LOL looks like grandpa is enjoying the new hot tub

So I caved in and got Sunlit Tides (or w/e its called) and I was play testing with Rio and Junielle... I sent Rio out to get a job at the theatre (GORGEOUS rabbit holes by the way) and I noticed instead of "guitar skill" he now needs to raise his "Musical skill".

Is that new?

The game has actually lost all appeal to me outside of legacy play, so... I can't answer your question. xD

Huh! I wonder how that works?

After they added new instruments, I always felt like you should be able to PICK one to specialize in for that career.

(totally worth the double post)

calisims 30th Aug 2012 2:27 PM

Twallan's Career mod does that. Whatever instrument you are best in is the one the career uses for the skill metric.

I personally can't choose between them. I love both, though I think I like Karla more for her freckles.

Anyway, the vote came up with Karla winning the heir position.

lovinglife17 30th Aug 2012 10:01 PM

So Nancy (gen 3) just had her first and only baby, little Emilia Havens. Here's what I rolled for Gen 4, and the current family tree!

Yes I got Private Investigator again for primary income but I decided to keep it despite the fact I could've free-rerolled the repeat career; I like that profession =3
Looking forward to adopting a child tho! Haven't done that before yet =D

NutsAndDolts 30th Aug 2012 10:08 PM

I had to edit it once or twice, even after publishing, but chapter 3 is up: http://archers3.blogspot.com/2012/0...ur-circles.html

Kind of a longer one. I'm hoping to escape the first generation before Melissa hits her fourth.

calisims 30th Aug 2012 10:18 PM

ha, ha, good luck with that!

ReyaD 30th Aug 2012 10:54 PM

You know I really shouldn't be surprised that the genius behind "musical skill" was Twallan, not EA. I don't even know if the game would be playable without him.

Anyway, I have an update.

4.14 - Smile for Me http://sarisimsrandomlegacy.blogspo...ile-for-me.html

Coral is, in my opinion, the cutest teenage sim I've ever had. But I've sneaked a peak at YA Jade from CAS and... damn. I'm going to love Gen 5 when I finally get there.

lovinglife17 30th Aug 2012 11:36 PM

What a tragedy! Poor Nancy Havens experienced 3 deaths in one day! That nasty Grim Reaper took the whole of generation 2 and Nancy's elderly boyfriend away one right after the other ....

Understandably Nancy's a little .... loopy after such a traumatic experience

ReyaD 30th Aug 2012 11:40 PM

Making silly faces with the grim reaper is a healthy and totally sane response to the deaths of those closest to your heart. : )

kadience 31st Aug 2012 12:27 AM

Supernatural has officially been pre-ordered. Can't wait.

Nirar22 31st Aug 2012 6:44 AM

While I keep my thread here: The Kahekili Legacy more up to date--(-it is my playing around with, just having fun story), I have a slight variation of it posted on my blog now. Since not everyone may want to register at the Sims Asylum to read a story, I also have it on my blog.

The slight variation is that I made it more into a story.

I have The Prologue: Meet the Kahekilis uploaded.

I also have Chapter One: Tragic Clown and Cat Bites uploaded as well.

I have definitely written better---but it'll work. lol

Now I have some silly questions, I am well known for those!, and it has to do with rolling for the next generation. How soon do you roll? I have in mind Keiki as my Gen 2 heir---she's a child though. Do I roll for her now, or wait until she reaches YA? If I can roll now, can I begin working on her goals? Does rolling for the next generation invalidate the current generation's rolls? If you can't tell---I'm a bit confused on this point---

And totally unrelated---what in the world happens if you add bacon? Or increase awesomeness? That last one--I wonder if it will make me smarter? :p

ETA--@Lovinglife17--I once had the Grim Reaper stop in the middle of taking a sim's life, so he could get an autograph. I couldn't believe it. But the Grim Reaper is one fan you wouldn't want to say "No" to.

I'ma just do this in point form, kay?

