Family Trees
Post pictures here of your sim's family trees!
|
|
wow bp that's alot of dead legacy sims. lol
|
Mine isn't as good as BP's lol.....I made it for my story because I play with all sims born into the family so it gets a little hard to keep up with who's the daughter of who......The only deceased sims on the tree are the founders, Amari Taylor and Angelica Taylor
http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/...aylorFamily.jpg |
Wow, great thread!
Now we have a place where to post our family trees, till now I had posted mine in the family pics thread. I'll post it here after a little update. bP, your tree is wonderful! I like the pics of every sim and all the little symbols! And you know, we have something in commun, I have an Alice, an Olivia, a Morgane, a Duncan and a Riley too . And my Olivia and yours look a lot alike . MizzGin, great work! My tree ressembles yours as I have 3 sides of the family too. |
mine wont work for some reason
|
oh i love this! now im going to make a new legacy!
|
|
You guys are making want to start a legacy so I can post a family tree here!!
Great thread idea, btw |
Please help me, I tried posting mine, but it was so small i could barely see it? Why?
|
simtastic... Feel free to PM me about your problem. We don't like clogging up picture threads with questions. Thanks!

I need to update it but this is what I got so far |
I know family trees tend to get large, but please remember to either re-size them (to fit within our limits) or simply post a link to the full-size image. Thanks guys!
|
:D! I've always wanted to make one of these! Clicky down hear-

So interesting thread! I love it!
hjsnapepm, great family and great tree! Missy, I love your Tutti-Frutti family! Skuld, I love to see how the family members look like each other! Are you going to continue with it? novemberlove, I adore your Marlin legacy, they're all beautiful! Well, here's mine, the Bosco Family Tree. It's in 2 parts (they're 1200x1200 pics, so don't forget to enlarge with the little +): Part 1 (generations 1 to 7): http://i43.tinypic.com/34t69vd.jpg Part 2 (generations 7 to 13): http://i39.tinypic.com/166ejae.jpg |
novemberlove-Beautiful family! and nice tree!
Olil-Awesome famil trees! Your family has been around along time! By the way your famliy is beautiful! |
|
|
Thanks, angelsavoir
Wow, Olil, I knew that family was big, but not that big! Amazing family |
I love everyone's trees! olil, I'm impressed with how large your families are, and novemberlove, it's great to see the sims you post all put together as a family.
I don't mean to sound stupid... but is there anywhere I can find some kind of tutorial on how to properly put these together? I'd love to start one to keep track of my family but I don't know where to start. XD |
wow everyones trees are amazing, olil that is one huggge family
|

What programs do you use to put them all together? I have Photoshop, but I can't seem to get it quite right! XD Thank you very much for the link.
|
Wow. You guys give a lot of attention to legacies! My family normally only last two generations -.-

