Title: Newbie Road 55 [NL] - Starter House
Category: Lots & Housing > Residential > Starter Homes

Cost: 19.970
Lot size: 2x3

Nightlife expansion required.
No custom content.

Two-story starter house for 1-2 sims, lightly furnished, with covered entry, terrace, and two driveways.

1 x double bedroom
2 x bathroom
1 x kitchen/dining
1 x living room (unfurnished)

Basic appliances included: lights, toilet, bathtub, fridge, kitchen sink, trashcan, phone, burglar alarm, smoke detector, bookshelf.

Expandability: An attached garage or carport can easily be added; the top floor can be expanded on top of that (or you use the roof as a terrace).

If you get an "expansion pack data required" error upon installation, use Clean Installer instead of the Maxis one. Apparently this is a known issue (not specific to this download), see this thread describing the problem and this post (daysies) explaining the workaround.

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

Thanks =). I just realized that I apparently haven't put any carpet on the stair landing (it's difficult to see because of the stupid light rendering in the game) ... please add some if you discover that your room score is suffering. Will pay more attention next time =).

I really like this house, even though the style is very basic. I like the houses I use to be very average and not so huge and costly. You did a good job.