-> I roll when the previous gen becomes YA. (As in, I roll for gen 2 the same time I roll gen 1. I roll for gen 3 when gen 2 has their YA birthday... sometimes earlier)

-> I do this because some rolls (Random traits, born with it, etc) need to start when your heir's GENERATION is born. Plus is helps to know what you should skill your sim for, what traits to pick.

-> You don't have to start working on her goals, but why not?

-> The current generation's rolls remain valid and in use up until the moment the next generation takes over, on their YA birthday.

Also! The rules state that every generation has until the day they die to complete their goals, even if the next generation has begun. Although if the goals consist of daily/weekly tasks, those no longer need to be fulfilled when the next gen becomes YA (hence, they are considered complete).

That's at least how I understood them, please correct me if I'm wrong ^^

calisims 31st Aug 2012 1:45 PM

Nirar, you really should roll for the next generation sometime before the first child is born/adopted, because some goals do require you to start immediately (like Random Traits), and some rules require you start working on them childhood. If a rule doesn't specify when it should go into force, then it officially starts when the heir reaches YA. But you can of course start working on them earlier if you choose. If I have an heir that rolls Fashion Diva or Fighter, I start using it early on, figuring that it wouldn't just be a personality change that hits them when they reach adulthood, but something that is part of their whole lives.

Velinde 31st Aug 2012 4:30 PM

I have a silly question as well. I rolled "Single Parent". You can adopt, and make the adopted kid heir right? Or can you make only kids your sim had with another actual sim person heirs? If it says yes or no in the actual rules, sorry. X-x

calisims 31st Aug 2012 5:01 PM

Hi, Velinde, you can adopt kids and you can make the adopted child your heir. :D
No question is silly, always feel free to ask.

Velinde 31st Aug 2012 5:12 PM

Awesomesauce. :D
I accidently deleted my previous save file, and couldn't find my papers with the rolls, so I started again. ^^ Combining both this and the Rainbowcy. Actually have a story this time, so yay I can blog about it. I think it's pretty cool, so I'll probably post a link later.

LUCKY! I want it to, but I'll probably have to wait until Christmas. :/ Fairy babies. *-* Fairy zombie babies. **-**

Zokugai 31st Aug 2012 11:10 PM

So, my chapters have been delayed lately because I'm about halfway through patching (omfg so out of date) and that is always such a nightmare I've been putting them off in favor of IRL. I'll try to wrap it up in time for a chapter this weekend, because I hope to be well into Gen 2 by the time Supernatural hits my game. You know, after hours and hours of backups and patching and installing and uninstalling and exploding computers and re-backing up and installing and sacrificing animals to the gods and holy water and patching and holding my breath while seeing if my savegames still exist.

I love new EPs.

Silver lining, I think I'm only a chapter or two away from the generation switch. I swear, it'll break my little simmer heart whenever Altin finally kicks the bucket.

ReyaD 31st Aug 2012 11:29 PM

My sister is counting down the says to Seasons only because that means she'll get my copy of Supernatural. She wants to make a zombie apocalypse and then grab the gun mod from MTS to have her self sim be a zombie hunter and sole survivor.

I honestly don't know if I should take her to therapy or buy her a gift. Best 12 year old ever.

Velinde 31st Aug 2012 11:43 PM

Haha
Your sister is awesome.

Zokugai 1st Sep 2012 12:46 AM

Chapter 16: Recidivisim

In which we discover I need little or no excuse to flip on the geeky Criminal Justice major part of my brain.

And this ran a bit longer than I expected with a bit fewer actual events happening, so I guess I'm closer to three chapters off from Gen 2, not two.

I swear, I'm going to hit it by Christmas. Really. I am. Stop looking at me like that, I totally will. Maybe.

EDIT: As requested, for Cece:

I think this may actually be a YA picture, I took it in a different game.

Envie42 1st Sep 2012 9:36 AM

I'm back!