Olil yours is HUGE!!!
PunkyBreester I love the whole circular thing it looks great! |
Olil, Your family tree is MASSIVE! I never get passed Gen.2, but I'm determined on this one. You have a huge selection of skintones :O. Which sites do you use?
Novemberlove, Your family is beautiful . bP, Yours is so neat and tidy 8-0. I'll post mine when I actually have something to post . |
Thanks missysimmer
Olil... 0__0" How long have you been playing that family? lol |
I made a family tree with simple screen captures of the in-game tree and pasting them together:
here's my successful un-uglacy http://www.flickr.com/photos/16092711@N05/2036831740/ |
I made a family tree for the Hawthornes. It's not very big right now, though, because I usually get tired after two generations.
|
Thank you so much angelsavoir, novemberlove, Gemmareno, honeynutcows, Missysimmer and Punky for your comments! That's a lot of compliments, you're too kind !
I've been playing my Bosco family since mid-2007, so it will be 2 years this summer. So it's not so big considering all that time, but I've have few time for playing and I've made several pauses of one or two months during this time. About the family tree, I began with it when I was at generation 5 after seeing one of Bree and I remember it took me like 5 hours to learn how to use the tools and make the 1st version . But I was happy with it and I decided to continue updating it generation after generation, just for me, to have a souvenir of my Bosco family. sophieacd, theTurner family is great! Punky, wonderful family but I understand you're not in the mood to play it again ! Thanks Eat ToAst! Most of my skintones come from here http://www.modthesims2.com/browse.php?f=346&showType=2 and here http://www.digitalperversion.net/ga....php?board=13.0 Thaissa, good work and such an unique family! GSSM, wonderful family! Will you go on with little Sam? |
olil ur family tree's are awesome
|
These are really well done and it's interesting to see the families progress. I may try one sometime if I feel ambitious!!
Great work!! |
Olil, I have actually gotten back into my family and decided to continue with little Sam, and then some! Right now, Sam is a toddler, Kendall just adopted (the child will be here on the next game day), and Flick is doing her best to get alien pregnant! I am also working on remodeling their house, since there are SOOO many people living there now. (Thankfully, though, the founders and Tara have finally died of old age, so there's at least some room to breathe!)
|
Awesome family trees... and I just have to admire how some of you have enough patience do such large legacies.
I gave it a try too XD. Probably looks like crap with all non-direct lines and such but oh well... I just wanted to do Gordon's family tree because it's kind of crazy... and would still continue if I included all the half-siblings and such :D One of the sims there had a CAS made daughter so don't let that confuse you. Some of these sims are really old and back then I was stupid and didn't take enough pictures. It kind of saddens me how I have no decent pics of Gordon's wife Maureen =P |
Thrior - I think you did a great job with it. From seeing all the pics of Gordon over time in the other forums here I was kind of surprised his descendants haven't gone into more generations than they have. Unless that's what you meant by "would continue if..."
One of these days I'll attempt to do a family tree like the ones you all have, but I don't have any families currently that have gotten large enough for the tree to be very interesting. |
^
Thanks. Yeah, they don't go too far. I'm a VERY bad player when it comes to generations XDD. I play too much with aging-off and this family has a nasty habbit to produce such funny sims who I just don't want to get rid off :D |
all the trees here are awesome. my families take forever to have kids. i just have so many of them! like, 3 custom neighborhoods full. Anyway, congrats of being so patient.
|
I love seeing family trees! Reminds me that I really need to update the one I was doing for a few of my Pleasantview families... it's gotten so bizarre I'm having trouble keeping up with it now.
Thrior: It's awesome to finally get to see Gordon's family tree! I've wondered about the mothers of his various children. XD |
Wow some of these are biiig. I've been playing the same family for mannny years. But the family tree has over 1000 people in it and is impossible to draw
|
I just threw together a tree for my main family, the Eisenmanns. It seems so crude compared to everyone else's but if I don't do it now I'll forget names and generations and stuff!
|
Interesting families you all have. They're all different! :D
The most I've got is the fourth generation, but I haven't played with them in a long while. They go all the way back when I first got Seasons, I created them to try everything out and got really addicted to them. I made a family tree some time ago. Please forgive the Dutch and all the smiling faces. :P |
|
the dixon family tree it's missing the 1st gens but they died
|
WOW! a family tree form o.o!
ill wow this is gonna...take me while to get pictures of all simmies ( 12 gens ) most are dead so uhhh...lol IDEA! -calls grimmy to res them- -evil laugh- -zomg accidentaly made zombie- -epic fail- |
Channa- thats a lot of blondes!
it looks like an in game tree but i couldnt get all the people to show up on one tree so its actually like, 4 trees smashed together and here's my other favorite family, Hope is my favorite sim ever (literally) Boolprop Family Tree |
Mmkay, so I'm resurrecting this. Seriously, how did this one drop off the radar?
Inspired, I started putting together the family trees of my current Pleasantview residents (including baby bumps - cuz babies are people too, ) - right now I've gotten the first three in alphabetical order (click for full-size image; also I'm not sure how clear the names are going to be - I'm still fiddling around with image sizing. Ask and thou shalt receive a text list) : - The Brokes - The Burbs - The Calientes and Gonzagas (I mashed Dina's family, Nina's daughter and her husband's remarriage into one tree) |
My brother became my father-in-law!
|
|
After looking at the family trees, I decided I wanted to make one for one of my families. It's missing a few pictures...didn't realize I didn't have any pictures of them until the making of this family tree. So they are now just squares with their name in it.
|
Even MOAR Pleasantview family trees (the last of them, I swear, unless I can't get the Langerak-Lothario tree to upload. Photobucket doesn't seem to like it... maybe because its 28.6 MB... )
The Langeraks and Lotharios: To Be Uploaded Later - Photobucket hates it... The Pleasants: Anybody have any suggestions on how to get the family trees readable and uploadable? I can't seem to get the dimensions right. I'm using Photoshop, BTW. |
My tree is small and pathetic, but its still a tree
The cent family. Founder- Penny. Husband- Mayhew. Gen a-(l to R) Andrew Anthony and Alex(heir) Spouses- (L to R) Ivy, Marsha, Aaron Gen. B- Bambi, Becky |
This is Nummela Legacy Tree, untill Gen 7 so there's still 3 gen to come.
(I added only spouses of heirs/heiresses, but spares also got married and had kids) |
Man, Just seeing all of these fantastic trees shows how short my attention span is.When I set out to do this.....I get to 2nd or maybe 3rd generation
When matchmaking the children, do you make them in CAS or what? |
Mine have been marrying each other or townies. Pleasantview is on a strict No-CAS challenge.
|
your tree is wonderful! I like the pics of every sim and all the little symbols! And you know, we have something in commun, I have an Alice, an Olivia, a Morgane, a Duncan and a Riley too
|
Finally, the Nummela Family tree completed. |
Holy crow, Maranatah! I love seeing the legacy tree complete! Sadly, my Pleasantview Legacy is on my home computer, and I now live in residence at university, so the next few weeks while I'm student-teaching are my only chance to continue. I'm not getting very far, LOL.

