Very cool. I think it looks better thank the default alarm. 4 stars. Thanks for sharing this with all of us on MTS2.

Good idea. It's nice to have a different mesh for the alarm, rather than just recolors. Also, thanks for making it smaller.

Well I tested it out and I found a bug. After when you place the alarm unit on the wall, the unit cannot be selected again if u wanted 2 move it or delete it. Might want to check this out. =)

No problem in my game .
Try to select the alarm on the red light and tell me if it works in your game.

Does it work when burglars arrive? I remember hearing somewhere that cloned alarms didn't get set off when the house gets burgled...

It didn't work when burglars arrive. I couldn't figure it out how to make cloned burglar alarms work to alert for burglars.

Update: July 2009-I am back now to make invisible and tranparent recolors again in sims 2. You can pm me if you want your objects to be invisible and transparent from now.

Norval,

did you test this alarm? and does it actually go off when burglars come?
otherwise please tell your downloaders
I know many have tried to mesh a burglar alarm, and it ended up not working.
If you found out how to do this, please tell us how in the create forum

Your burglar alarm did not go off at all for burglar alert in my game.
