I am partial to a nice bungalow. The only thing that strikes me as odd is that you have to go through the office to go upstairs. I have this imagined scene of Dad trying to do his paperwork at the desk and Junior rolling marbles down the stairs because it sounds cool, until he gets sent outside for being a nuisance.

The office could certainly be enclosed if you want to put a wall up. I actually considered doing just that, but decided to leave it open in an attempt to make the office feel larger and to avoid issues with sims congregating in a small hallway waiting to go up the stairs.