Wow you all have some amazing families in your games. I've played Legacy challenge few times and once I managed to get to 15th generation, and not long after that my computer crashed and I lost it now I have started a new one but I continue the legacy with all the spares so the work is slow. I'm now on 4th gen. Here's my Kynaston family so far; http://s1114.photobucket.com/albums...ily21112010.jpg
great job you your legacy Maranatah, I loved your sims. |

After spending quite some time playing my BACC hood, I finally got down to making a family tree for my founder's family. It's only three generations long thus far, but due to its nature is already pretty large. I'm planning to make new ones for each branch as the generations progress.
EDIT: Now with only one "spouse pic" required and all children updated, along with aspirations for newly-fledged teens! :D |
my families
|
I decided to finally update the Winchester Family Tree. This is just the longest running family in the neighbourhood. There are many more but let's face it, 2 generations are just not as impressive as 4 generations with generation 5 on it's way.
|
Such amazing families.
|
The rather small family tree for the Brookes family - only two generations so far! :-) Click on the picture to see a bigger version! As well as a family tree, the Brookes family also has a timeline! :-) And a website - see the link in my signature..... |
My family is only 2 generations long but it still has my attention so i think itll be the one that makes it to three....
sorry about the three that dont have pictures. Al and Jackie both fulfilled their LTW's and Max and James are both 1 promotion away. Max was the heir for generation 1. Oh and Erica and Ryan are twins.... |
|
Every time I try doing a legacy family, I end up getting bored and quitting. I think I need a shorter lives mod :P
|
Mine is a work in progress. I play it from time to time (though sometimes I do speed up things a bit).
Marked in red are the heirs. I'm going to keep giving them alphabetic names. Also, it's not up-to-date, as Benjamin and his robot adopted a girl not long ago. But like I said: A work in progress. |

