Probably because sims leave dirty plates all around and they go off.

It's not a maxis light but a CC light that looks similar. I'll chage it to the maxis one cause it's annoying and I thought it had to do with the angle. As far as I know sims go home when their mood is bad and they can't fix it on that lot, plus I added AL vending machines if they're starving. It's also ment to be a lower income low funded part where they don't have a lot of "socialist community" stuff

It's very busy and you can't quite see what's going on but it's done on purpose. I love it.
I had gone hunting down cute CC in order to make this, which was worth it. You can see Mr. Rod Humble in one of the screenshots, sorry about that.

This by far has been the hardest bedroom decorating because how specific it was. I'm usually a beige with an accent type of person but now I decided to go out of my comfort zone. I have a alternative couple and wanted a gothic bedroom for them. I didn't want to look like as if vampires live there, nor to be too granny-ish, nor too Victorian, nor to look like they're filthy rich cause they're almost broke. I wanted something that looks like they shop in antique stores, cozy and romantic. I looked up something on Pinterest and my choice for dark patterns was scarce and I have way too much grandma patterns. I primarily wanted a dark green aesthetic but I didn't have enough material for that. Oh well, this lilac/brownish satin is also beautiful. Still love your stuff Droopsi! Hopefully I won't have to do it again.

I recently found out about the Palast der Republik in Berlin and I immediately knew I had to build something inspired by it. I don't know what this will be, it has absolutely nothing inside it yet, but the shell is done. And it already costs upwards of 230k.

Ooh, I like that. It could be a great modern art gallery, or you could just pretend it is an office and keep it as hood deco.

Back to me acting like an interior designer...
This is a ground floor of the Wan house in Riverblossom Hills. I absolutely love this how and how flexible it is for decorating. It's big enough for a proper furnishing but small enough to look cozy.

+bonus the couple living there. It was the guy's hard earned money for being a honor student at college and quickly climbing to lvl 8 at the Business career.

May I ask where can I find that kitchen set? And the windows, too.

I got both of the windows from a lot and went to download the rest of the set so I don't remember the names. What I do remember is that the house was the Jodelie Jodelie version of the Wan house where the kitchen windows are included.

As for the rest of the furniture, I managed to find the couch set https://sims2artists.com/index.php?topic=5620.0 . As for the rest, look up Pixelry (recovered downloads too), Fake Blood and Kacicka, those are my go to creators for this kind of modern brown style, then you'll end up in a rabbit hole of similar smaller creators.

I have a lot of unposted interiors of house from MTS and grungy builds but I've moved on from that. I tried to post my stuff here but I had problems with the mods. Apparently they tell me to include every single object and recolor in the description which, just by looking at the picture, would've been a hassle to write down.

You only need to include custom objects/recolours, not Maxis. It's to both credit the creators and to give downloaders somewhere to go if the item has problems in their game. Or, if the item doesn't package with the lot then people need to know where to get it from.

That would be easy if my builds weren't absolutely crammed with CC, just look at my last picture, and that's only the ground floor. That's probably the reason why MTS usually has CC free lots or with very little CC, but I respect how MTS stuff feels the safest for downloading. I'll try my best next time.

I think it's mostly because MTS wants proper respect to be given to creator policies, and they want the person who made the wallpaper to get some credit along with the person who made the house.

Personally, I would much prefer downloading lots that have minimal CC (maybe one or two bits that were chosen especially, or perhaps pieces made specifically for the lot). That way I can tailor the lot to my sim or world without having to add too much CC to my game just to make it work. I do like it when creators show images of how you could decorate the lot, as well as recommended CC... also I love to see people's CC-full lots in these forums so that I can get ideas and discover new CC!

I need a new house for Jessica Peterson after she has turned rich. My idea was to get her to live on Audrey Avenue (the road with all the expensive houses where the deBateaus live), but despite liking 400 Audrey Avenue I wasn't convinced it was the right fit for her. Zarathustra's amazing Schinasi Mansion would be great, unfortunately it's much too expensive for Jessica Peterson despite all her newly-found cash. Then I attempted to remodel 43 Cypress Drive from Arbor Falls such that it would fit in with the other houses there since in a vacuum that lot is perfect for what I'm trying to achieve, but I failed miserably with my makeover. I haven't given up on that project yet, I will return, but I need a clear head and lots of time. In the meantime, I quickly remodeled another one of Arbor Falls's lots, this time 4 Scots Pine Street. Here's what I got, would it fit within Audrey Avenue or does it still look out of place since it's still the same shell?

I did say I would go back to 43 Cypress Drive and try again. It's almost ready for Jessica Peterson to move in, I just need a bit of housekeeping with familyfunds. It's only very lightly furnished with the essentials, Jessica Peterson may have got a huge bonus but not huge enough to buy a house this big and fully decorated in total luxury, actually furnishing it will be a long process.

I might make a complete version of this lot just for fun if I feel like it. There are so many possibilities especially with the annex at the back, it could be a separate apartment, a conservatory, some sort of arts room. I've also cleared out a hole in the foundation in case I ever want to add a basement in the future, and it also comes with the added bonus of lowering the price a bit.

And as I post this, I notice I missed a section of white half-walls when I was changing them to black...
