i tried this with studio 2.5.0.9 i just made a simple recolor to test. when i place it into the game i get a script not found error and the car vanishes?

Hmm, that shouldn't be happening. The scripts are just XML files, so it should transfer over to the cloned version just fine. I'll take a look though - my packages are quite messy and there are a bunch of old duplicate scripts between them (I made each car by cloning the previous one and then editing the scripts to change the emotions) which is probably complicating things.

Many of the scripts also aren't named in such a way that makes them easy to recognise - the actual object tuning for the cars, for example, is called "scumbumbo_enabletestingcheats" because the first car I made was based on a tutorial Scumbumbo posted.

When I was making the cars, I didn't really intend to have people looking through the packages, but I probably should at least clean them up if that's the reason they can't be cloned. In the meantime, try using "selective clone" instead of "standalone recolor" and make sure Studio copies all of the scripts over. That should work.

no good selective clone gets the same results so does change mesh.

Heads up. When XurbansimsX reviewed your mod on YT, she was buying and selling the cars to show them to us. The 2 cheaper cars were giving back 20k instead of the amount she was buying them at.

Once you've extracted the five packages into your mods folder, the cars will be in the Hobbies and Activities > Misc. section of Buy Mode.

I do not see any cars. I also don't see hobbies and activities, I do however see activities and skills and there is nothing there.

Default price
I don't know if I could physically change it, but, the cars are way too expensive. Looking at the sims 3 the cars went from 900 upwards.

In my game it shows an empty bubble instead of "Drive to...", I think that's because my game is not in English. Do you plan to add translations? Nice mod, by the way.

Hi guys.

@Achanelxo: Assuming you've extracted the packages correctly, they should be there. Make sure you're in the Misc sort - they're the last five objects as they are the most expensive. You have to scroll down to find them. I have no idea why they wouldn't show up at all.

@Taz1096: I elected to make the cars the prices they are so that there's something in the game to save up for. The Sims 4 seems to be really lacking in expensive items, and I thought cars would be a perfect fit for that.

@XtraSim: I'm still not sure what exactly is causing the clones to not work, but I've discovered that the packages - in their current state- are quite unstable. If you merge them together, for example, they won't work. It's likely because there are lots of duplicated scripts across all of them and I never really cleaned this up. Once I figure out which scripts cause this problem, I'll be able to update the cars so that you can clone them.

@lexus20: Yep, that's the problem. I can't really translate the mod myself, since I'm not bi-lingual, but I can implement translations that other people provide. I've already been provided with a Polish translation that I intend to implement when I have some time.
