No Dishes in Bathroom Sinks

These are tuning overrides that remove the dishwashing interactions from eight different sinks (those that look like one would use them in a bathroom), to be able to better control where sims can and cannot wash their dishes.

2015-12-15: Updated for 1.13. This is not compatible with earlier game versions since object states (dirty etc) are defined differently as of 1.13.

In the zip are eight separate packages for all of the Base Game pedestal sinks and the “Ovum Bath Sink” (the one on the picture above) -- see the catalogue screenshots for which is which.

Note that the Bureau sink is using the generic sink tuning -- it is not in use for any other sinks in the base game, but EP/GP/etc users should doublecheck with/without that package in case sims seem to have issues using EP/GP sinks for doing dishes (they may or may not be using the same tuning). I only have the base game so I don’t know.

Thank you so much. I desperately needed this mod. So sick of my sims taking their dishes from the kitchen all the way to the bathroom (upstairs in some cases) to wash them. So annoying.

Thank you so much! It was driving me crazy, Sims going up 2 flights of stairs to wash dishes when there was a perfectly good sink right there!

Does this mod work w/the latest patch (Dec 4)?

I never understood why my Sims always took their dirty dishes to the bathroom sink. I mean, seriously, there is a perfectly good (and larger) sink in the kitchen. So thanks for this!

I think these are outdated in my game as well.

This mod doesn't work with the latest patch. It causes a glitch where your sink doesn't show as dirty and cannot be cleaned, but sims get the moodlet that it is dirty. Even without all mods and CC but this one, I still get this glitch. Remove this mod and I am able to clean dirty sinks again.

I believe it's the reason my bathroom sinks stopped getting dirty, but caused a consistent "Dirty Plumbing" moodlet on my Sims. I will spare you the long and tedious story. It even involves Crin trying my save and not being able to reproduce the problem (she played no mods/CC). I took your mod out and my bathroom sinks started to get dirty as usual and I was able to clean them and the moodlet went away.

In the end. I feel a tad stupid, as I had no idea this would break with the patch. As I said - it's a long story.

Updated. Yes, object states (such as dirty) work differently in 1.13.

I do believe the non-base game sinks use the same tuning. I just tried it out by putting two of them in the bathroom and selecting the "Clean up" interaction on a plate there. Even though my Sim was standing right in front of them, completely accessible, she still went downstairs and walked all the way to the kitchen just because there was a kitchen sink there.

Nothing like practical testing to know for sure if something works, eh?

The Sims 4! Weirder Sims! Aren't they weird!? Look how weird they are! Bet you can't wait to see how weird their stories are!?

Is this compatible with the 1.13.106.1010 patch?

The Poulton Footed Sink Vanity doesn't seem to be getting the dirty state anymore, but the cheaper sinks I was using before I upgraded to that one seemed to be working just fine. The sink does not turn dirty and also dishes can be washed in it. I downloaded the latest files and I am not sure why the cheap ones seem to work but the more expensive ones do not.

Does that happen without other CC as well? Sounds like there would be something overriding the object tuning with a copy of the default which is outdated.

So very much needed!! Even with a dishwasher and a sink, my dad took the plates from dinner upstairs!