Hello, I'm back! I was 'new' here a couple weeks ago and got my prologue and 1st chapter out, and then my simple 'move' to a new apt ended up being a nightmare! The walls had been redone and they apparently cut the cables in the walls so I had to wait a whole week to get a hard line installed in my apartment. A whole WEEK with nothing but coffee shop wifi, I was so deprived! (aka spoiled rotten) ... I tried to upload a new chapter with the screenshots I had saved to my little netbook, but blogger totally hated my saved photos from a usb drive and messed the formatting all up and I gave up after repeated disconnects.

So its taken me another week to get settled in and find the time to get back to my saved sim files and blogging, whew!

I went back and read all the pages of updates I missed... it will take me another week to catch back up again on everyone's blogs! Welcome back Buckley! ... and to those with new challenges, I'm new too, so ask lots of questions, so I don't feel silly too.

I love the little sister who wants to do a zombie apocalypse with Supernatural btw, because that's exactly what I'm getting the expansion for myself, haha! I will have to start a separate blog for that fun!

And as for my brand new Legacy Challenge, I hope to put up a few chapters this weekend to make up for the last two weeks I was MIA.

Here's chapter 2!

1.2 - "Cuddles and Cookbooks"

Now for some reading on other stories here... so many good ones to read.

Thanks, glad you're back too! Its actually been about 10 days total without internet to my gaming PC. I've had wifi (from the pool, but spotty connection) but it just wasn't reliable enough to get my blog done and trying to format it on a tiny 10 inch screen wasn't happening, haha. It's amazing how spoiled we get with big flat screen monitors and PC's with fast interwebs.

I'm catching up on others stories now, so I'll have to dive into your McKinley's - I may not comment on everyone's blogs since I'm way behind on those who've been writing them for a long time, but I do read and subscribe to the blogs.

calisims 1st Sep 2012 7:12 PM

Welcome back, Envie! I'm glad you've got your internets back. I couldn't survive without mine, lol.

ReyaD 1st Sep 2012 7:42 PM

I went a month without my computer, but I still had my phone. I discovered that the sky really does look blue, flowers smell nice, and swimming is fun.

Then my computer was fixed and I haven't gone back to those dark days again.

A week with NOTHING? Just spotty internet? And you survived? You need your own reality show a la those survivor guys. Cause that's impressive.

(Sadly, there isn't even as much sarcasm in this post that you'd think. I'm glad you back, Envie. I hope your internet connection is stable for good.)

Hi - I commented on your blog, I'll be following your new legacy since I'm fairly new to all this and no way can I possibly go back and read all the old legacies as great as they are! I appreciate new ones so I can follow along as they are written and it helps me with my own newbie storytelling too. GREAT job on your intro for this, I love the mystery and strange setting / storyline with a ghosthunter for starters. Very creative!

I totally understand what you mean... getting outside is good, healthy, necessary... yes I know I know! I used to be a hardcore 'gamer' (WoW and the likes of online gaming) but have since "retired" for quite a few years now and limiting my online obsession to single player games that have a 'pause' button so, you know, I can start using the toilet, showering and having a life again like 'normal' humans do.

Oh gosh, I've never been hardcore. I take care of myself, but on make up like a normal human being, have a boyfriend, and go out with friends. But dammit, if I don't get my nightly Sims I will throw a fit worthy of a five year old.

Most embarrassing thing so far: I was playing sims on my balcony yesterday and kept trying to fix the lighting for my photos since the screen looked so dark... then I realized that I was outside and the sun was shining, which is why my screen looked weird. Obviously, my brain is still on vacation ><

Envie42 2nd Sep 2012 12:10 AM

I was mostly joking (about the toilet and shower part haha) - but yeah, I used to game pretty hardcore all day and all night on weekends. It was definitely not healthy. I'm much happier now, playing out the tiny short lives of Sims, while periodically building them dream houses or new towns. I spent a lot more time building than playing to be honest. The random legacy has held my interest for awhile as have the last couple of expansions, so hopefully I can actually stick with it on a full story beginning to end! Eventually I'm going to go back and pick up my Ice Station apocalypse challenge and finish that. I also have a survivor island challenge I'd like to someday document the history of, its been tons of fun since it started out with just 8 single sims and is now a full village!

