ETA:
Just a notice to let everyone know, bandwidth is exceeded on the Box.com shared folders. The stats are reset every Calendar month.

Please download from MTS. And ensure you've read and understood how to work with Multi-part files, by reading the linked wiki articles I provided. If you have questions or issues in joining or extracting, please reference which line of the Multi-part files wiki articles that you're stuck at.

Medina lot's fixes have been uploaded. Please redownload.
Many thanks to bigfeef for bringing it to my attention.

There are some more possible fixes located in this thread at Carls Sims

http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/f...c,16695.25.html

Of particular note are the garage doors on some buildings and the zebra doors as well seem to cause pathing problems in some areas.

The fenced in area in one of the resorts....not sure if that was one of your fixes or not but it might have been.

The Scott family is a nightmare. I just delete the whole lot and family now when I start a new game.

Thanks for all your hard work, I have ALL your fixed worlds and use only them now.

I really love this so much i've been waiting forever but there's one problem. I don't have an island paradise folder under programs. I have others but i've noticed the games I've downloaded via disc appear,but the ones through origin, ambitions and island paradise do not show up. Perhaps you can help me with this as i really want to download it. Here's a link to the screenshot I Took. http://prntscr.com/26eh4p

@Trickai,
thanks for that link. I don't follow that forum, so I wasn't aware of the new replies.

But having said that, that thread is a generic LAG thread where everyone states whether they have lags or not, but is hardly forthcoming with information I can use for the routing fixes that I do, except for a couple that named names. Examples of routing reports that help me tremendously are
- babele44's reports in http://www.modthesims.info/t/506537
- bigfeef's reports in http://www.modthesims.info/d/514909
- MeestorMark's post#34 in the link you provided

i.e. reports that name the Lot, the Sim, the issue. Generic "I have lag in my game" issues does not tell me where I need to look or what I need to do in order to fix it.

ps: I never could replicate the issue of lag with the Scott family - ErrorTrap / Overwatch never reports them in my game on my system. So I don't know what to do about them. Just deleting Sims outright may have other snowball effect we don't know about as yet. Especially with the literally millions of permutations of packs and hardware and system that all our Simmers have.
Anyone has any Saves to let me tinker with?

@zeldagirl180,
is Origins set to download and install to default paths or have you changed them?
If default, the path to Origin games is listed in Game_Help:World_Routing_Lags/Wherewiki

If you also don't know if they are the default locations or not, this article have a screenshot to tell you where and how to find out. Game_Help:EADM_Issueswiki.
If the screenshot is different since that was taken ages ago, somebody with a newer and current version of Origin has to update that, please.

You're a lifesaver... I was worried I wouldn't hear from you for days at the earliest now I get to try it out right away ^_^ isla paradiso is one of my favorite worlds due to the loads of content available only there, and all of the space. I replaced the file now I'll test it and get back to you. You might want to put what you told me in the main description under instructions, since there could be people like me who are confused on what to do for origin downloaded games. Thank you sooo much!

It is! I tell people to read the wiki, right off the bat! I put it in BOLD below. I don't want to pick and choose a page for them to read or not, as then they won't read the whole thing.

If you're not already aware, broken spots in the routing is what causes Freezes and Lags in your game, as explained in Game Help:Intermittent Freezeswiki FAQ. To permanently solve this, the routing need to be repainted over in Create-A-World. This is the result of that exercise. You can find the full guide on how to use this in Game Help:World Routing Lagswiki.

Thank you for that, er, helpful report.
Is that when loading a IslaParadiso Save game? Or a new IslaParadiso game?
Can you help me with one more thing? Test with clean user folder, and load a new Isla Paradiso game? Does it still crash?
Also, do you have 1.63.5 or 1.63.4 patch version? DVD, Origin, or Steam base game and Island Paradise?

@trickai, do you have the Lot names of the Lots for the above-mentioned issues?
Oh! And none of the resorts were named in the Lots that I had touched in this fix. I'll take a look at that one, now that I know about it.

I tried everything. I started with a clean folder. I started with the usual folder. I tried removing all mods etc. I tried loading a new IP neighborhood and a saved game. I have a disc and update 1.63.5. I spent all morning trying to get it to work. I re downloaded the files.

No matter what I did the game crashed as soon as I tried to load anything connected with IP. It didn't even give me a crash log. It just crashed with a message saying it had encountered a problem and needed to close, so I figured Windows was closing it and checked to see and found it was, but I couldn't find out why. I have Windows 8.1 and I guess it just hates IP!

I have a gaming PC and I have 2 nvidia Titan graphic cards but IP has always been a bit irritating. However, as soon as I put the original IP world back everything loaded again and I sent my sim off to the future where there is no trouble at all.

