KLGFCG, I'm sorry but I couldn't reproduce your error...
I've played for a long time in a lot, I've created also a shop where I have sold custom objects placed on the OFB shelves, and not a single time I had problems of resetting pets...

I've examined the log, but it's impossible to understand what causes the problem...

How does the conflict show up? The objects can't be placed any more on the shelves? Do you have errors, jump bugs and such?

The problem I'm having is if the shelfs run completely out of stuff then I stock it, I'm no longer to sell the items on the shelf, and any new shelfs created with custom stuff on it (stereos, game systems) aren't able to be sold, but I can place em on the shelf

Mmmhh... My mod only allows you to place the objects on the shelf (which you still are able to do); it doesn't concern the ability to sell them, once placed.

Reading you post, I see you mention two problems (correct me if I'm wrong):

1) You have a shelf full of custom content; you sell all the objects and then use the Restock option to restock the shelf; the objects are correctly restocked but can't be sold.

2) You place in the shop a new shelf, put custom objects on it, but these objects can't be sold.

As for problem 2, are you 100% sure that you are putting the objects for sale in the right way? I mean, you should first click on the little "lock" icon in the business panel (the catalog turns yellow) and then put the objects on the shelves.

As for problem 1, I'll try and reproduce the same situation in my game and will let you know.

I've tried, and I could NOT reproduce neither of the two problems in my all-EPs game; I have successfully placed on shelves and sold random custom objects; may it be a specific object that gives you troubles?

I don't see no lock icon... I started this business by downloading it here from MTS2, its the campout best buy lot and it was already stocked

Thanks a LOT for this! This, plus the 'non-perishing food hack' are the only hacks I have got so far in my game, but it is superb! My L'International restaurant is now working perfectly, it is shockablock with downloaded fake food and the sales are soaring. No more flies and green smoke, no more staying up all night cooking food for the inventory. I have all expansion packs up to Seasons. If you have never put a hack in, and want to put Customized Content on selling displays, I can really, yeah, really, recommend this one.

I found the problem with the misplaced signs after downloading the Hansel and Gretel Bakery. The sign appeared on the far, right corner of the lot. I wasted a lot of time baking everything I could think of, trying to find the right items to restock. After checking my inventory, I saw that I could see exactly what was needed to restock the missing items, so I did so. All of this happened before I used the moveobjects cheat. I finally got the items deleted, but have been too busy to Sim, so I don't know how things worked out.
I going to try the less version f your hack (I admit that I have some fears, but a quick backup and I should feel better). Thanks in advance for the great work.

Default misplaced restock signs
after reading, well scanning, all 12 pages (whew), i thought i'd share what i do as a temp fix to the problem of how to get rid of the misplaced signs. i use jm pescado's stuck object remover at the maty site.

Yes, that hack - at least - nukes *all* the misplaced signs at once, instead of deleting them one by one using the testing cheats...
Too bad no one (including Maxis) still couldn't find a solution for the problem that *causes* the signs to be misplaced...

Low environment culprit found
I've enjoyed this hack for a long time, but now I have the Seasons expansion and found a problem. Inside the greenhouse the environment score is completely red, after extensive testing I've found this hack to be causing the problem and must now do without it. I will surely miss this hack, can it be updated for Seasons?

Edit:
I'm so sorry I blamed your mod for the environment score, it doesn't seem to be the problem even though my tests seemed to prove it was. I'm going to put your hack back in because I users at MoreAwesomeThanYou said that sprinklers could break and cause zero environment. I didn't know sprinklers could break. The repair of the sprinklers cured the low environment scores. I came back to this thread just to say that the real environment murderer has been found. Case closed. Thanks for hacking, you are one of the greats.

I had a problem in my game with seasons, and after a long testing by taking out my downloads step-by-step, I found this mod to be the reason of it.

The problem: my sims, when sleeping in bed, get overheated. After some hours of sleeping, they get a heat stroke. I don't know what should be the relation to the placing of objects. But yes, the problem exists. But only with the MORE version. I tried the LESS version after discovering that, and it seems fine.

But I like the MORE version more, would be nice if you would be updating that.

Mmmhh... I'll try taking a look at the overheating system used by the game, but it's quite complex, I'm afraid... What I don't understand is why the LESS mod works fine and the MORE one not: they basically act the same way...

Maybe, in the meantime, you could run some other tests, to see if the MORE mod is really to blame: I suggest using the BaseGameStarter to create a new game environment ("Up-to-SSN") and install in the Downloads only my mod.

These are my results:

- With the game started by BaseGameStarter and only this mod in Downloads, the problem doesn't occur

- With the original game started and no downloads at all, the problem doesn't occur

- With the original game started an only this mod in Downloads, the problem does occur.

Just wanted to drop a thanks to let you know I appreciate this Mod.

I haven't actually used any mods or hacks yet but the more I read about you and what you bring to the game the more I start to trust your Mods

I'll just make sure to back up everything before I put anything in! Plus I read all the pages of every hack or mod I've downloaded thus far so thank you to everyone that takes the time to talk out problems and solutions and help us in deciding which hack or mod will work with another hack or mod. It can be a little confusing and overwhelming because of how many great modders there are in this community.

I couldn't replicate the overheating issue; I used this test environment:
  • AnyGameStarter, created a game with all the EP up to Seasons and no SP (the configuration shown in your profile).
  • Only the MORE mod in the Downloads (later on, I've tried also the MORE + LockedTiles)
  • A Maxis lot with a Maxis family
  • Double Colonial bed in the bedroom.

In summer, during the day, I made my sims play waterbaloons (so to heat them a little), and then send them to sleep in a (small) bedroom, with a lit fireplace, and they didn't overheated. I kept them sleeping for almost 24 hours.
Then I sent one sim to "Warm up" in front of the fireplace, until he got overheated; and then I sent him back to bed, and he cooled down.

So, I really can't understand what is causing the problem in your game. Actually, I've read on another thread that there was a problem of freezing sims if you created them in some custom CAS lots.

You said that you didn't have anything in your Downloads, while testing; but what about custom CAS lots (located in the game program folders)?
