Ooh iCad, these are lovely, some of them remind me of British pebble dash walls. Think I need some pebble dash

And... I love your descriptions... charma, charma chameleon!!! (Have no idea how you spell that!)

@karen lorraine: They are sort of pebbledash-y, yes, especially the ones that have more color to them. And right now I'm grooving to a remix of "Miss Me Blind," but "Karma Chameleon" is one of my favorite songs ever.

@CatherineTCJD: Yup, I should've numbered them, but I'm just not (kissing to be) clever enough. Ah, the 80s, when pop music was actually good and the singers could actually sing, before all the autotune bullcrap. Queen was right: When the machines take over, it ain't no place for rock and roll.

I'm mostly found on (and mostly upload to) Tumblr these days because, alas, there are only 24 hours in a day.

LOL

Yup - Freddie, Annie, Cyndi, David, Simon, etc... great voices, each with different vocal qualities. And, fun lyrics *sigh*

Gorgeous as usual, iCad! Thanks for sharing!

(Nice to meet another 80's pop/rock fan too. Oh, how I loath autotune & "bubblegum pop" lyrics...)

You're welcome.

You know, what broke me with pop music was the boy bands. New Kids on the Block and their endless, evil horde of mindlessly pretty clones singing increasingly vapid lyrics. Up to and including the current iteration, One Direction or whatever the hell it is. I guess maybe I was just too old to "get it" at that point. The 80s were when I was in my late teens to mid-twenties, after all. So now I don't even listen to the radio at all anymore. I just listen to my massive collection of old stuff. Ah well. It helps me maintain my curmudgeon reputation. I'm just lucky I don't insist on big, crimped hair and leg warmers. Or maybe it's the rest of the world that's lucky....

As for autotune...Scourge of the music industry, really.A music critic once called it "Photoshop for voices," and it's so true. It's made it so that popular music is all about looks and presentation and not at all about actual singing ability. So long as the "singer" is pretty, the computer can fix their voice. Isn't that special? But the really scary thing about it is that it's also spreading to MY arena: Classical. We've always had the pretty young things like Joshua Bell and Hilary Hahn, sure, but they have both looks AND genuine talent. If the computer can fix a pretty young thing's playing and they just have to look pretty? I shudder to think..

^Yup. Floors and concrete stair recolors. I just have to wrench myself away from this object creation tutorial long enough to make 'em.