Legacies have eluded me for so many years, maybe I just needed to settle down a bit to get the hang of it. Reading everyone's here has really helped me focus and I'm having a great time taking screenshots and coming up with a story as I play, rather than trying to write a story after I play - doesn't seem to have the same vibe and interest.

Anarathiel 2nd Sep 2012 12:18 AM

Hey guys! Remember me?

So yeah, I know I've been gone for a real long time, but I think it's time for me to get back to it.
A shit ton of stuff has happened recently so here's the short version:
1) I got a job back in july
2) I got accepted into a uni (I have no idea how seeing as I failed)
3) I've just finished work this week because i need time to prepare stuff to move 130 miles away

So now i'm writing up chapter 34 of my blog.
I'm having trouble remembering everything that happened in my game so sorry if it's a bit vague XD

Buckley 2nd Sep 2012 12:22 AM

Ana! *hugs* Of course I remember you!

Sounds like you've been busy. Congrats on getting into a uni! That's awesome!

GigaRevival 2nd Sep 2012 12:56 AM

Hey Ana! Congrats on getting into Uni and I look forward to your new chapter.

Anarathiel 2nd Sep 2012 1:16 AM

*hugs* I missed you guys

I love the way, the plot is coming flooding back to me now

Envie42 2nd Sep 2012 1:46 AM

Just out of curiosity to you 'veteran' legacy writers that have completed one or more of these challenges - do you find it easier to play for a long while and then take up your stored screenshots and write the story in long sessions (multiple chapters) at a time, or do you prefer writing the story as you play along... pausing between play sessions to record what happened and flesh out the story as it unfolds spontaneously?

I'm trying to figure out which way is best for me. I'm sure its personal preference but I can see the value of both ways. If you play your heir for a long time, perhaps even most of his / her generation, you get a better 'feel' for the character and going back to document it and record it in history form might make it more detailed. But, then again, if you record the story as it plays out, your memory is fresher (like Anarathiel just pointed out, you forget some things later on) - and details probably seem more relevant at the time of writing your blog.

How do you find it easiest to make the story flow well from play session to play session?

ReyaD 2nd Sep 2012 2:06 AM

I prefer to play a little, and then write in between play sessions, but I tend to know ahead of time what I want for each chapter, and plan according to that. There'll be times usually on the weekend where I'll get a few chapters backed up, but really it depends on you.

I know the character's personality because they'll show me their personality. And if a sim changes their personality as they age, well, that's natural. Us humans also go through changes to our personality as we age and go through different things.

Zokugai 2nd Sep 2012 2:13 AM

I don't like long play sessions when I'm writing sim stories (legacy or otherwise) because while I have an overall plotline, a lot of the little details don't occur to me until I'm actually writing. So if when I was playing, say...Elsie aged from toddler to child, well, that's great, until I realize I totally need a screenshot of her as a toddler

Amp_RNA 2nd Sep 2012 2:36 AM

Okay. So I've never had a blog before, my writing is rusty, and my pictures are meh, but I decided to do this challenge. and blog it. You can find it here http://www.deanrandomlegacy.blogspot.com/

I'm going to add the links on the side in a bit, I don't think I can look at my computer anymore right now...

I just want to say that part of the reason I'm doing this is that I got inspired by all your guys awesome stories! I've been reading some of the blogs and finally decided to delurk and join in.

I'm not one for storing things up. As soon as I have the material for a chapter, I write it up and publish it. If I've had a really long play session that gives me more material than I can possibly squeeze into one chapter, you'll see me pop out bunch of chapters in quick session (like, when I started my current legacy last week or so, I was popping out a chapter every day). I usually go in to the game with a general idea of what I'm going to do, but I also take a lot of pics of just stuff my Sims do and I'll come up with a little story to add in while I'm playing, and if I don't write that stuff pretty soon after shooting, I will forget why I took this bunch of pics, or what snappy dialog I had running in my head for my Sims while I was playing.

calisims 2nd Sep 2012 2:42 AM

Welcome to the challenge, Amp!

