Tinkering with a few baby meshes again, adding some new details:
(still have to tinker a bi with the texture and bone assignments on this one - it's a verison of the pants below) And just for fun I borrowed and tinkered a little bit with Charity's Victorian AAS conversions, since the top and frilled pants are absolutely adorable: Still have a lot of work left on these, as there's just the meshes for now, which may need some more tinkering. |
I love those baby clothes!
|
Another project - hands with actual fingers (I'm tired of the webbed ones) and a 3D navel for the babies. Still not sure if the hands will work as intended (babies lack a lot of bones in the hands, so may need some more adjustments), but I think it will. Currently, the hands do kind of work with the original UVmap (not the thumbs, but the rest is pretty much alright), so if I get it to work, there's the possibility of replacement meshes. They're low-poly (based on toddler hands) so they're computer-friendly.
The feet are a slight UV-edit of Rosebine's SF infant conversion, shown since I'm planning to combine them into one mesh. |

I have started on the third round of career lots for my apoca hood.
The first is the local dive, made up of several buildings housing bars, gambling dens, dancing, and suchlike. There's a food joint in the basement, and ...greenery... growing on one of the balconies. The place is even classier at night. |

Not making sim stuff; more like editing existing CCs. Tried to slave christianlov's power fridge to BG Ciao Time Bovinia Refrigerator and succeeded. I had to extract GDMC, GMND and SHPE from master object, then import them to power fridge to follow the tutorial. Interesting thing is, once I managed to repositoried one of hacked fridges to Maxis fridge, the rest of hacked objects cloned from the same fridge also draw textures from it(You should delete MMAT to see that though).

1. More edit of Power Fridge. This time I cloned the base item, slaved the clone, then applied extracted resources to it. And changed the English description. It's not exactly direct translation of original description(which is in Korean), but I wanted to make it similar(I'm no translator anyway). Seems like there're still works to be done(yeah, inside is flashing blue!)
2. Slaving merola's multi painting(gosh, it was deleted from MTS) to BG 'Rolling Hills'. Thanks HugeLunatic! |
I am working on some swimsuit recolours for the mid-century theme.
@PenelopeT your link in Daisy Chain isn't working for me. I get a mega upload error page PS. Forgot to say, I love those doors! |
@joandsarah77
Hmm, not sure why you're getting an error. The link in the post still works fine for me, and there was no issue downloading, but here's the direct link https://mega.nz/#!JVoAhIRR!GGHetOPX...0XHPZCWoHXsN7Gs. Let me know if you still have trouble and I'll upload it to my Box account for you. And thanks, glad you like the doors. I've been having lots of fun making them. |

The link didn't work on my Firefox either, but Opera was able to get at it just fine.

Glad you guys got the download link to work. I do not use Firefox, and had no clue that it could cause downloading issues.

Sim File share works fine on both platforms.

And I'm back with more building stuff. I got a "new" PC, and instead of porting over my CC folder this time (much of which dates back to release or a little bit later) and dealing with bugs, corruptions and crashes, I started from scratch entirely.
And I came up with a cool idea for my University town, as the campus here in Ames (among many others) has a clocktower campanile. And I thought, "huh! Could be a fun challenge." So, based around the town's name and theme of four seasons, I give you the Four Winds Campanile. Barring some detailing and landscaping, I'd say she finished up nicely. Holy hell. Building something 12 stories up is a doozy. |

Updated ShanOw's LCD TVs to AL. Anyone can do it if you follow Lord Darcy's tutorial, but I wonder why the author said 'They are currently not freetime enabled as when adding the neccesart(sic) bits to make them work in FT the tv's ability to work on any surface seems to vanish'. I edited placement thing of 'any surface TV' a bit(not much, just changing 'const' thing to 'literal'), and it was working when I tested it for a minute.
And added height adjustment to wall TV. **Should I remove 'Tinkering' from menu? |

So, I have been searching high and low for the perfect road default for my medieval hood. Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of nice medieval road defaults out there. But none of what I had in mind when I first started searching.
Since I really love the Rural Lane set from Criquette I used the textures them to make my own road default. And it turned out pretty good! It’s not perfect but damn, I am little proud. All the credits goes to Criquette, I just put it together. |

I've been working on a skintone set for a while making liquid metal skintones. I used Madmosh's very shiny robot gidget skins, modified, retextured and recolored them and I got this wonderful result. Only problem is that the clothes turn out shiny too and some hairs have missing textures, I just have to know which hairs to use but other than that, they look great. Click on images to enlarge. These are only a few recolors that I made, there are more.