That "encountered a problem and needed to close" error message, what was the exe named? Sims3Launcher or TS3W or something else? Or just the generic Sims 3? Do you bypassed Launcher when you started the game or did it via Launcher?
Does anything from here Game Help:TS3 Load Issues#Crashingwiki help? Or, work through the longer Game Help:Sims 3 Crashing Checklistwiki

Have the .sgr files been edited to include the nvidia Titan ID? Game Help:Getting new graphics cards recognized by the gamewiki

Can you tell me the filesize of the IslaParadiso.world that was joined? And what do you use to joined the split .rar files? WinRar, 7zip, something else?

Out of curiosity, do you have any of the other worlds' fixes? Do they work without crashing the game?

It is just a crash to desktop; not a system crash? What does the Event Logs have to say about this event? Did anything get recorded?

Oh, and what driver version is currently installed? I've read reports that Windows 8.1 does not play nice with video drivers. Nvidia may have an updated one out by now...if you haven't updated, yet.

Ella....I don't have the lot names but I can find them fairly easily I think. One of the resorts uses them (not the one with the pool issue, and not the cheap resort, but the vip rooms of the third resort has the zebra doors). I think there are only 2 other lots I found that had zebra doors I will check and see if I can find the lot names.

As for the Scotts..yeah some people seem to have no problem with them while with others they seem to be a nightmare family. For me they caused all kinds of problems, while my best friend (who has a much less powerful computer than mine) can run IP with no problems at all and no problems with the Scotts. Drives me nuts.

EDIT: Okay the resort is called Sparkling Sands and has two vip rooms with the zebra doors. There are three lots that I regularly get unroutable errors for the sims there, all three lots have zebra doors as well....so I am thinking it is these doors causing the problems. Medina, Dregg and Alto are the three lot names.

I got lucky and had the info written down in my notebook so I found the quick.

I have the newer version of the base game which means I can only launch the game through Origin which then brings up the launcher. This version does not support launching through TS3W. My files have been edited to accept my graphic card and I downloaded the files from here twice and used different methods of joining them.

I have no other world fixes and it was not a system crash, it just returned me to the desk top. Origin remained open. I have my graphic cards set to automatic update so I have the latest drivers which installed not long ago.

The event log was not helpful and said there was no info available. I looked at the crash log analyzer and very helpfully it said custom content caused the crash which wasn't helpful because it still crashed when I tried it without any custom content at all.

I have read through everything on crashing in the past and found it extremely unhelpful. So I admit I haven't looked at it this time.

The problem is with this version of the base game you cannot use CAW as you can not use the edit in game fuction because it just brings up Origin, so I cannot fix these files myself.

I have investigated ways to load without Origin but it seems only buying an old version of the game will help and I can't find any. I have an old version of the game on my laptop but I can't install it on this PC because it was a digital download and Origin will not accept the serial number.

I am thinking of installing CAW on my laptop and doing the fixes myself on there and then saving the file, eventually, as a save game. Then I will see what happens when I put it on my PC.

A save game would work I think and I can use it over and over again with different names. Thank for your reply and for trying to help.

Sorry, @Trickai, but what exactly is wrong with those Zebra doors? What is it causing or not allowing the Sims to do? I don't have an issue with them in an unfixed IslaParadiso.world on my setup. How or what do I do to replicate whatever issue you're encountering?
In the unfixed world in my game, the Sims in all 3 of those Residential Lots, as well as @Sparkling Resorts passed the door's threshold just fine when directed (random doors, would take me sometime to test out every single door on a lot). They are also using spiral staircases, with "Go Here" though as the "Use Stairs" interaction is disabled (I'll try out different stuff on this). Is the issue with Inactives using them, or rather not using them? Do you have a Save you can share queued up to the point to show me this? I don't have the time to wait around to monitor Sims actions if this only shows up in Saves that are weeks or even months old, especially if the issue only affects NPCs/Inactives/Townies.
Is there a way I can see this on a game that is on Week 1 Day 1? Or is this one of those issues that accumulate over time?

@kampffenhoff,
you're playing offline, yes? Logged off from Origin, Launcher and the game? How about the stuff in the Crashing Checklist - like disabling in-game-store options?
Ever tried 3Booter by Pescado? I've always wondered if this could help in the Origin<-->Launcher "Go Social" debacle that disable the bypass of Launcher.
You're still testing all this in a clean user folder, aren't you?

Alas, renaming Save games won't work, if you place the fixed world after the Save game was started. As stated in the FAQ section of the Routing Lag wiki, one of the patches disabled this. So, when placing a fixed world, the fixes would be available only in a new game from that point forward.

What does "used different methods of joining them. " entails? Different programs?
I wanted to compare the filesize of the joined .world file that you get to see if the different archiver tools joined them differently.
Also, when I asked if the other fixed worlds work for you or not, I was hoping to determine if it is something with my methods of creating this split .rars/.world files for Windows 8.1 systems that it don't like. If you could please answers these 2 questions? It would help for others who have these issues too...

OK. I used file joiner and z zip. Both gave me size 93.3 MB. I am playing offline. I always play offline and I have Origin not connected to the internet.

3Booter is to kick start the game if it wont start. My game starts fine. I just can't use IP if this fix is installed. Everything else works.

