers and then take a sim to visit the lot, only certain (seemingly random) meals ever seem to be available. Is there any way to change and select which meals are available from these registers at each specific placement? Because I wouldn't want to go and build a high class restaurant and then have everyone eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, if you see what I mean...

My problem is an odd one. I noticed the front door of my sim's apartment building was littered with the same book. By chance, my sim was outside picking up one book when another sim came by and drop it. Is there a way to fix this problem?

My turn to ask a question instead of answer one.
If I set a community lot as a Coffee House and set it up with a stage, will it still behave correctly if I put Hogan's Deep Fry Diner on the lot instead of the official coffeehouse? I'm asking because this is what I have done and I have just come from playing the game where a SimPort Sim was sent to perform at my coffeehouse. He arrived and performed BUT my Sim could not watch the show; it just dropped from the que after being selected. |

When testing a world for someone we kept seeing the book litter and it turned out that sims were not able to enter the apartment. Send a sim there and see if the front door or the elevators needs to be replaced. If those are working fine, then check to see if the NPC doors work.

Ha, I always tend to forget about the World Editor because I hardly use it - trees look so off when placed from within it - but no, the rocks are there under Landmarks but I couldn't find the bones. And they are neither in buydebug nor community objects, while that covered wagon can be found thrice.

My sims keep rolling the "meet a vampire" want.. though half of them ARE vampires themselves and the other half live with vamps / roll the want while interacting with one.

Is there any way to quickly create a "clean" default pudding face Sim? With clean I mean a Sim with no career or special outfits attached.

My butler has disappeared but is still charging me weekly, and I can't fire her because I apparently have to do it in person. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I'm playing Lucky Palms right now and does anyone know if the food truck can appear there or is it exclusive to Bridgeport?? I see the ice cream truck around town now and then and am just wondering where the food truck is. What's necessary for the food truck to appear??

I've made a "Dance Club", zoned as such, which I built in Bridgeport. But when I've saved a copy to my lot bin and tried to place it in any other world than Bridgeport, even when the intended lot is zoned as a Dance Club, the option of placing it there just disappears. I can't work out why?

The patriarch of the Alehaster clan in my game just died. I got a notification saying he is dead...but that's it! Geeze, aren't the rest of the family supposed to mourn? They don't even seem to realise he's gone. There's no option to have a funeral. Is it because he wasn't in the active household when he died? His tombstone was at the graveyard, so I went and placed it in a Sim's inventory and tried to have a funeral but the option would not show up so I had all the relevant Sims go "mourn" his grave. And shouldn't his funds have been distributed among his relations, at least? What's going on here?

Why does glitched custom content (like the shirt that makes babies have long fingers) appear in the game when the sim you downloaded on the exchange wasn't even wearing it?