Mining
3 Attachment(s)
Failing to discover what is making landlord parties fail (removing CC prevents the landlord even trying, leaving it in gets the stereo on but pizza fail.), I gave up and went back to trying to resolve my lag problem. Currently, this seems to mean starting a new hood and seeing how long it takes to start the lag problem.
So I am back to building, this time in an industrial/urban style. I have made a couple of mine structures this week. Here is the first one - the outside is pretty faithful to the Silver King Coalition Building in Utah. The inside is currently empty, and I can't find info on what should be in there. I don't really want to build turbines or anything from CC parts, anyway. This building was not actually a mine, but a staging area. Ore arrived in cable-car buckets at the top of the building - I left the platform in situ, though it's on the other side in these pics - and left by rail car for the smelters in another city. No idea how the ore got to the bottom, or what happened in the rest of the building. I have put in a basement with lift access, so it can be a working mine (thanks, Sun&Moon), or some other community use. There is access to the rails from both sides of the ground floor. I've also built a copper mine, and next will be an industrial mill. Nice to be playing again, instead of the endless (and fruitless) bug-searching. |
6 Attachment(s)
Another mine bulding, this time based on the Champion No. 4 Shaft from Painesdale. Old Champion was a copper mine. The ore was once brought up to the top of the tower, and allowed to fall down the long shute, being processed and pulverized by machinery along the way, before it was sent for smelting. Old Champion's heyday was in the early 20th century.
This building is still partially fitted out - the manager's office, staff canteen, sorting room and some machinery (robotics workstations) remain. There is even a tiny first-aid room. The lift still goes down into the shaft, though only to one level. You can see some of Sun&Moon's mining rocks in the basement, and a heap of spoil fills one corner of the lot. |

It’s my first object in a long time, but I created the sign for the Seventh Heaven bar in Final Fantasy VII, This is the Remake's version of it! It isn’t exact, but it’s close! EDIT: So I added the beams to the sign and I honestly am in love with how it currently looks <3 |

The Romanov Sisters
Olga Nikolaevna Romanov Tatiana Nikolaevna Romanov Maria Nikolaevna Romanov Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanov |
Thinking about Sims often brings a tear to my eye (because their hold on life is even slighter than our own), but the Romanov sisters really deserve my tears. In case other people haven't realised it, these are the daughters of Tsar Nicholas II of Russia and Alexandra the Tsarina, who were murdered along with their parents and their little brother Alexei (still only 13) by Bolsheviks in July 1918. Prior to the 1917 revolution the Romanov sisters had led very sheltered lives, and, whatever the rights and wrongs of the Russian Revolution, the Romanov children were entirely innocent victims.
@Mischief Managed : I am fascinated to know why you have recreated them as Sims. Are you doing Nicholas, Alexandra and Alexei too? btw; a little typo -- you missed out the "n" in "Romanov" in the title and the second line. |

As I mentioned thinking about them gets me emotional, and I've always had a...hyperfixation with the Romanovs since I a child, (starting from watching the 1997, Anastasia than learning about the real story) Recently I re-listened to the Anastasia soundtracks (movie and broadway musical) and reignited my passion, which lead to tears and anger, so while taking a break from Harry Potter sims I realized I had 1. probably way more than necessary Edwardian clothing and 2. the 48 Around the world non default face templates, (I'm sorry I don't have the by who on hand) which included maybe 5? that had features found in Russia, Germany and UK etc (considering, Nicholas was Russian, Alexandra was German and both were grandchildren of Queen Victoria with some English heritage) So thought why not As for doing the rest, eventually yes Nicky and Alexi are easy, as for Alix, like the girls I would love to use pooklet hair colors, as it has they redish/brownish/blonde color that they had but there are no Edwardian hairs in those colors. the ones I am currently using are 4t2 and 3t2 in maxis match brown as it's the closest in historical style sorry for the longwinded explanation

aelflaed and Jawusa, I love your lots! very different styles but both unique
I also like the shirts WatermelonSandal, I myself have never enough patterned button-ups irl Lately I've been working on an electric kettle that sims can actually drink tea from. I've managed to get everything working as intended, but I haven't made up my mind about recolor options yet. I made some improvements (fixed the clipping) since last time i took theses screenshots, but right now my game decided not to launch anymore even though it worked smoothly this morning... So I'm backing everything up and trying to track down the problem |
^ Delete cache files, maybe? They frequently make the game not want to run, but delete them and the game is usually back on track again.
Also, neat idea with the electric kettle |

