Confused by ones related to Maxis "have 40 lovers"; yours say things "Have lots of...", or "Have X puppies". What does that actually mean?

Players may have these amounts customized, so instead of writing the exact numbers I wrote “lots of” or something similar. The wants are still recognizable, though, at least I hope so.

I love being away from the TS2 community and coming back to find amazing mods such as this. Thank you SO much, this makes me even more excited to start playing again!

Lamare, do you know when your mod assigns the correct lifetime want of a Sim? I generated a Sim with characterGenerator by simNopke, and her lifetime want doesn't fit her.
You said in your description that to have the Law Enforcement career want, you need to be Popularity or Family with 4+ crime interest, but she has only 2 points in crime :/

This will be such a life-saver!! Cycling through all the wants is so tedious.

I'm having a bit of confusion. I use Pescado's uni_ltws_sns to enable the Uni LTWs, however I'm not seeing your edit on the thread. I'm sure I'm just missing it. Could you tell me which reply # it is? Thank you!!

@Nostural, my mod assigns it when you click and choose, otherwise it is assigned by the game and may be rerolled by other mods. I can't say exactly when it happens when you create a sim like that (maybe when it sets wants and memory history), and I don't know how the character generator works. What you have could have happened if the sim's interests were changed after the fact. Does it work right when you reroll the LTW?

@liljadefern, in this thread, you can find my edits of Life Stories lifetime wants that are also a part of uni_ltws_sns. Edits to Uni LTWs are not required.

Ok thank you! I see it now in the Downloads section.

I just realized that I have this version of LS Game Development, although none of my sims are in this career yet. Will it work ok?

@liljadefern, no, you have to get the careers from MATY.

Oh, maybe it's because I have the Interest Ages Mod? Maybe the mod changes the interests just after the LTW is assigned
Can you confirm tho that born Sims are expected to receive a fitted appropriate LTW?

It's not how that interest mod works, so it's something else. Yes, sims are expected to receive an appropriate LTW, unless you have a mod conflict, and this is why I asked how it worked when you rerolled. If the chooser works for you otherwise, then your sim's case probably has something to do with how the sim was created. I can't say if it's a feature of that character generator or a common in-game procedure. I'll look into that just out if curiosity.

This is amazing. And the fact you've made the firefighting and social services careers work for LTWs is great too! I wonder if there's any chance you could do something similar with FennShysa's Agriculture mod. It's a staple for me - I consider it just about the best custom career I've ever used. It'd be great if my sims could get some recognition for dedicating their lives to it!

Rio made them, not me

I don't plan to add more career LTWs, there are other ideas.

Oh sorry, I missed that part
Yes, the chooser seems to show the correct LTWs -- it didn't display the LTW that was incorrect, that's how I noticed that the Sim had an incorrect LTW
I'll do more tests when I have time
Thanks for helping btw

So lovely! @Lamare You make some of my favorite mods!

I'm sorry, but I'm still confused after reading all this, though. The only related mod I have is somebody's LTW's for All aspirations that has 23 BHAVs and nothing else. (There seem to be a few of these mods, but this one is very simple. I think it just makes the uni ones available. I thought you might know which it is by that description, but maybe not. ) What I really want to know is IF I just want to use yours, do I need anything else to have all the Maxis wants available, and do I keep the simple mod or not?

This is amazing, thank you so much! Literally a life savior, no more rerolling over and over LTWs to find the one I want.

@Nostural, we seem to have a communication problem, probably because English is not my first language, but I'll try again. I was trying to ask if your sim receives a suitable LTW when you reroll it. It is not what the Chooser shows, it is what actually gets assigned to your sim and appears on his or her panel. If your sim gets unsuitable LTW only after being created with the generator mod, then it's probably because of how the mod creates sims and you just have to remember to change LTWs after creating sims in this manner. If you reroll LTWs and your sims get unsuitable wants again, then there is a problem, most likely a conflict.

Hey @Sunrader. If you can use HCDU of SiMidge, do that and find out if that mod conflicts with mine. Guessing by description is not very reliable, but if I were to guess, I'd say it sounds like it changes prerequisites for lifetime wants by removing aspiration requirements -- and it will definitely conflict with the chooser in this case. It doesn't say anything about Uni LTWs, so I wonder where you get that thought from. It's possible that the mod does more things that the name says, but if it only has BHAVs and nothing else, then it can't add Uni LTWs or any LTWs, because LTWs have other types of resources. Now to answer you questions. You do not need anything to use the chooser. If your simple mod does what I think it does, remove it or -- if it does something else -- make it load before my mod just to be safe.

I looked yesterday and could not find where I got it, but I vaguely recall it being a response to the uni LTWs going missing if nightlife was installed or something like that, but it was not the original one that Pescado made that did that. All I remember is that the Become Cult Leader and something else was missing and this put them back as well removing the aspiration requirement. I think I assumed it removed the university degree required, but I don't think I ever looked that closely to see. No matter. It sounds like I can just use yours alone. Thank you!

@Sunrader, if you have lifetime wants for Uni careers, they almost certainly come in another file, unless you have an odd game version I don't know about (I don't know much about the early days of Sims 2 and what old versions might have included). Anyway, you're right that it doesn't matter in regards to this particular mod.

In this update I have added three things:
- Shapeshifting - an interaction that changes the object model (dream catcher as base model and a few plant options).
- Rerolling - an interaction to randomly reroll sim's LTW (it's the same as bat box or sim blender has, but a few people asked to add it and it was quick, so why not).
- Support for future wants - a way for the chooser to work with any possible future lifetime wants without needing to update it for every new want. There's also a tutorial for modders at the bottom of the main download post.

You don't have to redownload, unless you're interested in these new options.

Let's hope this is the final version! :D

I just tested and Sims who have incorrect LTW want assigned get correct one by rerolling it.
So I conclude that's characterGenerator mod that does that.

I've tried creating some sims with this character generator and with in-game townie maker and haven't had a single sim with unsuited LTW, so I'm still not sure what happened to your sim. Maybe something else changed your sim's interests after the LTW was assigned.

Very weird, I did my tests with only your mod and the characterGenerator in my Downloads folder

Okay so this only seems to happen when I set this option when generating Sims, setting it to "None" doesn't seem to set a wrong LTW. (this option shows "There's a new family member on the way!" popup)

By the way, I have Lazy Duchess' RPC launcher with her randomizer.asi (to fix the First-Born Syndrom)