It's really messy and there's a LOT of family extensions, including Spencer's own siblings, which I didn't include. Also, the resizing thing made some of the text hard to read.
UPDATE 12/20/11: The first two generations are both deceased and the third generation is in its elder stage. We have a fifth generation, but since the father of the fifth gen was an adopted child (who later became an orphan... AGAIN...), I'm not completely counting that generation as part of the legacy. |
As my Sims game is currently not working properly (I've got the disappearing menus bug AGAIN and my laptop resists all efforts to fix it ) I may as well post the Maitland family tree (aka my Eugenics Challenge Family) as it currently stands.
It's too big to be posted as is, despite a resize, so please clicky the linky Maitland Family Tree |
WOW So many amazing family tree's! Makes me want my legacy to go even further!
Here is my legacy family tree: http://www.familyecho.com/?p=START&...214180522611838 Vanessa was my Foundress, and she married my makeover of Matthew Hamming (An EA made Townie) with lots of facial surgery. They had 3 children, and Carmen, the evil good-looker is my heiress. I'm hoping to se eit go on for a LONG time. |

petmama299, I am not a moderator but:
1. Please do not double/triple etc post... please use the edit button instead. That's what it's there for. 2. If you are referring to someone else's post, please tell us to whom you are talking to. 3. In regards to the "monkey thingy", this is (a) the wrong area of the forum, and (b) if you mean a piece of CC, please refer to the creator's instructions and/or read Downloading For Fracking Idiots for Sims 2, or TS3: CC Basics for Sims 3. Btw, the Sims 2 Help Topic IS actually called that; I am not calling you an idiot. EDIT: Right, back on topic - I finally pulled my finger out and remade my Appleby Family Tree, but with only the legacy line visible. The other one is just getting too big now I'm into 4 generations! Hmm... MTS doesn't want to know, so I'm posting the link instead: Appleby Family Tree. |
Lets see if I can post this in a way that makes at least a little bit of sense. I was gonna cut each face out and try to build it out full on one image, but that got really daunting really fast. Family tree of the sims in my neighborhood, original starter sim the male on the first picture. He took her name, Strange, because it was more unique than his, which i now completly forgot. the same case for the Salamis branch of the family, I liked Circes name alot better.
Calipoi (wavy haird elder in burgundy sweater thing) has a son and husband who aren't pictured, but you can see the son in my post in the Family portraits thread. And Manoli, the man to the right of her, was married but she died of starvation while pregnant, so its just him now. |
Figured I post this, since my hood is corrupted anyway. Sigh. |
No pictures (yet), but here is the Brettwaite family tree - including unborn babies :-) If anyone would like to see a photo of the family, there is one here. I'm sorry to hear that your hood's corrupt Fivey, I love reading about your sims :-( **EDIT** Rebecca & Phil's baby has now been born - a little girl named Sheryl :-) |

Slightly updated version of the Brettwaite family tree. Still lacking pictures, but now with icons (and several unborn babies on the way!)! :-) Pictures to come sometime over the next few days, probably before the weekend. I'm getting a teeny bit obsessed with the Brettwaites....! **EDIT** Edited to update the family tree - Kayleigh & Benjamin's twins have now been born and Dagmar passed away. A family portrait, taken a few hours before Dagmar passed away, can be viewed here. **EDIT AGAIN** Another update of the family tree - Jared has passed away, Cassiopeia's half-alien son has been born and Rebecca & Stephen are now married and their daughter has been born. I don't know how I'm going to manage to make the Brettwaite's family tree using Photoshop any more! Have a look at it here if you'd like to see why I think it will be so tricky! Suggestions and tips are very welcome! :-) |
thread revivaaaal
The Brussard Family Tree It's yuck because it was done on paint I tried! |
This is the up-to-date family tree compilation for Simtopia Isles. As you can see, there are seven main families, two of which are related to each other. The main families are the Ottomases, the Nova's (they're the two connected ones), the Beakers, the Curiouses, the Brokes, the Patels and Don Lothario and Vivian Cho, who are engaged but not married (yet?). Sims whose names are in faded letters are deceased. Some of the children are the ones that their mothers (or in Tycho's case father!) were pregnant with at the start of the game - Tycho Curious, Soraya Patel, Petra and Theodore Ottomas and Phoenix Broke were all conceived before the Great Disaster of 2012. The others were all conceived and born during the first 7 days after the disaster, whilst all of the survivors were living together in the Beaker Fertility Clinic. Over time I expect all of the trees to become connected, as these are the only residents in the 'hood (though I may introduce a few more sims at random intervals, if I can fit them in to the story) so the next generation won't have much choice when they are choosing their partners! :-) This second family tree shows which sims will (probably) not have biological children of their own - they are marked with red crosses. The reasons that they will not have children vary - Tycho Curious and William Nova are completely infertile, Shahzad Patel is partially infertile but won't have access to fertility treatment and Theodore Ottomas is gay and won't have access to the facilities required for him to have children using IVF and a surrogate (though if any of these four will manage to have children it'll be him, as he is fertile and could act as a sperm donor to a close female friend). So there are five fertile/non-lesbian females and four fertile/non-gay males in the next generation (so far!). Phoenix Broke is bisexual, though, so he could end up pairing up with Theodore (or Tycho, who is also bisexual). I'm hoping that a few more babies will be born into this generation, and I'm especially hoping that Heather will have another baby and that Don and Vivian will have one or two, but it's up to them (and ACR!).... :-) |
Marie Curious lmfao I love it

