I'd never seen a sim roll for WANTING a sim to be sprayed by a skunk!
I often see my sims fearing that for their family members, friends, and pets, but I'd never had it as a want. I checked his relationships to see if there was a connection, and there might be one. Two of the people he wants sprayed he has no relationship with, and one is negative. The people he fears getting sprayed, he has a great relationship with. |

I'm unsure if the sprayed by skunk thing is intended to be a want. I've only seen if listed as a fear in SimPE. Perhaps someone with more internal knowledge of the game can elaborate and inform us? This honestly is the first I've ever seen it be listed as a want and not a fear. |

It is. I've seen it several times before, mostly on nice Sims who are furious at someone. |
In Thalia, (which is in the desert) there are a lot of thunderstorms. Hence there are a lot of pixels who dream of nothing better than to get hit with lightning.
I have a very strange town. I have to make them happy, so every time they roll that want and it happens to be raining, I 'smite' them with the batbox and they're happy for a while until the next time. So far I haven't had any fatalities but eventually there will be one. I'm careful to space them out so that they have time to recover. But it's odd to see those who want to get hit be so happy with the results. A bunch of masochists, for sure-into pain and suffering. No wonder so many of them are basket cases! |

Ah, okay. guess i should be playing more and creating neighborhoods less... ![]() |

Doesn't want to be sprayed himself, however. Can dish it out, but can't take it? XD

Maybe it's the nice sims' version of wanting to see someone's ghost. Well, I hate them, but I'd never wish them dead ... this will do.

You and me both lol (if you replace neighbourhoods with random CC). |
Question for my fellow lot creators, have you ever gone back to an old creation to decorate it for the holidays and reupload it? I have a few old (and not-so-old) creations that I'm kinda tempted to try it with, but I always end up convincing myself it wouldn't be different enough to actually be worth it in the end...

I personally haven't, but I say go for it. I've had people tell me they download lots because they hate decorating in general, so you saving them the effort of holiday decorations might be worth it to some people. I use your Hatley Castle to as a fancy wedding venue and I'd totally keep a spare holiday version in the lot bin for winter weddings ![]() (ETA: Let the record show I'm not requesting that one specifically, just that I can see the appeal of a duplicate :D) |

Lol Hatley is definitely one of my old projects that I have thought about it with! ![]() |
Personal opinion: I download lots because I hate decorating. I love themed lots so I can just send everyone there for a Christmas/Halloween/wedding/whatever celebration instead of having to decorate each household individually.

I'm still without my computer, With difficulty I've managed to log on on my smartphone but I hate it. Its so slow and clunky. I desperately miss my Sims and mts.

I hope you get it back pronto-I know the pain of not having your own computer to use. Had to use husband's laptop for over 4 weeks and no game at all. It's painful, really. |

I think it is a good idea and that the decorated lots may be popular! I don't think anyone has done that, the closest is probably builders who have reuploaded lots after their skills have improved (and that is something I have been considering at times). No reason not to be the first ![]() |

But I have uploaded decked or undecked lots before: The Corner Shoppes of Downtown ~ Redux ~ in 2 flavors: Christmas & Everyday I think it's a good idea - if it were me, I'd add the new lot to the old upload instead of doing a whole new upload. (That's what I did when I "fixed" up a bunch of my old uploads back in 2020 - I just added/replaced the old file with the new) *wink, wink* @Justpetro ...of course there were one or two of the old ones that fixed up sooo nicely I had to show them off in a fresh new upload. ![]() |
I'm so happy!
![]() Now I must get over to Veronaville and touch base with some of my special friends there! |
I wish sims could own community lots at university or the vacation hoods
|
I wish sims could live in uni neighborhoods or any of the vacation neighborhood. The closest anyone can do is duplicate the terrain and 'pretend' they are living there.

On the other hand, the "Anything goes" nightclub in New Desconia, run by two teens -- one the owner, the other the manager and resident DJ -- is arguably the most successful owned business in my game. But even there I have to do some manual bookkeeping to make sure the boys get everything they're owed! Does anyone else have teen-owned OFB businesses? |

I don't think he has anything to worry about. If he was going to go to Uni he'd have been aged up by now lol. |
University students can run businesses that are located in the main hood and any shopping districts, but no one can buy a community lot in a university or vacation hood.

They're missing a lot of potential business! |
The way I look on it, the University owns the land and the local education authority owns the University. And like any other bureaucracy, contracts are decided at the beginning of the financial year, and any businesses who want to provide a service for the Uni have to bid. The contract is usually always given to the bidder who charges least (even though the product is shoddy), so this is why the Landgraab corporation serves mac'n'cheese 7 days a week in the refectory, and small business owners with lobster thermidor don't stand a chance.

As someone who lives very close to a university (and hates it, college kids are loud at night) I've always found it strange that universities are separate hoods. Granted I never actually went to college and thus have a limited knowledge of what a campus looks like from the inside, but I find it strange that they've separated the ENTIRE campus as well as a handful of businesses and ALL the housing from the main hood. IRL there's regular housing as well as businesses accessible to everyone interspersed with the VERY spread-out campus, especially when you're talking a university and not just a college (in USAmerican terms specifically).
