However if the file from here does not work you can get it from the exchange:

Hello all. First I'd like to say this is my first Upload ever to ModTheSims, and I'm glad I waited until The Sims 3 came out. I can't wait to take advantage of all the CC that will be created by everyone here. So thank you for making this game more playable and fun

Secondly, I just did not feel that there were enough realistic beautiful parks in Sunset Valley. Highland Park is inspired by a park nearby where I live that is beautiful and VERY HILLY - trust me, i went through it on rollerblades and almost died =P Anyways, hope you enjoy the park!!

Highland Park

Welcome to Highland Park. Highland Park is a beautiful natural setting which is covered by deciduous woodlands, botanical gardens, hilly walkways, and a serene pond. Please enjoy the picnic tables and grills for a meal in the park, benches for reading among the foliage, various pathways to jog through, and a small pond for those anglers.

Lot size: 60x60

Features:
Pond
4 Benches in the park
3 picnic tables
2 Grills
Pathways are lighten up at night time
Public Bathroom with 2 stalls

I recommend putting this lot where Summer Hill Springs is, at 25 Summer Hill Court in Sunset Valley

Lot Size: 6x6
Lot Price: 66,001

If you would like to see another park, check out my Sunset Park!!

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

Wow, really nice. I hope all that vegetation will not slaughter my framerate, but the looks and layout are really promising. Thanks ^^

you installed it by:

1. first extracting the .rar file to a folder or desktop, etc... anywhere where you can easily reach the .sims2pack file that it creates.

2.
Quote:
Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).

3. which should prompt the TS3 launcher, and then start to automatically install itself.

4. you should have a window that pops up and states: Highlandpark{1}.sims2pack Success! Done.

5. click okay, go into the game, and the lot should be in the community lots section.

Hope this works

I'm from Rochester, too. And it looks close enough to be it. I recognized it right away! I don't have TS3 yet, but this looks gorgeous!

I'm afraid, there is. Same for me here... I downloaded a bunch of lots yesterday, unzipped 'em in the downloads folder, and installed 'em through the launcher. All good, everything works... except yours. The only difference that I can think of is that yours is the only community lot I installed 'till now, so maybe for community lots there something that works a bit differently?

I've installed Highland, same problem also. I'm running Vista 64, don't know if that helps. BTW, really great looking lot!

I'm afraid not... I still use my old, trusted XP 32... so I guess it shouldn't be related to the usual issues Vista has in terms of access rights to files.

I am on Xp too and the lot simply didn't show up in my game, whereas other lots I have downloaded work fine and appear in the game. It's such a pity, I'd really love to have this park in my game.

I tried to redownload but still it doesn't work.
Coffee, anyone?

Hey guys: If you are having game trouble, please don't spam up this thread. Post in the help forums. Have any of you tried deleting the lot and reinstalling? The EA launcher is proving to be worse than TS2 installer. No support in download threads as the download is packaged just fine. Thank you.

I'm worried that my latest Salvation Army donation will result in homeless people looking like sluts from the 90s.

I have tried deleting and reinstalling 5 times....Still does not load, I have tried using just the Installer, and "double-clicking on the lot itself to install-it shows up in folder as installed yet still does not show up. Have you tried installing it yourself?

Like others, this lot doesn't appear available in-game, yet the launcher shows it installed. I tried multiple times to uninstall, re-install, but still no lot in game. I have only experienced this problem one other time with Grimelda's Cemetary off the Exchange.