Cache files can cause problems if you edit files in the downloads folder, possibly if you compress files, move files around, or when you add or remove CC.
Personally, I delete the cache files before I start my game or Bodyshop. Less chance of problems that way. |

Jamie Palmer: Shy but friendly, haven't really thought about his personality or his major yet. Uses a pattern from The Sims 3. At the moment Dejohn and Jamie's shirts are WIPs, I like Mingmei's as it is. |

After 10 years without playing with sims skins, I'm modifying a texture set to satisfy an old craving, the 1st victim is Teru_k's Ephemera Asia skin type 3, the idea is to make it compatible with my fave Xhires female bodyshapes, (Fitchick, Fashion Model, Faerie & Rio) and add/align the adult details (teen to elder) for both genders in all 3 Ephemera Asia types (also map Crammyboy's hack and maybe some body hair on male textures) and of course add sexy feet to all ages and genders. By now my 1st goal is to get used again to play with those small 1024x1024 single map textures, it's a bit hard after some time being customed to work with multiple map (diffuse, specular, normal, bump and subsurface maps) 4096x4096 textures, if I fill that goal and like the results with Ephemera ones, I'll go for "Nabila's Andale skin blends" to make the same proccess, because I love all its 6 shades. Sorry for the censorship, but I have to respect MTS rules, anyways layers names in Photo-paint screenshot are explicit enough. First texture in progress |

Well, since this thread is about pics and it's pretty inactive, I cannot miss the chance to showcase some of the stuff I'm making for my sims. First of all a couple of pics more from the retaken project I shown some screenshots in my previous post, to show 4 more textures for my Fashion Model alpha mesh with sexy feet and SimpleDesign's flip-flops. In the next pic, my sim Kate is wearing a red top with denim shorts, that texture belongs to ChazDesign, I reused it for my mesh, well to be honest in the time I started the project, I reused that texture in clothing items for all my favorite female bodyshapes, because it is an amazing texture and would be a waste to keep it for Eaxis boringshape only, it's almost sure I'll make a photo session with a sim from our fellow @WatermelonSandal wearing this outfit, but I don't know if I'll be able to post them, as the "sims of others" picture thread is inactive and I have another of his girls with images waiting to be posted, while I'm trying to avoid a triple post to that thread. Another of these old projects was one with a mesh from Liana Sims I liked in those old good times but I disliked a small detail of it, the Eaxis block feet, my original idea was to replace them with sexy feet and keep it barefoot, but later I realized that flip-flops would make the mesh more versatile. A first texture (a bit minimalist) and a first in game screenshot of the modified mesh. I already spent the limit of pics for a single picture post, then.... ....つづく (または継続しない) |
No pretty pictures yet, but I'm f i n a l l y getting started on finishing my FifthAce2007 Excel Bay Windows project I began back in 2017 and promised to finish over a year ago. Female Hogwarts Girls Uniform concept
9 Attachment(s)
Well I never really found a "Hogwarts uniform that I liked" That was just the shirt skirt and tie. And I always thought this sweater vest dress from free time would be perfect
All it would need is a recolor and a shirt and tie to go over the sweater. Well I did the recolor Now I finally realized I had a shirt that was almost an exact match to the one underneath the vest it's this Oxford shirt by skell Well I wanted to see if it could be done in bodyshop..... it can't. Or atleast I don' know how/am not capable. Because you still see the outline of the sweater, and the sleeves collar don't match up. Also the oxford shirt by skell is a little to short to match up with the white undershirt of the sweater vest dress However I wanted to see what it would look like if it could be done, so I opened up gimp and this was the result Like I said there is the small length issue where the shirts don't meet, also in some areas the oxford shirt is narrower I also managed to add on a tie from Cloudlessnights version of a hogwarts uniform (though it doesn't sit quite right) Update: I through together a last minute version with Skell's version of the reposited Apartment life sweater over top of it Again this unfortunately is only a concept, but I figured I'd share it anyway |
@Mischief Managed glad that you decided to share some screenshots of the nice work you're doing right now to this thread, I saw your thread at the creator feedback forum, but I avoided to reply there, mostly due to my ignorance on the Harry Potter's subject, I barely read the 1st novel about 19 years ago and never seen the movies or another related material, since you are looking there for feedback about the lookalikes, then a simple comment from me saying that I like what you're doing would be totally useless there, and even a sort of spam, but here is perfectly valid, loves what you did with those textures, above all I love the one in the next to last picture, it rocks.
@d4RE hopes to see images of your model very soon. Liana sims mesh 124 for my fave four
This time is a conversion I did of the mesh 124 from Liana Sims to my favorite female bodyshapes, using Poser and Milkshape 3D, I skipped the MS3D screenshots because they would spend all the post not leaving chance to post some in game test shots, texture used also belongs to Liana. Warlokk's Faerie gal and Fashion Model
Fitchick and Warlokk's Rio All together, from left to right Faerie, Fashion Model, the original mesh from Liana, (its shape looks closer to Fashion Model than to Eaxis Boringshape, so weird as it is supposed to be based on Maxis one) Fitchick and Rio. And here is my runway team as they are in my game, the beautiful Mingmei by our fellow @WatermelonSandal, my sims Sheila & Hoshi (Fashion Model all of them in my game) and my sim Claudette, a stunning lady based on BobbyTH's "Girl next door" bodyshape. ....つづく (または継続しない) |

