Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.

The Chinese Take-Out King is obviously my take on the Chinese Combo King chain of restaurants. I needed a Chinese restaurant in Bridgeport--I mean what city do you know that doesn't have one? I really liked the way this one came out, so I decided to share.

The restaurant has a contemporary vibe, with a little Asian zest to liven the atmosphere. It's built on a tiny 10 x 10 lot so it can easily be placed anywhere.

This lot has NO CC, all you'll need is WA.

--------

Please note that the food register will not sell Chinese food. Instead, it serves "regular" food such as grilled cheese and pancakes. I know there is *some* hack out there that allows you to buy regional foods but for the life of me, I cannot find it. If you do know what mod it is, please post and let us know.

Got Late Night?
If you have the Late Night EP, you ca use the tip here submitted by the fair and lovely lozmc.

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

Looks very nice, and has a small footprint as well. Too bad it serves no practical purpose.
This would have been awesome in Sims2 nightlife though. wonder why they took away the ability to create restaurants anyways.

You *can* buy food from the register. It's just not Chinese food. It serves things like autumn salad, pancakes, etc.

This is so cute, and I'm pleased it's only 10x10 as I now use a tiny world populated with small lots (because my game runs terribly since LN), thank you!

Is that a cut-out opening behind the register? I don't recognize it. What window is that?

It's a mirror. You can see it better in the other picture which is from an angle. in that picture you can see her reflection in it.

I found that I had to let the game run for a couple of hours (sim hours) and then a cashier magically showed up the next morning.

So adorable. Very well done.

Can't you just use buydebug to buy a WA register?

you could put a bar from Late Night in there instead of the food register, then change the venue type to 'Fusion Lounge'. As well as buying drinks the food thats available are stir-fry's, egg rolls etc.
