Murphy Bed No Fail

I saw icemunmun's NO DEATH - MURPHY BED mod and instantly downloaded it.

This bed is lethal. It breaks every night and 9/10 times you want to put it down it fails and you have an almost equally high chance of death trying to pull it down.

I couldn't get icemunmun's mod to work in my game. I'm not sure why, so I went into Sims 4 Studio and edited the tunings for myself. I see this mod as essential so I needed to get it working!
I also wanted to go a bit further from icemunmun's version, to something I wanted personally.

My version removes the possibility of failure all together, therefore at the same time making death from Murphy Bed impossible. It also reduces the chance of the bed breaking, so you don't need to get up every morning and repair the damn thing! I have removed this feature, as EA have altered how quickly the beds break, making my changes basically redundant.

Catalogue Details:
The bed can still be found in the bed catagory, and the price is also unchanged.

This affects both versions of the Murphy Bed (Love Seat/No Love Seat)

May conflict with mods that edit the Murphy Beds
I changed these tunings:
murphyBed_PutDown_NoLoveseat
murphyBed_PutDown

Additional Credits:
Sims 4 Studio
icemunmun (for the original mod) *Note: I have not edited icemunmun's files. I have made a fresh override and edited the EA files.

Thanks for this! I was reluctant to use this bed as the breaking/dying thing would get old real quick.

A required mod in every Sims launch, but please mark the mod page as requiring Tiny Living, because it still shows up in base game mod searches.

I will mark it as requiring Tiny Living when MTS adds it to the list to tick when uploading. It wasn't there when I put this up.

I just created a sim and he was dead on the first night because of the murphy bed. This mod is of great help though he can never be back 'cause I forgot to save him in the tray.

The murphy bed is not working. The sim will sleep on the bed for only few minutes(gametime).

I was playing with my mod installed all last night and it worked no problem. The only time my sim wasn't going to sleep and kept getting up was when I'd left her radio on full volume in the same room. Make sure that this isn't the case for you also

hmm that's the case... so now problem fixed! My tiny house doesn't have an individual bedroom unlike my last house so I didn't know that. Thx!

Don't households you make in CAS automatically save to My Library?

Thank you so much for this mod! Played a house with the Murphy Bed ONCE and swore I'd never use it again until someone came up with a fix for it! Now I can play again!

Can you make a version that massively reduces the percentages of death/breakage instead? The murphy bed being a death trap is kind of a Sims tradition.

I'm having the same problem with this that I did with icemunmun's mod. To wit:

I go in to play a household. I switch to manage worlds and place a community lot from my library. I switch back to the household, and when I go into build mode there, it immediately boots me back into live mode with an audio glitch. If I go back and try editing the community lot I placed, I get a weird graphical glitch as well.

I have absolutely no idea what would cause that problem.
The only things me and icemunmun changed were the murphy bed tunings.. This glitch doesn't happen without either mine or their mod, no?

There are 4 things included in my mod:
Object tuning: object_bedDouble_Murphy_Bed_Love_Seat (where I changed the breaking value)
Object tuning: object_bedDouble_Murphy_Bed
Interaction tuning: murphyBed_PutDown_NoLoveseat (where I deleted failure code)
Interaction tuning: murphyBed_PutDown (where I deleted failure code)

perhaps there's some conflict somewhere between our edits and another mod you have?
Do you have any other mods/CC in your game that even slightly touches the murphy beds?

Side note: I think this has brought to light I neglected to change the break value for the bed without the loveseat (thanks for making me look into my file to realise that. I will fix)

As far as I can observe, no.

If I do, I can't think what it would be.

I guess I'm just going to have to continue never using them.

They should still be saved in your library - you have to click the button on the side to include custom content to be able to see it even in your own library. Sometimes I have CC somewhere on my sim and I didn't realize because it was a skintone or an eye color that I have default replaced and forgot about it.