Envie42 2nd Sep 2012 3:03 AM

Thanks for all the feedback, it really helps me try and manage my play time with writing time if I make a plan for each chapter or segment of the story. I just lost internet for over a week and during that time, I was really tempted to just play my legacy couple for the whole time offline and then try and catch up the story once my internet was fixed...but now I'm SO glad I didn't! The story is much better if its fresh in my memory. I like what you said too calisims, about the dialogue being snappy in your head at the time you're playing it - because I think I feel the same way. I haven't written enough chapters to really have a good feel for it, that's why I thought I'd ask. I also like the spontaneity of not really knowing what will happen next until you're actually playing it. Mapping it out for a whole generation seems too contrived and controlled to me. I mean, I realize you're restricted by the rules of the roll you got for that generation, but within those constraints, you should have the freedom to let the story take shape naturally. At least, that's what feels right for me too so far.

New Chapter!

1.3 - "Putting Down Roots"

This one was a 'catch up' chapter since I was offline for two weeks. It slumps a little but there's so much going on starting with the next two I'm working on today!

zokugai, you so definitely called it with that crazy Kanoa Parrott... on.the.nose... I'm working it into the story since Simon and Emma's little life is just getting started and not too exciting yet ... they are barely getting their first skills and paychecks are pathetic for Simon so really isn't much for them to do yet... booooring! Kanoa's drama will help spice up the next couple of chapters until I can get a baby on the way!

Okay, it turns out blogger is much less complicated when I'm not quite so tired. I think I'm going to make mine look nicer when I post my next chapter.

Speaking of which, I should have that out tomorrow! I had a weird glitch that took the plot in a slightly different direction then I intended, so I think I need to grab a couple more pics to tie things up. I'll see. Has anyone ever had their Sim sleeping on two levels at once? Blake was clearly visible in the bed, but the game was under the impression that he was in the foundation. If you went down to ground level he was just floating there. It was strange... Hopefully it was just a placement issue. I think the bed in the house I put them in was placed with moveobjects on. I'm going to look into it.

Did you move Blake with moveobjects on? Sometimes this can happen. Though, in generation 3, I'd move my sims once and play some, quit, come back and play later and there were still weird issues. They'd get out of bed on the top floor, walk 2 feet, and be in the corresponding spot downstairs (which always seemed to be the bathroom which someone was in the middle of using).

Ah, that's probably it. I'd never heard of that, thanks for telling me! Actually, it ended up working out pretty well for me. I'm playing in Setra and the house actually has skeletons in the foundation. I was like, "Plot Point!"

ReyaD 3rd Sep 2012 4:53 AM

If you have a sim that gets "stuck" on floors or in foundations which is caused by having Moveobjects on, you can reset them to normal by just having them teleport to a normal floor. Rio got stuck like that twice while trying to get to the fridge after playing his guitar. Somehow while putting away his guitar he'd sink into the foundation.

2.3 - Growing Up

I think I may have one more update before Supernatural comes out. That depends though.

EDIT: Anytime I get a sim stuck like that (Happened several times with Brenna after using 'moveobjects on' with a pose) I just reset them, and they're fine after that. It's annoying though.

Envie42 3rd Sep 2012 7:47 AM

One, last, BIG chapter from me for this weekend (unless I get super industrious tomorrow as its a holiday) !!

Chapter 1.4 - "Pink and Black and Blue for You"

(omg I'm having so much fun with this story now I'm having a hard time stopping before I get back-logged with too many chapters to write!)

Your legacy is on my list to catch up btw - I'll comment once I get a little further in ... I love the start of it!

Oh look I have an update.

4.15 - He's Hopeless http://sarisimsrandomlegacy.blogspo...s-hopeless.html

I... I just... every time I think I'm going to have an ugly heir she comes out beautiful and... and I totally just cursed myself for next generation didn't I. Dammit.

