Welcome to Portland, Simcity. Another fully decorated neighborhood, this time based upon a request by RoccoClassique. Like Carnen this 'hood is also built with many of Criquettes decorations. Not all of them are required, but as this hood is landscaped to incorporate these decorations some parts will look odd without some of them.

Portland is, like many towns, built around the river. The river itself isn't as travelled as it used to be, but thanks to the highway and railroad Portland still is an important transportation hub for the area. The many tramlines are also a great way to travel and commute into Simcity. Down by the river you'll find the embankments, a popular place for the sims to walk and relax, especially on the lower levels close to the water.

Best viewed with a neighborhood view mod.

Portland was requested as a downtown to Carnen, but this download is a main neighborhood like Pleasantview. I did this to make it easier to share. If you want to have this as a subhood (downtown, shopping district, etc) you can use Mootildas HoodReplace program. This is very easy to do.

To install: Take the N157 folder located in the .rar and place it in your Neighborhoods folder. Make sure you have the cc you need before opening the neighborhood. Otherwise they won't appear. You need to download the decorations yourself, as custom content can't be packaged with neighborhoods, and are therefore not included.

Here is the CC used: (Not included)
Road Bridges Set
Bus Transit Set
Ultimate Railway Set
Modest Embankment Set
Cruise Terminal Set
Athletic Fields Set
Basic Tramway Set
Decorative Road Pieces Set
Basic Motorway Set
Marina piers and boats set

Additional Credits:
Criquette for great deco's.
Leesester for the name, and opinions.

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

Very nice, I always have room for more neighborhoods.
Since I already have ALL of Criquettes Items 'awesome stuff' this is an easy pick for me.
Thanks for your nice work on this

WHAT?!
Either you just made a pretty damn good sim version of my city (Portland Oregon, city of bridges), or we've become victims of one incredible coincidence.

I was literally checking out your other neighborhood just hours ago...when I came back you had uploaded this one. I really prefer this one because it is SIMilar to where I live. I have wanted to build my own neighborhood for a while, but Im always too busy. Thanks so much, can't wait to see it in game!

This is brilliant! I absolutely love it! I love the way you used Criquette's 'hood deco! I wasn't planning on playing the Sims tonight, but I have to see this in game!

Thank you!

As much as I love Carnen I was waiting, hoping you'd come out with another neighborhood soon!! Seriously, Carnen is like the only neighborhood I use and now I'm so glad to have another great one!

I don't think you need a mod to use any hood at all as a subhood -- at least I don't recall installing one, and all the neighborhoods I've ever downloaded or made seem to be available when I go looking for one to assign as a downtown to whatever main neighborhood.

I live right across the Columbia River from Portland, and that's exactly what I thought! Right down to the Eastbank Esplanade. I'm snatching this up!

Thanks so much for sharing!!

You are talking about terrains, I think .. this is a neighbourhood. People need to follow the instructions in the OP or it won't work.

That is absolutely great!
I really think you and Criquette should work together in the future.
And Plasticbox should build the houses.
That would be the most awesome sim world!