The Black family's family tree. Not a lot of them so far but I am enjoying playing them, which is good :-) |
Ella, aside from having to squint to make out the sibling ties on your third generation (those pictures are very close together), your tree is fine. I'll admit that Paint isn't the ideal program to use, but it's done the job you wanted Don't sweat it, we all like to see other players' trees!
I need to update that last one of mine again, as well as put together the ones of the families I've been playing recently... EDIT: I said I would, so here in its legacy-line entirety - The Applebys! Please be advised that the full family are not currently in sync, as I needed to play the main line through further during the Scrapbook Contest. If they had been synchronised the entire second generation would have little gravestones on their pictures... |

I am such a masochist when it comes to family trees. This is a small, pretty young 'hood and I am determined to maintain a tree of the whole 'hood. We're in Gen 2 and it's already pretty much illegible.
The Llanthes and Molliqs See? Illegible! Divar and Aram are brothers, and not Tristan's kids. Albhe is Tristan's kid. And in case you're wondering, Albhe and Aram produced Little Miss Giraffe long before Albhe was a married woman. I have to admit, unreadable as this bit of the tree is, I do like the symmetry of it... And yes, I am aware that the lines are wonky. >.> Click. Daremes and Slanes You'll notice a preponderance of single parents in these trees. Actually, the Slane twins do have a father. I knocked Crista up using the InSim and then killed daddy off as soon as I'd loaded their lot for the first time. Loris is a warlock, too. I should find an icon to add to the tree to indicate that... Click. Talars and Aslans No, it's not pronounced the same way as the fecking lion. Technically these two families are totally unrelated, but they've been living together for so long that I really can't imagine them separate. Although Leyla will be eloping in the relatively near future (with Loris)... Click. Coneys The new family in town. I won't start talking about them, because their family tree isn't very interesting, and everything else about them is so interesting I could write a bachelor thesis on it. Click. Aaand the lights keep flickering so I'm going to hit submit as quickly as possible, and say goodnight! |
|
Here are links to the family trees for Pleasantview Island. There are currently three different ones, two of which contain 4 families and the other one which is just of one family. Over time I'm sure that all 9 of the families will become linked and I'll be able to put them together as one giant family tree. But for now, we have: The Goth-Bachelor-Caliente-Lothario Family The Broke-Pleasant-Burb-Dreamer Family The King Family |
After working carefully through my notes on my BACC hood, I'm almost up to date on the insanity that is the GilsCarbo family tree: Take a peek, if you dare!
Names only at the moment; I'm hoping to sort out rough years of birth (and years of death for those who've passed on) in the near future as I work through the rotation. For those brave enough, don't worry if you're completely baffled by the various interlinks and the sheer number of sims... it's difficult enough for me to keep up, and I'm the one playing them all! |