I doubt it my friend, in first place believe it or not, you're the first person and possibly the only one here, who show some interest in them, the only piece I think is already finished is my alpha pants mesh for "Fashion Model" I've started to show in this post, I don't see the minidress as my own work as the only thing I did was to replace those block feet for realistic ones (going more realistic, a sort of deadly sin) and SimpleDesign's flip-flops, the 3rd project, the conversions to my favorite custom body shapes (using custom bodyshapes, another deadly sin) still have some fails in the pants that I should fix before sharing them, if you like these stuff, as soon I finish their work, I can upload all these pieces and their recolors to my box account and send you the link, I have no problem in sharing my stuff with people who appreciates it, but I still see myself as a retired and homeless simmer, these were some projects I left unfinished eight years ago, and now I retook them for the sake of completion. On the other hand, since I have the same "handicaps" after seeing the attempt that @phoenix104 did to upload another bodyshape variety related project, I honestly don't want to go through a moderation queue to get in the end rejected, because someone is (or poses to be) too overzealous about a small pixel difference between the "written" rules and my pics size or about a lack of quality I know my pics does not have, when the real obstacle for my "upload" is other. @grandma_on_a_kiling_spree I got very well impressed by the pictures of the benches in your latest WCIF and I got tempted, I stole your pics to use them as reference and as soon I had a short free time, I opened my favorite toy and this is what I got after an hour and a few minutes playing with it, of course, right now it's barely a (loosely based) raw 3D model that needs a whole bunch of steps before being converted in a piece of "Sims furniture" if I decide to go that way, yeah I did it in "sims 2" scale (my fault) when I should have make it in Daz Studio scale, more useful to me. As my purpose is not to offend anyone, I tried to soften them and I honestly hope my words not be as offending as my sims and content, and hence my pics are already for the sims community in its actual state, a narrow minded community, sick of a widely spread "Uncanny Valley's syndrome" and ruled by that sickness and the Ayatollahs of a fundamentalist pseudo-religious sect of Ea's worshippers that I currently tend to call the MM religion, I do not belong to that community, after the death of my home, (Back Alley Sims) I became into a sort of homeless simmer, even without the shelter for open minded simmers, the now also extinct "adult" sims community used to be, only 2 or 3 decent "adult" sim forums still have their doors open, but without any activity in years. Already shared my last couple of pictures to this thread, then.... ....つづく (that's not true, will not be continued). さようなら |
PLEASE Don't Give Up!
@jotaerre Hey JR, you ARE appreciated. I personally would hate to see you leave the Sims community. Please give some thought to reconsidering. I do agree, however, there is extremely little interest here in "our" sort of shapely Sims. The number of people here who use, or even mention, bodyshape variety seems to be an almost insignificant minority.
I'm interested in anything you may wish to share for bodyshapes. I don't play Maxis shapes at all - all the Maxis characters are still the default shape in my game but all my playable characters once they reach teen age are different bodyshapes and at every age are forbidden to interact with any Maxis character except to say goodbye if they should happen to bring one of them home from work or school. I'm on generation 5 of my aptly named "Shape Island" neighborhood and still see the same Maxis characters walking or jogging by my Sims' homes. I still make/convert clothing to different bodyshapes but don't bother to try sharing them here because there is so little interest. Last night, I actually spent several hours converting more clothing to my Sims preferred shapes. If you decide you want to continue for a while longer doing some Sims2 work (I hope you do), Please PM me and perhaps we can share things some other way. P.S. I hadn't responded in this thread before because for some reason, I wasn't seeing it. Weird. |
JR, you really are appreciated, I have always loved your sims. I never used to waste my time with the picture threads but since seeing your name here I do come here for a look quite often. I too still have and use a huge variety of female bodyshapes, with Fashion Model and Fashion Model (D36) being among my favourites.
|
@jotaerre -Having more body shape options would be great and I'd love some teen, adult and elder female shapes that were more boyish and some that were a little more curvy than EA ones to make my sims more varied in looks so my towns don't look like cities full of clones.
I've got a few apartment lot build projects lined up after my current townhouse project is finished and I plan on sharing some without CC though I'll link to any that might be useful in case anybody downloading it wants that CC. |

