The Halls of Moria

The world is grey, the mountains old,
The forge’s fire is ashen-cold;
No harp is wrung, no hammer falls:
The darkness dwells in Durin’s halls;
The shadow lies upon his tomb
In Moria, in Khazad-dûm.

J.R.R. Tolkien

Although Moria may look immense to some, I just want to note that its size is nothing but an illusion. In trying to achieve a playable lot, the lot file size now makes it one of my smaller lots at only 4 stories tall and 2.84MB in size.

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

This is truly beautiful, looks wonderful. Did you build it based on the movie or the book, just out curiosity. Personally, I use a combination of both. Thanks again!

You made an extraordinary lot with the given limitations of this game! Though I know the scene from the movie your solution looks close to my imagination I got reading the story years ago. A very well done illusion!! Thank you.

Very nice you have a great interpretation of the mines.

Yes I agree as well, quite shallow and pedantic....

A truly wonderful interpretation! One of my favorite scenes in 'Fellowship' is when they are walking thru the great hall...I love how you did the columns!!

Thank you all, for all of the wonderful words and feedback It’s great to know that this lot is enjoyed.

Vampire_of_Death –It’s hard not to be in love and influenced by the either the movie or Tolkien’s visual prose, and so I had created Moria based on both, with some of my own interpretations thrown in
