This is a featured upload! It showcases the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.

This set gives you another option in decorating your hoods.
Now using these custom ‘hood decorations, you can add a regional airport to your town, business area, university camp or whatever!

Since all main objects are extra large, they use an extra large custom textures so use this set carefully if your computer isn’t strong enough.
I've set Night Life EP as required for using this decorations, but the idea is that you need at least one of any EPs installed,to have this decoration aviable from 'hood decorations menu.
But it is also highly recommended to have a Free Time EP installed, to be able to edit exiting terrain, for better use of this set. Because of it was created for totally flat terrain, it may look bad on any kind of hills, mountains and terrain slopes – please keep this in mind when you will work on a decorative airport in your neighborhood.

Just put all the *.package files from the zip to your ‘Downloads’ folder.

What’s inside:
The set contains 5 elements:

1. Airport terminal.
An object that includes terminal building with a control tower, road approach and car parking (all in one).
Can be found under “infrastructure” of the ‘hood decorations menu.

2. Airport Runway and tarmac.
This object includes a runway, taxiways and tarmac. Navigation towers also is a part of this object.
Can be found under “miscellaneous” of the ‘hood decorations menu.

3. Airport Hangars.
This is a simple object contains 3 airplane hangars with a taxiway.
Can be found under “miscellaneous” of the ‘hood decorations menu.

4,5. Airplanes.
An airport without any planes? No way!
These 2 objects is a small Cessna looking airplane and bigger one that reminds some kind of business jet.
Can be found under “miscellaneous” of the ‘hood decorations menu.

Few facts:
Since it’s a set of separated objects, you can make some variations in layout of your own airport:

All the objects can be placed over the road, and also, over the lot.
You can build your own airport buildings complex using the lots and combine it with some parts of this set to make an airport of your dream.

Polygon Counts:
Jet Airplane: 1299
Airport Hangars: 94
Airport Runway: 2746
Small airplane: 690
Airport Terminal: 3403

im wondering is it just me? Today ive been doing a neighborhood, well this is number 9 lol waiting for the new set. I placed the airport terminal did all the decor etc. I entered a lot to look out at the distance to see what it looked like, even though its awesome. I did however noticed that the terminal is slightl raised above the ground and you can see the ground texture underneath, to me its not sitting flat on the floor, or am I doing something wrong, everything else is fine? I have tried different variations, but its the same. I dont use any camera mods.

Midge, that's okay. lot mode terrain level is a little lower than in 'hood mode, so thats why it looks different

Keep it coming! I love neighborhood objects, there aren't enough. The only problem is it takes too much time linking everything up for me to put a lot in all through my neighborhood. Does anyone have a good neighborhood zoom in camera they use? Any suggestions?

Thank you for sharing, Criquette! Looks like you've put a lot of hard work into all of your neighborhood deco You're very talented and I hope you keep making objects for the Sims 2!

Attn: BuffaloLips36 - Heads up for the "Enhanced Gameplay Camera Mod" by Tom420 @ MTS2. Look under "Game Mods". I have not used it myself, but have downloaded it, with intentions to try it. Sounds like a good set-up to me. You might give it a try.

Is the issue of them over-riding the marina set been sorted? I'd like to grab them both. But since I'm on dialup I'm holding off grabbing the bigger airport set until I know if I can have them both in Cool set, though.