I use the same Save game over and over. I don't think we are talking about the same thing there. I load a neighborhood and alter it. I add Sims, houses etc and then save it under some name or other. When I play again I load up the same save game and then re-save it under a different name and play.

I shall now get another fixed neighborhood and see if that plays OK. Will let you know the result----

Tried Riverview and it did not appear in the game. It just wasn't there anymore. It seems these fixes just don't work in my game. I have no idea why.

Sorry no, I don't have a saved game. It usually only took a few days although Medina was almost immediate. Overwatch would catch them as unroutable and they would be good for another day or so. But if you can't replicate it don't worry about it. It's a minor problem and when it happens, if it happens, I know how to fix it. The problem was that none of the sims would use those doors. I never played those sims so they were NPC's.

*shrugs* Like I said, no worries. If they work fine for you then the problem is likely on my end perhaps a bad install, a missing item or something.

@kampffenhoff ,
filesize of 93.3MB is the same as what I have. Can you try with WinRAR and 7zip though? As I've never heard of "z zip".
Offline is good, but playing offline and not being connected to Internet is two totally different things. You can still show as being online if you never logged off in a previous session; especially if Origin is disconnected and Launcher is no longer "talking" to Origin. Which may also explain the crashing, when a new element like the changed world file is introduced. Is it just disconnected or also blocked in the Firewall? Also, while being offline is good, the options is also a separate thing - is the ingamestore and interactive loading screen setting still enabled or already disabled? Especially since you're using a clean user folder...
3Booter: that is not its only function. OK, then. If you don't wanna try; I'm just providing options to exclude Launcher and Origin from the equation.
The fact that introducing a new file is crashing the game may mean the game is trying to reference something that I had "touched" to fix in the world file.
You're using a clean user folder, though, right? How come there are still Save games to load? We are talking about the same thing. When you introduced the fixed .world version, there's a disconnect from the Save files to the fixed world file. So whatever fixes are there won't be reflected in the Saves that were created before the fixed version was added. Your method means that you have to at least start with the fixed world version with a New Game one time, and redo all your changes all over again. Which is not possible now since it has been crashing.
If you have been using clean user folders, that's why your Riverview InstalledWorld is not there, remember? Try SunsetValley.
Last tool in my toolbox is to ask you to try Process Monitor and closely monitor what file the game was reading last at the exact point when the crash is occurring.
As the Box.com account has exceeded its bandwidth cap, I'll have to look into using other servers. You may try the joined .world file once I uploaded it somewhere, I'll update the post once I do this.
Wait, did I ask when the crashing happened: at the initial loading or when you selected a Save/New game? Did we establish if it is the game loading itself that is crashing (i.e. while at initial loading) or upon loading a Save or a New game?

@Trickai,
the fixed world still triggers issues for the Medinas for you?
I may found a probable cause, but only for the Alto Lot. The zebra door to the balcony won't snap back to the wall if I pick it up in Build mode. It is as if the wall is not registered - I get "must be against wall" error when I try to press the Esc key to let the door snap back in place. Tearing down those 2 walls and re-adding them solve that lickety-split.
Dregg houseboat: zebra door wasn't set as Front door.
Sparkling Sands: spiral staircase need to be rotated.

@kampffenhoff & @XhexSymphath,
as I've been saying all along on this page, you cannot use a previous Save once you placed the fixed version of this world. You'd need to start a NEW GAME. At least once.

@XhexSymphath,
are you also on Windows 8.1? If you need help diagnosing why this file is also causing crashes in your game, I need the same questions I asked @kampffenhoff answered. Please go through post#36 & #39 and any new questions I raised in this post.

The first thing I tried was 7Zip.

With the save games thing what I meant was you play a neighborhood in a new game and then save it. Then you can open the save and re save it under a different name. I think that's what I mean.

The crash happened when I attempted to load the fixed neighborhood. It was fine until then.

I am getting a bit confused with all this mass of English I think.

Added later---just downloaded the files again and joined them with winrar. Made sure Origin was in offline mode. Loaded up game and it worked. Just left it for a bit to tell you. No idea why it didn't work before unless Origin put itself online without me noticing. It may have happened when I updated drivers a few days ago. Anyhow, it loaded fine. Now I shall have to add my vast collection of Crumbs and their criminal relatives.

See above. I added something to my post. I think I got confused with all the English. When I am faced with a lot of text my brain shouts swear words at me and not English ones and in between all this I had to stop and sew a leg on a Teddy bear because OH can't sew---

Anyhow it is fine and I have had to stop playing almost right away because family need to be fed and they are massed in Kitchen fiddling with things.Thank you very much for your work and efforts to help idiotic me.

I have figured out what happened. I had to reboot my PC when I updated one of my drivers and when I did that Origin must have gone Online again. The crash, when I investigated it, was an Origin crash. It was because I didn't notice that Origin had gone Online again.

The Resources thread have to wait a couple of days for the new Guidelines to be in place, as the archive have grown larger due to the Terrain and Roads now being included.
