This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.

Update: New versions added! See below for pics. - Mar. 9, 2008

These 'boxers' had been on my list since I tackled the ugly Men's Swim Trunks. There were right next to each other in SimPE, so I couldn't help seeing them and remembering how terrible they are. After some thinking, I decided that no, we don't need silk boxers (thats the name Maxis gave them). I decided that flannel would be a good replacement, some of my favorite jammies are plaid flannel (though not boxers, ... thinking about it, maybe flannel was a odd choice too). Anyways, maybe we can go with they are faded plaid cotton, that would make more sense. Whatever, doesn't matter. All that matters is that they now look good enough to use again, did I pull that off? I hope so. If boxers aren't your thing (or even if they are), make sure to get my Briefs Replacement Set.

If you find that you like them enough to want them as PJs as well, I included a .rar that does just that. That file goes in your Bins folder, if you aren't familar with it by now though these sets of mine, you haven't been paying attention. It goes here: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Bon Voyage\TSData\Res\Catalog\Bins (or whichever is your highest expansion pack folder). You can put these files in your Downloads folder, but if you do, the delete button will be enabled in CAS and Body Shop. Do NOT delete them in CAS or Body Shop. Doing so may corrupt some of your game files. To remove the outfits from your Sleepwear bin, delete the package file from where you installed them.

Ok, enough out of me, have some pics:

I brightened up the plaid a bit and made the waistband darker. Not too much of a difference, but I found I still wasn't using these as much as I could have been. Since I still didn't like them, I fixed them again. Here they are, I'm leaving the old ones up in case you like those better.

These are DEFAULT REPLACEMENTS, meaning, when you place them in your downloads folder, they will act as Maxis clothing, completely replacing their counterparts. This includes sims currently wearing them. If you want to remove mine and return to the maxis versions, just delete my package from your downloads folder. Btw, if you want your clothing catalog images to reflect these changes, delete your thumbnails folder: C:\Documents and Settings\(yourname)\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Thumbnails. The game will generate new ones. If you want not default versions, check out this thread of mine.

BTW, I've got more default replacements, check them out here !

Enjoy!

P.S. I love reading comments! Leave me a couple?

As always, Phaenoh, I love your work. Much less plastic-y looking, thanks! I always thought the Maxis ones looked like swimsuits...so this is much better. They actually look like underwear now!

Thanks everyone! I love reading comments, especially ones that shower me with praise...heh.

And ganymede? That was totally the reason behind everything I've been doing. Personally, I don't download many clothes, so I need to make all the Maxis ones usable. (I sim on a laptop, so too much CC makes it throw fits, so no offense all you clothing creators out there, my compy just can't take much).

I always called these, plastic, too! They look hard and shiny--hardly what you'd want to put next to your most sensitive parts.

The plaid look is much more realistic. Thanks for all your hard work to make the Maxis defaults look a little less ridiculous.

I totally agree, they should hire you what was Maxis thinking?!? I've always hated the Maxis versions, but thanks to you, I can actually use them in my game again. THANK YOU!

I've always fantasized at becoming a Maxoid. Thanks for the comments! I like to pretend that I'm an after-market maxoid, someone not paid by EA, but rather hired separately, and secretly by Maxis, to fix everything that they didn't have time for because EA made them rush through their game. ...hate EA.

Who knows, maybe I'll get a co-op with Maxis. That would be hella-sweet. I am in a design school after all...

Sorry starbucks, but I rarely revisit my work (unless something is actually wrong with it, then you can be sure it will get fixed in a jiffy).

(singing) no more plastic.. no more plastic..no more plastic

i can use these now!!!!
very cleverly you fix things for me that i loathe, mens underwear is something sad, truly, in the game. I dont go for realism (exept nouks hair that i love, but its not really really real right ) so all this work you do is a great gift. hugs and kisses

Hooray! I am officially a Phaenoh fan now. The others were right--the boxers looked like swimsuits and were way too shiny, and now they look really comfortable! I wish I could try them out myself

The reference to the Irish kilt-thing-outfit-whatever cracked me up