Thank you Eric, @HobbesED I love the idea of sharing related stuff, even in those other ways, I'd swear I had you in my Gmail contact list, but looked for it and didn't found your address, maybe it was Hotmail, but I loss that account years ago, anyways I think soon you'll get a PM from me with some of my stuff for bodyshapes, mostly FM and Fitchick, but I did stuff for several of them, I did the conversion of Liana sims mesh 124 for another bodyshape, I guess your favorite one, but I left it without importing to the package format due to a small issue with the cleavage I need to fix first.

Thank you Chris, I'm still a huge fan of your works, among them the ones for custom bodyshapes, above all the FM and MOD related ones, I still have all of the old works you did, @Chris Hatch did you tell something about Fashion Model (D36)? I'm assuming that it was done after my departure and I'd love to know more about, and of course, to get it.

@TadOlson there is plenty of options to choice, all depends on what you want, if you want the whole bodyshape system with showerproof meshes and linked skins, or just clothing for shapely sims, even boyish females, for more muscular girls, the athletic girl and female bodybuilder by Marvine & Beoboxboy can do the trick, for weaker ones maybe some combo from Warlokk's numbered series or Gothplague's Miana can be of some help, also Warlokk's Milla, but there is not so much clothing items for these shapes, take an eye on Insemenator.org and its sister site ISA and you'll find them, for curvier shapes there are lots of choices, in some ones like BTH's shapes you'll have to research a bit more, but also can get them. |

I don't think I ever bothered to separate the mesh into top and bottom. The shape is Warlokk's FM with a slightly bigger bust and hips, generally there is a natural mesh for naked or pyjamas etc. and a push up mesh for when dressed normally. It is now probably the most common bodyshape in my game with many unique NPCs in T&A and A&N including Grim Reaper having the Fashion Model D36 bodyshape. You can get the basic mesh with one (default S1) skin from FM[D36]nude-Mesh.zip (2.4 MB) |

Well I was making some beauty marks but Bodyshop didn't like that.

If you were trying to load an existing project and changed the project files outside of BodyShop, it can react like that.

