Hi I downloaded the 21 day mod, which I have loved, but through testing I think I've noticed that it may also be affecting pets as well? I'm not entirely sure, but when I do have it installed it seems as though they either won't have the puppies, or it's just taking a long time for puppies. I'm not sure if I'm the only one having this issue, or if there's potentially a way to fix it? Any help would be appreciated!

Hello there! I don't have enough knowledge to really fix this... I only changed the pregnancy file in the sims game, changing the duration... it can be that is changes the pet pregnancy as well, because the file name is "pregnancy". If somebody knows how to fix this... be my guest. I don't really know how, I'm sorry.

Thank you
So glad I found your mod again I can't stand going into labor in three days because it doesn't make any sense with my style of gameplay. I like things to take time and progress so I can get more inspired to create new characters by what I've learned. This has been a big relief and I would use the epic pregnancy length but I am still trying to learn everything about the game and that takes up a lot of my focus and I can't have my sim be pregnant for some events. You're the only creator that has an up to date mod that actually works when you put it into the game. Kudos to you and please keep doing what you're doing.

I love playing long lifespans with long pregnancies to match. I had a thought though, would it be possible to make a version where the pregnancy bumps slowly increases in size instead of the sudden jumps? The three big belly size increases makes sense for a three day standard pregnancy. But I'd love to see a more gradual progression to match the longer span. For example, for my fav length of days that means one week per trimester. It'd be super cool to start no belly then get a tiny bit bigger each day, so by the end of the week you'd reach the normal belly bump distance.

Hello there!
I took a gaming&modding pause for quite a while, but I try to be back now... and to your question: I don't really know how to do that. Because the only thing I did was basically change the code of the days. I don't know where the percentage or anything like that for the bumping belly is... but maybe LittleMsSam has a mod like that? I remember she had a pregnancy mod with smaller bellys. Hopefully that helps?

If I didn't already have MCCC (which also allows setting pregnancy time in its Config file - hint, hint for anyone using it that this isn't working for), I'd be downloading this in a heartbeat!

But, well, that too screws with pet pregnancies. So just thought I'd toss this in here, for anyone who wants their pets to pop without having to wait. I figured this out myself last night, when after day 5 of a cat pregnancy, I just wanted the darned mini-fuzzballs already!

First, get the Sim ID of your pet. (Ctrl-Shift-C, testingcheats on, sims.get_sim_id_by_name <simFirst> <simLast>)

Then, when you're ready for the kittens/puppies:

sims.add_buff buff_pregnancy_inlabor_petcat <simID> OR sims.add_buff buff_pregnancy_inlabor_petdog <simID>

I can only guess that something conflicts with my XML, because if it is in only Sims4/Mods/SUBFOLDER ... so only in one subfolder... with nothing else... it should actually work. That is the only two things that you yourself could have "done wrong" - put it in too many folders or download another mod that conflicts with it.

I recommend Twisted Mexi's Better Exceptions mod, because normally if there is some major conflict with a script mod, it tells right away

I tried to list every mod I could think of that conflicts with mine, so if you don't have one of those... I can only recommend Better Exeptions

Hopefully that helps!

The downside with this mod is, there is never a moment where it tells you what stage they are at with their pregnancy. There is no notification to say which trimester period they are now in, and also there is no option to click on to find out.

Just to clarify... whatever should be available in the Base Game of the Sims is NOT CHANGED with this mod. So... if you hover over the pregcnancy icon of the Sim and the Base Game normally shows you the trimester or stage if you stay over it... it will still show. Which it should, because only the duration of the pregnancy is changed, everything else is as EA programmed it.

Hi, I'm new to adding mods onto my Sims 4 games, and I downloaded the 21 days pregnancy mod pack. I had added to the 'Mod' folder in my documents of the sims folders but it doesn't work. I took out other mods I added to see if it was one of them making it not work and also made a subfolder in the 'mod' folder but still nothing. I not sure if it's something I have missed or downloaded wrong.
Would love some help,
Many Thanks

It seems to me you put the mod into the right folder, either the Mod folder itsself or one subfolder. That is correct.

If it is more than one subfolder deep, that would be a reason for not functioning, but in mod or Mod/Subfolder is totally ok.

So the only thing can be you got another mod that is conflicting which uses the pregnancy file from Sims as well, like the following mods:

--> "Pregnancy Mega Mod" from ArtUrlWWW
--> "Pregnancy Mega Mod" from Scumbumbo (Old Versions, as far as I know those functions are now implemented in MCC)
--> Turbodrivers "Wicked Whims"
--> "McCommandCenter"
--> "Pregnancy Overhaul" from LittleMsSam

So the most common reason why my mod doesn't work is because people have MCC or Wicked Whims installed. If you have one of those, my mod is overwritten.
One reason because MCC and WhickedWims do have the function to change the pregnancy duration, like my mod does. So if you have one of those big mods, you don't need mine.

My mod is mainly for people who don't want big mods like those

Works with MC Command Center if you don't have the Pregnancy module. THANK YOU!!!

I love the idea for this mod and when I used it last time my sim was pregnant it worked like a charm. This time however, she gave birth in three days like normal, so I'm not sure if it works after the last patch.

EDIT: I redownloaded the mod and reinstalled it and now it seems to work fine again. I do not know what went wrong but it does work.

I just checked to be sure, but nothing in the pregnancy code was changed in any patch so far from EA, so nothing should be broken from the basic EA codes - so If some errors do occur, probably because of another Mod incompability.

Thank you for checking in though!

Hello!

Sorry for the creepy username. I just made an account to write here.

Thanks so much Havem for this incredible mod, it’s the only one I use and adds SO much to my gameplay! Unfortunately it no longer works since Growing Together, and I wondered whether there were any plans to update it? My Sims no longer have babies as three days is too short lol. Thanks again!

In testing, I had no issue with the 1-day version of this. The pregnancy lasted 1 day as expected... But I exited my test save without saving after Bob and Eliza had TRIPLETS.
