Where do you usually find fruit of life?

You harvest them on the Life Plant. To grow a life plant, you need to find seeds, they are specials and unknown seed you can find in the wild. Exploring the catacombs is a nice way to find them along with other rare and special seeds.

Or you can use another mod that lets you buy the life fruit in the store.

Thanks for the mod, one day is too short and I saw one with 100 days and it was too long (unless you play on epic lifetime) this is really comming in handy, I was tired of cooking ambrosia for my 3 characters every couple of weeks.

Y'know, there's an easy way to get more out of your life fruit in the game already.

Go into Options. Drag the lifespan slider to the shortest setting. Go back into the game and have your Sim munch life fruit. Then go into Options and set the life span to whatever you had it before.

Well thanks Syera! But I think this is still a good mod though.

I was just going to add that you can find life fruit (and other things) at the science career building (you have to work there though...). You'll get an "event" box that will say that you get to take some things home...that's how I got mine.

What if you have the Life Span set to 960 or the max of the lifespan slider?
Will it still add days?

Thanks for this! Is there any way to make the life fruit more effective and last longer as fertilizer? All this constant fertilizing, ugh! (even with highest gardening skills and traits) Thankys

Nobody mentioned this. But there is a recipe you can buy called Ambrosia. Cook it, eat it. This will automatically set your lifespan to the maximum the game allows. For ex. in the long lifespan a young adult has 54 days before becoming and adult. If you are going to be and adult in 1 day. and eat life fruit. you now have two days. If you eat Ambrosia, you now have 54 days. Conversely, if you have 22 days to become and adult, and eat Ambrosia, you now have 54 days. The max is 54, and Ambrosia will simply reset the counter, giving you the maximum amount of days. As a result, this mod is a little useless. The recipe is in the book store.

If you don't want your sims to age you can go into the game options and turn off aging.. but thanks for the mod! Sometimes you want just a couple more days and life fruit isn't exactly plentiful unless you are a Perfect Gardener like one of my sims!

I would just like to say I like this mod. It is far from useless. First off when you turn off aging it stops aging of all sims on the lot and I only want my adult sims to stay adult longer not my baby sims to stay infants forever.
Secondly ambrosia is great but unless I need cooking for that particular sim I tend not to waste an overly large amount of time raising that skill. So since you have to have very high cooking to make ambrosia this could be a problem for people whos' cooking is not high enough. I do not necessarily like to use faster skilling mods either. So basically I find that for many people this mod will be very usefull indeed!
Thank you!!!!

Thanks, Yes, its really useful.
If only EA made their age slider a little more specific! I usually dont give a crap (still dont) about townies, so they can age and do what they please - but i dont want MY sims aging too quickly, and I dont want the toddlers and babies to stay small forever.

Id love to have seen a mod where each age group had their own slider, and not just the 3 options for length-of-life. Them using a slider to set it instead of buttons makes it seem to me like they initially planned to make it custom, but maybe for lack of time etc they kept it to 3. Hopefully they'll update it in a future EP.

So far Ive just been using ageoff and Ambrosia together to keep adult ages down, and shift-clicking age transitions when i wanted them. But this should make it easier.

thanks

This is a great mod. I use the Indie mod to have my townie families age and reproduce by themselves while my faves only do that manually.. aging off means they have babies that neve grow, so with aging on for townies this is great to keep some parents young some longer. I have an open garden in one of the homes where everyone can sneak away some life fruits without having to learn ambrosia.

Thanks so much! This mod is so helpful, especially when sims end up marrying someone about to become an elder.