I see. When you say outside, do you mean when BodyShop is open and I move to another program, or when it's closed? |
Quote: Originally posted by WatermelonSandal
It could actually be either but more likely when BodyShop is closed. When it's open, we're changing the content of the files even with other programs as we make whatever it is we are making. But if we change a project's name, change a file's attributes, change a file's name or remove a file from a project then BodyShop won't like that when it comes time to reload the project. I know it has crashed on me because I was swapping texture files and accidentally put in one which was bigger than the original. Since I'd made the replacement in a graphics program and didn't pay close enough attention to the size of the texture it contained, the file size of my replacement differed from the original and BodyShop threw up. It's generally not the content of the files which causes issues, it's when the attributes of the Project or the attributes of files within the Project change which cause the problems. |
^ Yup.
You may not want to do anything to the package files in the Project folder (that can include changing categories, unless you plan to only use the project once and then delete it). Project files/folders can occasionally bug out. Plus, they're just templates and eventually get deleted with the project anyway. Wait until the proper, working files are safely imported into the SavedSims folder, and Bodyshop is closed down before you change categories or do any other edits in the PropertySet or MeshOverlay (and whatever the resource is called for makeup, I can't remember). I don't change the size of the textures unless I make absolutely sure I'm changing the size of both the texture and the alpha at the same time (making sure it's the same size and the proper size, of course), then save both files, close the files, and open them back up again. That way I know the size is saved, even if I go back in the history panel. I also use the same files, so I know Photoshop saves the proper format (because PS usually does that - not all programs do, unfortunately). If you save new files, or open a new file and then save over the files, it's easy to make mistakes that makes Bodyshop confused. Of course, sometimes you don't have much of a choice (like Gimp). |
@TadOlson that building looks really nice, I like it.
@Chris Hatch I loaded your FM D36 bodyshape in BS using your nude bodyshop model and looks as great as I expected, a beautiful shape halfway between Fashion Model and Fitchick, well honestly I see it closer to Fitchick in its volume but better defined than FM or Fitchick, a detail that caught my attention is that the skin file does not have skin textures inside it only someones for 3d pubes, but it loads my default S1 skin (Rensim Peau light) on the shape, as I told in your nude BS model, hence I cannot post any screenshot here, but that detail and the fact it was done with a full body mesh, looks very interesting to me, well I'd love to try it with non default skins too, then I'm making an attempt to it, here is an image of the folder with my first proposed textures, just need to import and try them in a sim, but I'd like to have a wide diversity of tones for it, just like us, real people have. Diversity rocks!!! Just a small couple of questions about, which male bodyshape is linked to it? and also which female teen is linked too? On the other hand, recently I've been making new recolors for some of my own old picture and poster frames that were once available at Back Alley Sims, I'm posting some pics to not derail the post again. For the painting frames And for the block frame used for posters, left side is the original poster. |

That skin uses genetic pubic hair which bodyshop can't handle, bodyshop will probably create a skin that only works for black haired girls. I can't remember the last time I used bodyshop to create anything, I use SimPe for everthing. I think I linked the males in that skin to the default meshes, I don't really know or care as I have no idea what male bodyshapes are what. It deliberately only uses default textures to keep the file size small.
On the opposite end of file size I added a skin that uses 2048 x 2048 textures for adult and teen females. The females are linked to Bobby TH's BootyGravity [C] bodyshape (meshes included) an almost unused bodyshape because of it's similarity to Bobby's original Bootlicious. The textures aren't high quality, just stretched default but SimPe can't change the size or format of LIFOs (must edit the header with a Hex Editor) so if you wanted to try making a high quality skin and/or test for problems using such large textures you can try these CJH_Booty[C]-2048-S1Skin.zip (14.2 MB) I uploaded a file for you JRthings.zip (4.4 MB) that has you original VW cop car. It also has an altered version of your Vintage Poster Collection (Saber Marionette Lime - mesh by JR), (the mesh you have used above so I am sort of on subject). I altered the UV so the re-colours don't need to include the backing texture which makes them smaller and easier to do, and it includes a diagonal mesh so it can be placed on diagonal walls. What I have actually been up to is I just made the jump rope animations jiggly but I can't post pics of that. I finished making a six tile wide shop front entrance. The sign above the door has a lod90 mesh so it looks good and lights up from neighbourhood view. The entrance has no diagonal but it has matching one tile and three tile windows that do. CJH_ShopFront.zip (377.6 kB) |
@Chris Hatch thank you so much my friend, I think those 2048 diffuse textures will be of great help for the plan we talked about, First I can test its impact in game's performance and depending on its results, also I can use them as start point to draw/paint the ones for the "Angel" and "Fitboy" bodyshapes over them, if the plan becomes into a serious project, it's a guide/blueprint better than the UV, at least it's less abstract than the Uv map, on the other hand I loss the Gravity shape, then I'm getting it again in your file.
Already nabbed the JRthings.zip file, but I wasn't the only member who grabbed it, then the other members who got it, possibly would like to grab the recolors Stephan did for it, they're here: http://www.simfileshare.net/download/2115134/ and here is a screenshot of one of them: (German Police) Original texture is shown in your post to the sim couples topic and the Dutch one is in my reply , talking about that reply, I posted there a render of my favorite police car in its final version converted to Daz studio format, here is a pic of an early Sims 2 version of the same car, for the Daz version I had to borrow the wheels and seats, as the ones I did got deformed in a way I didn't like, that's the only change I did for the Daz version, I loss the final sim version, (.package file) but since I own the original obj model, soon or late I'll replace the geom for the final version, I have it for the British way of handling (used in Japan) and a mirrored one for the American style. About the modified frame, loves the idea of a diagonal mesh of it, thanks again, but I have a question. does it overrides my original mesh? or I can use both versions in the game. Another pic of the paintings I shown in my previous post, to give readers and idea of its ingame size, not noticeable in the other post. |
Nothing to show for in-game at the moment, since this whole project is glitchy, but since I talked about it a few times in some other threads;
What you are looking at is some of the Better Audio and Soundtrack Tool files. A preview to how it'll be setup. BaST is a side project of mine that aims to overhaul the game Soundtrack, as well as fix some bugs such as music playing in the wrong mode(s). New genres, reorganized genres, widescreen fix, new songs, fix for the .mp3 documents folder lag. Not all of that is implemented yet, but it's what I'm working on. |

