Gates Factory

I’ve always been fascinated by derelict, urban settings composed of brownstone, glass and metal piping. The weathered architecture in itself has always inspired me, and so when I stumbled across a half forgotten texture folder of mine, my interest in constructing was immediately rekindled.

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

Your work never fails to impress me. This looks so real, it's just fantastic. I really love the whole "urban grunge" feel going on, this would be great for a few bohemian lofts Thanks so much for uploading!

I agree it looks just like gates rubber factory, plus the name. Too bad they’re going to tear it down, it’s a beautiful building. For those of you who have no idea what building we’re talking about…

Looks like my secret is out

Yes, this is loosely based on the Gates Rubber factory in Denver. They were in the process of demolishing the southern section when I had went, camera in hand, texture hunting. The building sprawled forever and the nooks and crannies were a photographer’s dream. I just couldn’t resist.

Most of the textures that I had used for this project were from that day (see the couple of attachments in this post).

This is beautiful. I wish I could use it though. Does it really require EVERY expansion & stuff pack though? If so, I be a sad panda. Oh well.

Regardless. It is still fantastic. Thank you for sharing your wonderful creations.
