This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
The one overused and abused object from TS2 that I miss the most is the Aquaplus Shower Stall - with the back removed. I've had this mesh sitting in my WIP folder for months due to the shower curtain animation impaling sims, so I finally dusted it off and finished it! No more impaling! Yay! The shower is designed to fit snugly into a 2x1 space, so the tub and shower rod is up tight to the walls, and the shower head and handles appear to be attached right to the wall.

Check out the moving shower curtain! Wooooot!

Technical Bits
  • Buy/Appliances/Showers & Tubs
  • §475
  • 4 Channels (tub, hardware, curtain, rod)
  • One preset (as shown)

Polygon Counts:
Polys are a bit higher than the EA expensive shower/tub due to the curtain mesh. Most curtain meshes are flat and EA attempts to add folds via textures - which I don't much like the look of - so I am using the curtain mesh from the TS2 shower.

High - 2693 (EA one is ~1700)
Low - 1572

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

YES! I have been wanting one of these for the longest time! This is the closest to my own shower/tub in my home that I have found-- although in my house the faucets are on the other side.
Thank you so very very much!
Love the shower curtain that closes too!

Thank you so much! I was JUST thinking about this the other day and how much I missed it from the game, (and also, strangely enough, the more old fashioned, porcelain combo with the "hoop" shower curtain rod... I rarely used it in TS2... but I wish I had it for the 1920's style mansion I'm building now...) Anyway, again, thank you SO much for this; I guess I've been having shower curtain withdrawal!
P.S. I'm NOT hinting about or requesting the porcelain tub... really...

What does EA have against shower curtains? This is so fabulous! I detest the other showers in TS3, so thank you so very much for creating this.

Yes finall a shower that makes sense.. the other that is with TS3 is ok, but this is better.. EA always seems to default to garbage.. Or maybe that is the 'genius' provide garbage and challenge the players to make it better...