I got a working widget for BaST. You can see it in this post. Right now all the widget does is display the currently played song. Eventually I plan on making it so you can skip and pause songs (a feature EA/Maxis forgot to add). The widget is a primitive box atm. Not so fancy.

I've got a project that can be ready for upload very soon and it's a neighorhood that goes into the neighborhoods folder and is ready to load and be played though you have to build your own lots or install and place some of my own builds down. The terrain is from the game.

@grammapat: That looks really nice, a bit like a real old factory building in the town where I grew up. Are you by any chance thinking of sharing that house?

Gee, thank you. I've never downloaded anything..gave up when tried to use AGS and whole game install was destroyed! One of the things I like about it is that the ONE exterior door is inset so it doesn't look like a house (it's on the left in back view), and it's "matched" by a door in a "balcony" on the right side. It's not really a huge house; the whole area by the entry is a kitchen, dining, and small bath. Sims have to go up and across the access to the other side for the living area. Bedrooms all up-stairs. Could have added industrial duct-work, but it would have increased the price too much. I don't know if I'm allowed to send someone a lot PERSONALLY. Actually, my SIMS are so unique I would love to share...am actually surprised at some of the Sims you can download from here that just look like an unaltered Maxis pre-set. |

Currently making Daniel from LiS2. It's painstaking because his facial features keep changing based on what screenshot I reference from, but I really like what I have right now. The eye shadow and birthmarks are custom-made, only about half an hour ago! As you can see from the other pics I'm also looking at finding the right hairstyle for him.

I have this absurd idea of getting Juliette Capp to do what the British Royal Family should have done in 1917 and offer the Romanovs sanctuary in Veronaville. Of course it's absurd and historically impossible, but in The Sims 2 isn't anything possible? I'm sure Anastasia and her sisters will find life in modern Veronaville, with its nightclubs and gay scene, a tremendous culture shock compared to late Tsarist/early revolutionary Russia, but I'm sure it will be infinitely better than the brutal real life fate that awaited them in Ekaterinburg. [EDIT] Since this is the Making Sim Stuff - Whatchoo Up To? thread, here's a picture of what I was up to this week: I've been converting the Simphany.com metalic teen bikinis for adults. For some reason Simphany.com does these bikinis for children, teens and elders, but not for adults. Maybe they think there are plenty of other bikinis for adults. True, but, if this is your favourite style in every other lifestage, you might want to wear it as an adult too. I recently discovered that, when you don't need a new mesh, teen-to-adult (and vice versa) age conversions are easy. |

Oh most certainly but I am sure they'd get used to it, better doctors for Alexei at least |