Supernatural Patching!

Amazon says my copy of Supernatural shipped, woohoo!

I'm so excited to start my 'zombie apocalypse' (LOL) that I can't really focus on 'normal' sims even though my legacy generation is just starting to pick up speed and get interesting.

Btw, to all of you who use twallan's wonderful mods like Story Progression, Master Controller, etc... he's done about two dozen updates in the past 3-4 days in preparation for Supernatural's release, so if you like to get a jump on making sure your mods are up to date, today would be a good day to do that!

EDIT: Apparently EA put out the patches early over the weekend in preparation for Supernatural's release tomorrow - so the new data is avail. for your game and twallan's getting his mods updated. I use almost all of them so that's a lot of work! Do NOT patch if you're waiting awhile on Supernatural, not getting it, or want to keep using twallan's mods successfully between now and the time you start playing Supernatural. I made that mistake once and crashed my game horribly (I think after Pets released).

soooo excited! :p

CyyKosis 3rd Sep 2012 8:15 PM

Finally had time to play again *shakes fist at work*
Chapter 1.2 -- Full House

calisims 3rd Sep 2012 8:18 PM

Yeah, I haven't even bothered patching yet, I'm just going to wait for when I have SN. On that day, I'll clean out my mods folder and download all the updated versions of mods I use.
I have to admit, I've never been interested in zombies in the least, and I'm hoping Twallan will be able to make n 'off' button for them, since they are the only supernatural EA isn't going to let us control, except by turning off the lunar cycle. I'd really like to have the lunar cycle without zombies popping every full moon.

But I have a fairy-centered plot coming up for gen 2 of my legacy. Because I don't have enough fairies in my Simming, lol.

There's a very interesting discussion over on twallan's wiki page regarding how zombies will be controlled via the moon cycles if you're interested.

http://nraas.wikispaces.com/message...terbox/56073490

It gets a little technical for me, but apparently there's a couple of ways to tune the zombie settings by EA, and twallan will likely add further tuning through his Register mod, similar to the 'Animal control' function of his mod, which I am eternally grateful for to get rid of trampling wild horses, deer, raccoons etc on worlds I don't want them invading.

I lurve zombies, and I'm making a special town for them, but I will agree I want no part of them in my 'normal' towns! But then again I don't want any of the other occults there either (except the occasionaly simbot ... just wish they'd fix the freaking out reaction)

There are mods by twoftmama at Sims Asylum that stop reactions to Simbots and ghosts.

I look forward to Twallan adding a zombie kill switch to his Register mod. =D

Oh nice, I will have to check it out and give it a go, I absolutely love simbots. I had a whole household or two full of half sim half simbot (I called them androsims or simdroids) sims but the constant freaking out, even to one another, got so annoying I had to quit.

I used a no freak-out mod from MTS for a long while but that simmer stopped updating it and its broken now.

I'll be happy to have a no-freak-out mod again!

(honestly, how anyone plays the game with EA's screwed up AI and reactions is beyond me)

Zokugai 3rd Sep 2012 8:48 PM

Oh, if you want to see sims freaking out at occults, a simbot is small time...

Mummy ghosts. All I'm gonna say.

calisims 3rd Sep 2012 8:55 PM

Wel, cool, it looks likes bluegenjitsu has made a no zombie tuning mod. That will be great for me, because I want no zombies ever, but it wouldn't work for switching between a zombie town and a non-zombie town in the same session.

lovinglife17 3rd Sep 2012 9:02 PM

Hey everyone,

I had this really super annoying glitch that caused me to lose several hours worth of build/buy-mode edits to my legacy family's new house. It was looking so amazing and then POOF all gone. After hours of editing the house I tried to go back into live mode to play and it was stuck switching modes forever
This kind of put me off of Sims for about a day, and since Supernatural is so close I'm thinking I'll just hold off until I get it and play that for awhile until I'm over the loss XD
Once I get into the swing of the new expansion I'll probably start a Random Legacy centered around Supernatural =D
What this means is I believe I'm putting the Havens Random Legacy on perpetual hold until if/when I want to pick them back up. It's not all for loss though, it was a good first shot at Random Legacy gameplay and I'll be able to take on another one with more knowledge and direction

In the meantime I'll still be lurking this thread

Happy Simming!

