This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
The one overused and abused object from TS2 that I miss the most is the Aquaplus Shower Stall - with the back removed. I've had this mesh sitting in my WIP folder for months due to the shower curtain animation impaling sims, so I finally dusted it off and finished it! No more impaling! Yay! The shower is designed to fit snugly into a 2x1 space, so the tub and shower rod is up tight to the walls, and the shower head and handles appear to be attached right to the wall.

Check out the moving shower curtain! Wooooot!

  • 4 Channels (tub, hardware, curtain, rod)
  • One preset (as shown)

Polygon Counts:
Polys are a bit higher than the EA expensive shower/tub due to the curtain mesh. Most curtain meshes are flat and EA attempts to add folds via textures - which I don't much like the look of - so I am using the curtain mesh from the TS2 shower.

High - 2693 (EA one is ~1700)

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

I love this tub! And the shower curtain moves so seemlessly I am impressed. Is it only with your new tub or is it something I missed with the other tubs. But my sim's husband sat on the edge of the tub to eat his bowl of cereal. Is that normal?

This is so simple and perfect, I was wondering why not a shower like this was in the game. I don't download CC much anymore, but this one deserves it! :D

For some reason the pattern on the shower curtain doesn't show up on the outside of the curtain in my game, only on the inside. I've tried several patterns/plain colors and the outside of the curtain still shows plain white. I was hoping someone could help me figure out why...

I would suggest re-downloading the shower/tub and clear game caches.
Then try again
Good luck.

Thank you SO much for this. Really! I could NEVER understand why EA didn't put this in the game in the first place. It's so ubiquitous in SO many people's homes. Thank you again!

Heya! While, first off, thanks, I missed this so much from Sims 2; but I'm sad to say it seems to be breaking my game!

After I installed Generations and the 1.22 patch, I started putting my CC back in. Something in my CC was causing Sims 3 to crash to desktop, and after testing my CC, (using the 50% method from here) I found out that it was this!

If you want any other info, please let me know. I'm hoping this can be fixed, since I really love this combo.

Edit -- I don't know what happened (I didn't change anything, but I put it back into my downloads on a whim) and it seems to be working now. I'm sorry to scare you. The only thing I can think of is that I deleted some other CC (stuff I didn't use, didn't like as much) and that there was a conflict I missed in my testing. Sorry, and thank you so much for a wonderful (and needed) object.

Default Yep...I was right
This is an amazing and much-needed addition to TS3.

Having said that, has anyone else noticed their game freezing up after installing this item? My base game is up-to-date and the only EP I have is Ambitions. I haven't installed any other custom content lately, so I can only assume this showertub is the culprit.

After removing the tub from my Mods folder and restarting the game, everything seemed to work fine. So unfortunately I cannot use this item unless or until it is modified. *sigh*

I've had no issue with this (and I'm now patched to 1.24). I've been playing with this tub in a house/family for several patches. Sorry, can't fix if I can't reproduce it.
