Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
No EPs required.
No custom content.

Description:
Small starter with fenced-in garden, furnished for 1-2 sims, with some spare room but no extra bedrooms. Covered front porch, terrace in the garden, room for two driveways next to the house.

1 x double bedroom
1 x bathroom
1 x kitchen/dining
1 x living room
1 x living area (empty)

All basics included, plus a chess set and a mirror.

Note that the last 2 tiles of the upstairs living area (underneath the roof slope) may not be fully useable (at least not without sims or furniture poking through the roof). When playtesting, I put a stereo there and that worked fine; the house is also weatherproof (playtested in Base+SSN). This is a "Bigger Attic", see here for a tutorial.

Shown in the pictures (but not included) is a roof recolour by Neveah223 @ ESB, from this thread.

Enjoy!

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

This is beautiful, I love the traditional look. I love all the windows! My only concern is that there isn't a bathroom on the ground floor, but that's a simply fix. Thanks for uploading another beautiful starter!

This is a really nice little house, the bigger attic really makes it look good on the outside.

Did you just hear a little squeal of delight? Yeah? Sorry, that was me. It really was your fault though, for making such a freakin' adorable house. Thank you!

Very cute I just love the enclosed porch area, I can't wait to try it. Maybe I missed it somewhere but what inspired the Newbie Road series?

Inspired? They're just .. starters. Inspired by a lack of roofs over sim heads, perhaps =) -- and I get bored quickly when building larger houses, so I like the 20.000§ limit. Even though I meanwhile have more starters than I could ever actually use.