Envie42 3rd Sep 2012 9:04 PM

Yes I agree... a no-zombies-ever mod is great if you just want to permanently switch it off, but I have so many different weird worlds I play, like my moon colony - all domes and super futuristic, and my tropical island survivor challenge with no roads and only beach huts and basic outdoor careers like fishing / gardening ... its hard to squeeze occults in there if its an all or nothing kinda thing. That's why I love twallan and his register mod SO MUCH. Register mod also allows me to turn off papparazi which made me want to stab myself with a pen when Late Night first came out.

Zokugai! You were SO on the nose right about Kanoa... its already happening! I snuck a peek at him by making his house my active household (more twallan magic via his Story Progression, so easy to switch households!). He already had romantic flings going on from day 1 of the game loading - sneaky EA! (love it though) ... so yeah, its fairly predictable what's happening in my game now since I had my founders become such good friends with their household right away. Definitely adding spice to my story though I'm not very far in yet.

Mummy ghosts. That's one combo I have never tried, haha! I'm very disappointed EA didn't give the option to mix and match occults in Supernatural however. I mean, who wouldn't want to see how weird a werewolf fairy would turn out??? Apparently you can mate the occult types but it will be a 50/50 roll which occult type the baby inherits. Boo.

I squealed with delight the first time I figured out a mod could help me make simbots and sims have babies together and they turned out half and half, soooo fun! haha.

ReyaD 3rd Sep 2012 9:22 PM

Vampires were also supposed to be 50/50 and look at how that came out...

My order os Supernatural shipped on Thursday. I am on pins and needles waiting for it!

kadience 3rd Sep 2012 10:46 PM

Oddly enough, having all the occults around, and the paparazzi doesn't really bug me.

I decided to get the direct download of Supernatural, since my CD-ROM has completely conked out now. I can't wait. I've already warned my boyfriend that I'm going to be playing it non-stop when I get it.

I know, right? He's ridiculous. By the time your Gen 2 grows up I guarantee he'll be exes or romantic interests with pretty much every female between teen and elder. Especially elder. He always goes for the old girls in my games.

Don't. Trust me on that. See, you get the sims reacting to the ghost...and you get the sims reacting to the mummy...but it's not half and half. If, let's say, they react to a ghost five times a day, and they react to a mummy five times a day, they don't react to the mummy ghost five times, they do it TEN times. They treat it like there's a ghost and a mummy in the same room, not like they're the same sim.

Just constant, constant "OMFG A MUMMY" "OMFG A GHOST" "OMFG A MUMMY." emotes...

September is a good month for me I guess...

(Actually I took too many pictures. Bleh.)

I just want to point out that it only took me god knows how many months but I totally finally found Raindrop Sabo's CC hair.

Isn't that also the hair I used on Callisto? And Arjun, when he wasn't wearing the hat of madness.

Loving it so far! And yes, isn't it funny how if you slow things down and actually watch their tiny lives up close, they make the most hilarious expressions? I use twallan's 'Relativity' mod to slow the clock down (good mod for those complaining there's not enough time in a day for pregnancies btw) during the daytime and wow what a difference actual play is now... I used to find regular EA play mode very boring and too fast. Now I am actually growing very fond of my sims because I get to spend more time with them.

Zokugai 4th Sep 2012 2:16 AM

*sigh* I suppose I have to finish patching for Supernatural, now.

Oh, accursed backups, how I hate making you.

Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place but I can't find any mods in twoftmama's collection forum to stop simbot / ghost reaction. Is it one of the other creators on the site who makes the mod?
